- at long last, it is finally finished.....
this animatic is my love letter to the BBH lore, and the ever changing friendship between bad and skeppy over the course of the story. i have been slowly working on this over two months, and am really happy i can finally share it. i hope you enjoy! - rat 🐀

i love love the part when bad is in a series of dreams almost. like when he wakes up IN A DREAM, to only then realize what actually happened after skeppy died (the banquet).. and then WAKING UP IN THE BOAT....
i keep rewatching this it's literally perfect.

The build-up from everyone being happy to Bad's slow realization of what he has done and the regret crashing down on him to Skeppy turning and it slowly reveals just the sadness and disappointment in his face god I almost cried.
Hands down one of my favourite animatics!
Skeppy being shorter than bad is literally the funniest thing I’ve seen today this is so sad but I can’t bring myself to look serious with skeppy being that short. Amazingly done btw!!

i’ve never watched or been particularly interested in BBH lore, BUT OH MY GOD. THIS ANIMATIC ALONE MADE ME CARE ABOUT THESE CHARACTERS SO MUCH???? THE FRAMING AND THE EXPRESSIONS & POSES…JUST MWAH!! BEAUTIFUL!!!!

I just can't explain how proud and sad I feel right now. I've been around your streams for the last 3 months by now, and to see this animatic finally finished is just- Congrats for the hard work, it was absolutely worth it
Help I just realized it's the boat at the beginning
My favorite thing about this animatic is that last daydream scene when bad wakes up on the beach. All their friends are at the home of their happiest memories and it's just a bit too perfect, but we're not sure why until bad starts running and we get the banquet montage (Foolish's frame in that is heart wrenching). bads expression slowly getting more distraught as he realizes that he killed skeppy and hurt his friends until he wakes up in that boat all alone? chills.
As soon as I saw this in my recommended I got excited; I love this song and I could tell right from the opening that I was going to love the animatic, too. It's such a beautiful harmony of nostalgia and bittersweet happiness, punctuated by the darkness and tragedy of the Egg arc. And to have Bad 'wake up' once, finding himself surrounded by beloved friends and family, only to crumble as reality forces its way through the cracks? Diabolical, it hurt my heart very much (in the best possible way).

I managed to not cry, but man, this was a rollercoaster of emotions
The fact that the music have a really happy theme and the animatic slowly develops into tragedy makes everything more sad
Absolutely adore this, so much! I’ve been rewatching this a lot and I just paused at 2:29 only to take a quick glance at the lava and it looks quite a bit like Skeppy’s face- Oh my loafs this is just so beautifully made
1 and half years later I still remember this gold masterpiece, this animatic and song really helped me go through some tough times

i can no longer watch this video/look at the thumbnail without my heart absolutely aching so i am writing this comment after closing my eyes and muting my tab. can i just say this is one of the most gut wrenching animatics in terms of hook, like i was there for every single egg lore stream but NOTHING got me as hard as watching this did, i was almost on the verge of tears at multiple avenues in this video and had to pause for a second or two to recollect myself to keep going. you really put the egg lore in a deeper perspective for me by putting the watchers in bad's shoes through the whole thing, it really generates a deep feeling of longing and loss and crushed hopes. God i could go on forever about this one, Absolutely phenomenal job from the both of you!!!

This is insanely amazing!!! I'm OBSESSING over this rn, every part of bbh's lore is summed up really well and really beautifully here!! (Also I liked the reoccurring frames with bbh & sapnap where the it gets progressively darker, amazing touch)

Your storyboarding skills are out of this world. You know how to portray the story so effectively and in such a memorable way that the viewer absolutely cannot tear their eyes away from the video, and at the end it really felt like we got to experience the long and eventful story alongside the characters in real time.
And the visuals overall are just incredibly beautiful.
I’m so excited! I’ve watched you guys work so hard on this and it’s incredibly well thought out and a lot of love and time was put into it. Even more hyped for the finished product and to see it all put together,, so cool!!! :]

Y’know this is probably the 8th time watching it since I’ve found it and probably the first time an animatic has made me cry a bit in public. This is sooo hecking good, the character designs, the EXPRESSIONS (bads is so bitter sweet sad ugh), progression of story, TIMING!! Like it’s gotten me liking the song too dude. Fantastic work!! And thank you for making it!

I throught "Ou, BBH Lore, why not watch it as the last video before going to sleep." I was awaiting the happier parts. I knew there might be evil ones. I knew this video might be a bit sad, but I didn't expect this to be so sad and to cry... Regardless, amazing video. But now imma head out to cheer myself up a little bit after this
This is literally so good oh my goodness!! Everything was done insanely well! I love the character's body language and expressions, it's very fun how you push them. The backgrounds are also really beautiful! I'm obsessed with this, I will now proceed to rewatch this 10 times

This is abselutly incredible! You perfectly captured their bonds, and the story while it progressed. There’s so many fantastic drawings and frames in this, I love the attentiont to details of the lore, how you draw each character, and so on. Amazing work!

HOLY CRAP?????!! OK where do I begin???? One, your style is so unique and dynamic and loveable and I love it and all of your character designs holy crap this looks like a high-production cartoon. Every frame tells so much story in itself and the composition is incredible. You’re able to acheieve so much tone and atmosphere through every frame too and the whole story is so clear and the expressions aaaaaa oh my gosh just every thing about this animatic is incredible. I’m going to have to rewatch to see all the details because wowwwwww

I looked at the title and I was like there’s no way it’s really a Regina Spektor dsmp animatic. And then I clicked on it and I heard the first few notes and was like IM GONNA CRY ITS A REGINA SPEKTOR DSMP ANIMATIC.

This is a work of art, probably one of the best DreamSmp animatics out there.
Every time I see this animatic, I think to myself “hey, you know, maybe I can watch it without crying.”
But here I am, typing this out and sobbing to the point where it’s hard to breathe. It shows so much emotion in such a short period of time, that this beats out the amount of times I’ve cried over any type of movie. It’s beautifully drawn, thought out, and executed. It shows the emotions Bad and Skeppy feel during all of this, and the part that breaks me is the end where Bad (either dissociates or dies as well, since they share lives?) And he starts crying at the sight of Skeppy and everyone on the shore and near the house. And every time he cries, so do I.
This is a masterpiece, and I hope you gain more attention from this, honestly. Props to you, because this is on the top three best DreamSmp and best animatics of all time for me, and probably a lot of others.
