Been there a couple of times on day trips from my wife's family home in Agoo La Union. These were holiday trips from Melbourne Australia. Can't believe how beautiful and historic the Philippines is. Can't wait to get back soon.

Yes it's TRUE! Mama Virgen Mary hears all my Prayers. Through her intercession to Papa Jesus Christ and Father in Heaven, all my Prayers has been granted.

let's learn to respect each other's belief so the world will be at peace.

i respect you and your religion... But something thats prohibit in the quran and Old Testament has to be addressed so that people dont practice false pagan beliefs....otherwise there would be no peace with god and in turn no peace on earth since its the creator who sets peace and happiness on this earth

      Jibreel sulayman
You forgot the Animist believe in Anito but they don't praise the wood so as other pre-hispanic filipinos it just a symbol, it's like a picture of your family that you keep in your wallet and always look at it but you don't praise the photo or that piece of paper instead it reminds you of your love ones. but better respect people's other belief and god usually judge us on what we do on this earth and he will judge us all after life. Other People's belief in God of Mountain, Air, Water, Sun or Moon. So people have different beliefs so if we don't respect each other's people belief just to prove that our faith is much better than the other one then we will never get peace on earth. Ilocanos call her APO Baket. APO is a Pre-Hispanic of LORD/GOD in Anito, APO Baket, APO Lakay etc.

Jibreel sulayman Pre-Spanish Filipinos also worshipped the spirits of their ancestors called anitos. They carved wooden or stone idols to represent their gods and anitos, which they kept in their homes and propitiated with food, animals and other sacrifices to bring about success in war, a bountifuI harvest, or a happy marriage. However, not all anitos were benevolent. Bad anitos existed in the shapes of the spirits of dead tribal enemies.Besides the Supreme God, there were lesser gods or spirits. They were called anitos. There was an anito of the forests and mountains. They prayed to him whenever they went out to those places to hunt or get timber. There was an anito of the planted field who they invoked for good harvest. There was an anito of the seas. They prayed to him for good luck in their fishing expeditions and in their voyages. There was an anito of the house, too. They invoked him when someone was sick or when a child was born. Christianized Filipinos mixed their Pre-Hispanic Animism to their Catholicism if you don't know, They offered food in the Altar along with Catholic symbols & photo of a dead love one in the family and Ilocano call this tradition 'Atang'.

This is what im saying praying to these false deities amounts to shirk( associating partners with god) which is a major sin i the first commandment and in the quran as well...if god is not ok with it then why should we...god says there is no god other than me...but then people tell god no i want to worship this tree or idol ...and no its not the same with a photo of your family member because people are literally seeking help and blessings from these statues..and statues themselves cant help or benefit themselves so how are they going to benifit those who ask.
