I think the trim problem most people are seeing is that the trim doesn't automatically reset to neutral after a flight - unless you physically reset it. Thus when going up again - in any plane - the trim is already out of neutral, so the first time you touch it on a new flight it over reacts. Check it out.
USING A CONTROLLER UNDER ASSIST OPTIONS, USE ASSISTED CONTROLLER SENSITIVITY. It helps these birds feel way better. It might even help with flight sticks. Reminder that this was Deans first project for this game. And back when it came out almost exactly a year ago, the game didnt have any accommodations for super sonic flight characteristics. It also didnt really support proper physics for high thrust maneuverability especially combined with the weather. This partial top gun update added that. The Dev kit included these changes while he was making the F14. He even commented on lessons learned from the eagles that were incorporated in it. I played the sim when it dropped on Xbox and threw down on the Typhoon. I had some fun in the even worse version of it over the summer but the game was running like garbage on Xbox back then. I came back in early December and holy crap the difference is night and day. I bought the F15 pack immediately after. Was a way better experience than the Typhoon. Reading around and watching stuff about the F15s problems were out of date. I saw no airbrake was one of the bid deal breakers yet I had been using it all the time. I got the F14 a few days ago before the sale ended. Wasnt until after a few flights in it and getting back into the eagle that I did notice some textures that could be touched up but Ive never found more gimmicky switches to be that important. Trust me, The F16 from SC designs that should be on Xbox soon has had the FBW system hardcore tuned. DC and SC designs are the same group with the initials being different project heads. They all contribute to each project though.

Have you noticed that the throttle is not synced on both engines? Left side goes up faster than the right and they are only equal when both are full AB, or idle. Honestly it’s a deal breaker considering it makes the plane unstable at times and makes it extremely easy to fall into a spin.
Unstable? Prone to spinning? I've gone full afterburner with one engine off and the plane still goes straight-- just not as fast. Those engines sit so close together they have to be tuned for resonance. There is not much in the way of asymmetric thrust.
@@Pilot0083 that’s why I’d just run an intercept with a player in the sim, kinda goose his day don’t ya think? That’s kind what, and a very small part of what I did in the Navy. Running intercepts and doing TARPS reconnaissance on targets in the ME. I think I have to try out that F-14. I worked in the combat information center, and ran all of our aircraft in a different ATC kind of way. Anti submarine warfare, all the way to air intercept controller. I’ve got some stories to tell.
@@77bubba00 Not yet but they are working on it this month and hope to release the update at the end of the month. Most of their efforts were aimed at Concorde which has been released to the PC and Xbox marketplace yesterday.
I bought this the other day. But...... the throttle has an issue. Engine 1 throttles up faster then engine 2. I don't know how to cure it.. can anyone help?

It would be fun to try to intercept another aircraft in the sim. Like if you could find them on the radar and just sidle up behind them.

On Xbox when I try to use the missiles they are not appearing on the aircraft is that happening to all Xbox users?

Why do none of these planes go Mach 2?. I can’t get the f14 to go more than 800 yet the real speed of an f14 is about 1300/1400 mph?
