The scripture says Jacob has I loved, but Esau have I hated.
Jeremiah 12:8
Mine heritage is unto me as a lion in the forest; it crieth out against me: therefore have I hated it.
Psalm 78:59
When God heard this, he was wroth, and greatly abhorred Israel:
These two scriptures show the LORD hating ISRAEL as well. This is why this lesson was put together.

next yes it is all nations that sojourn among Israel and not many of the children of Japheth come around Israel and receive the word of God for this salvation..they go about with their own understanding just as some of Israel does ..
next reason is your definition of Esau..thought it said he was red all over like a hairy garment..
I am confused 😮 this lesson ..first because isn't it the sons of Japheth that are/have been oppressing Israel and Israel scattered amongst their enemies..
Israel has been oppressed by not only the sons of Japheth, but also the sons of Ham. And the 10 northern tribes are scattered among the Hamites/Assyrians until THIS DAY per the scriptures:
2 Kings 17:23
Until the Lord removed Israel out of his sight, as he had said by all his servants the prophets. So was Israel carried away out of their own land to ASSYRIA unto THIS DAY.
