I am going to lake of the woods this season, what is your favorite time to run blades there? And any good resorts you can recommend?

I’m no expert, but maybe go to a lesser known resort. Lots of vacationers hang around the resort area, which wouldn’t make for good fishing. If you do stay at a large resort, you would have to travel quite far to find a good spot. Just a theory, though.

Late Jin thru early July are favorites for blades but honestly - I’ve caught lots of muskies on blades June, July, Aug and Sept. Best resort: Crow Rock Lodge.

Hey Joe, great tip! I've seen guys bend the shaft between the eye and spinner to get that effect. I was never comfortable with that. But THIS fits into my comfort zone. Some enterprising fellow might even roll is own spinners with it bent like that right outta the package 😉 BTW, 6" needle nose Vise-Grip = one of the best musky fishing accessories known to man. 👍

😀👊 Glad you enjoyed this tip. I completely agree -- a small vise grip is so handy for so many things. Vise grips are a ong my all time favorite tools. 🛠️
