NONE of them know that they first became a nation in egypt, as the sons and daughters of Jacob, before their ancestors first experienced slavery at the hands of the egyptians, and other notable people in their history include Moses, Elijah, Daniel and Jesus the Christ!

As a person who has a Multi-Ethnic family/friendships (we Americans) have more overlap in culture than we want to admit. All Americans are apart of the greater American experience - we have to invest in our genealogy, DNA heritage to understand all humans come from different ethnic backgrounds.

We don't know our history, and most of us don't want to. When I say "history," I'm talking about ancient (black) African civilizations that civilized the world: Kush (Ethiopia) and especially Kemet (Egypt). We've been MIS-educated about Kemet, which some Afrocentric black scholars have said is the greatest civilization in history. Our scholars (e.g., Yosef ben-Jochannan, Anthony Browder, John Henrik Clarke, Cheikh Anta Diop, Asa Hilliard, John G. Jackson, George G.M. James, Runoko Rashidi, Ivan Van Sertima, Frances Cress Welsing, Carter G. Woodson) have done their part by writing the books. We need to read them.

Well for a start people of african heritage should stop being labelled black. Are chinese labelled as yellow ? Are Indians labelled as red? Are arabs labelled as beige. Their are no black or white people. Africans are different shades of brown. Europeans different shades of pink. Eg look at a tin of black paint and look at the skin of people of african hertage, its different shades of brown. I describe myself as carribean british. However its up to the individual how they see themselve .
