Great waves, my guess the secret is to know where there are rideable tubes and just surf those spots on those days, the locals seemed to make it out of the most tubes because they must know the waves... you know you are in some good surf when you aren't the only one with a camera there... that was fun to watch! In Hawaii they call that 4-5 foot waves I think.

Looks like your basic good size swell that hits better beach breaks in Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego etc. A lot of closeouts
Not as good as the reef breaks like Blacks, Baja Malibu or the point breaks like Trestles, Malibu, Swamis Etc.
I guess it's a good choice for the average Surfer but for an advanced Surfer nothing to write home about
