it's definitely in the touch n technique of the player to bring the guitar to life.. RJ..smokes it every time.. no matter wat league any guitar sits in
"Soulshine" is a song recorded by The Allman Brothers Band and released on their 1994 album Where It All Begins. It was written by guitarist Warren Haynes with vocals by Gregg Allman.
I love EASTWOOD guitars. Hope to cop my first very soon. Lance & RJ's demos are so fine. I love the unique designs, not the same ole "our take on a classic design" that "boutique" builders do. These guitars remind me of my younger days, when guitars were *cool*. EASTWOOD IS COOL. (Love the bends around 5:25, RJ.)
Yeah that is a cool technique, which I would have only known how he played it, with this video. By ear, I would not have a Clue. RJ ROCKS!!!!! He Rips up in that SD40 hound dog taylor video.
Lol.....been watching your content a lot these past few months. Did a Google search today to get reviews on the Eastwood Stormbird and who comes up playing a little Warren Haynes? My man RJ from 6 yrs ago.
We finally have! eastwoodguitars.com/products/stormbird More restock in all colors is on it's way, but pre-order now as people are excited these are back and they're selling fast!
Literally just got this yesterday! So far so good (scratchy tone pot on the bridge that seems to be affecting the volume, but other than that it’s lovely)
Good God; this guy can really play a guitar and I can hear it. Good chops is not musicality. This guy has both. He's a real pro. ... what is the thimble type thing on the index finger ?
I have no idea how good Eastwood guitars are, as RJ makes every one sound incredible.
Every guitar RJ demo’s sounds great in his hands
RJ. You are one fine guitarist and quite unique, which is a rarity. Love you videos, demos, playing style.
Reissued the stormbird today and had to come here to make sure I knew how to play one... @rj a legend

I'm not saying RJ should put his demo songs on an album, but I've listened to that first song a good 6 or 7 times over the last 40 minutes.
He's playing Soulshine by Gov't Mule!
Thanks!
Another great one is the Joe Jackson song on the first 3:00 of his Senn Model One demo; you'll need to play it as many times, too.

Great Allman tune. I believe it was written by Warren Haynes and sung by Gregg.
Tremendous playing as usual by RJ
That first song is so beautiful

Simply
Neck profile? I am a tele/Fender guy. Chunky necks don't like my fat, short, sausages.
Sounds great! Looks... not for me. I prefer my birds the other way up.

He uses a finger pick. Usually used for finger style with acoustic guitars.
like hearing him play. watching him? .....eh not so much
Recorded on android lmao
