Dang, I thought y'all were coming to see me! You got off at my exit and turned on Blalock, 1.5 mi up Blalock, my place! Y'all did good! Especially on the elevated through downtown, that's a death trap! No emergency shoulder.
Are these roads going parralel to highway I see two roads going parallel Is one service drive or surface drive In Chicago called Inner drive in Chicago
that is just what I came here to say... this is NOTHING for traffic in Houston... this is just normal everyday... easy day traffic... you got lucky traffic....lol

I grew up in Alief in the late 80's; there and Missouri City used to be very nice, middle class areas. We moved out of state in 1990 but I recently visited after moving back to Texas and visiting Houston....... Now???? Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit hahahahaha. Alief is looking ROUGH AF! So sad!
@@gregorriusadolphus2729 don’t get me wrong I love my city but whewww boy we got some issues but it could b worse I love Nola but I’d take the H if u picking up what I’m puttin down
From Arkansas been here for about 3 years. Houstonians love us. Everytime I get to talk about SEC football, I take it. Shoutout to Dallas aswell. They only love southerners, which I understand. Similar cowboy culture, same bbq style, boots and cowboy country (not the football team) it's a vibe. Back home there are alot texans aswell, especially in the ozarks. We get alone just fine. When it comes to Californians theres a love hate relationship. Californians know how to party. Theres a large presence of them in Arkansas aswell. Honestly they are cool af and understand what it takes to maintain texas despite what the media says. All in all its a vibe babeh.
Unreal youtube blocking my original reply. Smh. I have geeat memories in Arkansas. Hot springs the miami in the mountains and clear lakes surrounded by mountains.
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS grew up in pine bluff graduated in Fort smith. You have to visit North west Arkansas. In your videos, I only seen little rock & west Memphis. You will love NWA Razorback nation and you will probably see alot of texas tags during game season.
I guess you have your reasons for not checking out El Paso, but it does have it’s redeeming qualities. Aside from the obvious reasons, being a border town, it’s actually a pleasant town with warm, friendly ppl, awesome authentic Mexican food. Research it, it’s not that bad, and it’s a relatively safe town.
If I were driving I’d definitely move over to the slower right lanes looks like your holding up traffic driving slow in left lanes on highway😂 might save ya a few middle fingers being waved at ya in the city
Jose, Katie: Many salutations!!! Gratitude for sharing this road trip video; along with wishing that I could emulate it by my own hand, your bragging about the significance of Texas is very entertaining, Jose. Now having just said that, there is a bit of reproof that I believe is in order. Katie, I am loving the initiative of you having assumed the helm through the hectic highway culture practiced in Houston; still, I would really like to see you be a bit more assertive with your highway driving. The pacing of the video comes across to me as you driving at 50 mph at most -- not the mark of you being a good neighbor; if you were doing seventy, you would not have had as many impatient motorists leaping out in front of you. A highway is not for leisurely cruising; you have to actively work it. You did well to have already been in the right-center lane so that entering motorists have an easier highway entry; build on that some more!!! The only relevance the posted speed limit has is during inclement weather or heavy traffic or a mechanical malfunction with your vehicle; if none of those apply, STEP ON IT! You have just as much right to avail IH-45 as any of the motorists on that highway with you!!! Along those lines, the way you leapt to the innermost lane of IH-45 prior to availing the egress to westbound IH-10 was very dangerous and strongly demonstrated poor planning, Katie. Please consider availing Google Maps to proactively learn how the highway interchange approaches are configured so that you have a solid understanding about which lane you need to be in to bypass -- or avail -- the interchange in question. Here at 3 min 1 sec . . . signs alerting you to the major interchange with Loop 610. Now at 3 min 52 . . . a clue about the configuration of the interchange. Now at 4 min 22 sec . . . it is crystal clear what has to happen to bypass the interchange: keeping to the center three lanes. I really like how you pull this off in the center lane, Katie! Now having said that, it would have been good for you to have configured yourself to bypass the IH-45 @ US 59 interchange by changing over to the left lane after the 610 which would have positioned you into the semi-dedicated egress lane to westbound IH-10. A few minutes of proactive research with Google Maps would have helped you tremendously. The anthology of directory signs at 7 min 7 secs -- and again at 8 min 20 secs -- is of immense insight about how the highway will be narrowed in from the right. 9 mins 17 secs confirms my hunch. Ooooh, what a nasty little trick IH-45 did at 10 min 22 secs . . . now it will be a huge pain to get through all that traffic. Katie, do you see that inside lane joining the highway at 11 min 38 sec? That lane will become the dedicated egress lane to westbound IH-10; if you had been in the left lane prior to the point, the entry to westbound IH-10 would not have been as difficult. Driving through downtown Houston on the freeway is a lot of fun once you learn and avail the core mechanics of how the applicable highway interchanges are configured Jose . . . , I definitely agree with you about there being a lot to love about Texas which is the largest of the 48 contiguous states; still, you chose a bad time of the day to have turned west on IH-10 -- and recite that bragging. It would have been of greater utility -- and safety -- for you to have been reciting the egress cross street directory signs. Katie . . . here again, you having learned how the eastern approach of the IH-10 @ 610 interchange is configured would have made it easier to avail egress 759A on the first try. Jose, Katie . . . please understand that my criticism about the ill-timed and ill-planned chaotic driving maneuvers is because I really care about you two and want you in one piece so that you can make more videos. It is like Jose said, "Better to miss an egress than attend your funeral." Please avail Google Maps to get an idea of how the highway interchanges along your travel route are configured so that you know how to bypass (or avail!!!) the interchange without getting caught up in that Chinese fire drill people do around highway interchanges . . . I really would like to have explained why that takes place. Practice more situational awareness; there was another video where a lane was added to the inside of the frontage road and you leapt right across it to access the highway . . . DANGEROUS AND ILLEGAL!!! Enter the new lane and then the highway access ramp. Chaotic abrupt driving maneuvers are dangerous; Jose, were the frequent police encounters a hefty reason why you left Naples @ FL? Chaotic driving will give the police cause to challenge you so put a curb to that . . . please.
This must be between 9:30am and 1:45pm because this is definitely not traffic 🤦🏻♀️ in Houston Texas
or a sunday morning
You must not be from houston
Or maybe early Saturday morning

Dang Houston skyline is bigger than my hometown Dallas.
If you see it from a certain vantage point downtown, uptown, Greenway plaza and the medical center looks like one big downtown
