Jamaican are all over the world they are major contributors to society and trendsetter, trailblazer. Thank you Miss Sheryl Lee Ralph, for really showing off your Jamaican blueprint. You incorporate your beginning in your career, and I respect that. We are proud of you. I wish others would emulate you and make this world a better place. Very sobering, and true. A friend of mine came up from Jamaica about 5 years ago to accept a Teaching position in Dallas. He was a teacher in JA and said how he had been living from hand to mouth, could not meet his obligations, all this while Teaching full time in Jamaica....He didn't want to leave but for him it was survival. He's a smart guy while Teaching he's earning his pharmacology degree....unfortunately it is very likely that those qualifications skills and experience will not be put to use in Jamaica, which is a crying shame.

    Well, like many other celebrities she said all the right things I hope she is putting her money where her mouth is. There are a lot of bright poor children in Jamaica who just cannot excel , no food, clothes or not even a proper place to rest there heads and the government doesn't give a damn. We are living in a sad selfish world!

    • @TheDarkDresser
      @TheDarkDresser Рік тому

      The goverment is indeed part of the problem, but also women and men having kids with different people when they themselves are unable to take care of themselves only adds to the problem. One female having multiple kids with various men, while each of those same men are having kids with various women is a recipe for dysfunction and is a contributor to the crime problem.
      At some point, we are responsible for our poor decisions, especially when we fail to learn from the first, or even second bad decision.

    Blessings to you Sheryl in abundance. I feel so relieved hearing that coming from you, a lady of great influence but I hope the "deaf" is listening. Same sentiments that I've been sharing for a while now. Focus attention on the youths...that's where the intervention starts. Teachers, police, soldier leaving in droves to join the USA system and governments over the years haven"t done anything to stem the exodus. The goverment and those in the higher echelons of society doesn't care. They have the financial & relevant resources to "fly out" in the case something goes wrong. But wait, Haiti is right on our doorsteps and we might just get there if something isn't done urgently.

    It’s about time the alarm goes off. I watched the value of education deteriorate in Jamaica 🇯🇲. We have come to a point where we promote dancehall over education. Jamaica forget the value of the most valuable and important thing to its society. We have a boxed economy where our children are so focused on money. It’s time for our leaders to stand up and start recognizing what’s more valuable to its citizens. Get stand up 🆙

    One of the problems is also that the education system in jamaica seems to be aligning to the US system. And from my own experience. US education system is a joke. The children in America are tested at yr 3 and y7. Simply to find out how many prisons to build. Jamaicas problem is that the traditional education system was modeled around UK grammar schools and quite successfully too. Jamaican children are known to be articulate and also know what career they wish to pursue from an early age. Once the government disassembled the UK standardized Jamaican system and aligned themselves with the US, It went down the toilet. I'm so over fayval. She looks so disinterested in the welfare of our children on the island. I was educated in Jamaica and the UK. I'm glad I wasn't in America. All of these issues sit firmly at the feet of the JA government. They are wholly responsible. Ineptitude, nepotism, and racism are at the heart of it all.
