Daniel Busch it’s messy and too much traffic with 15 balls on a barbox. I’ve played it. What I don’t know is what the “ideal” number of balls is. 1 ball one pocket is a totally different game on any table. So that’s off the deck as a plan. 6 would break weird and wouldn’t be much of a game because there’s no trap after the break. I played with 10 and it was pretty good. The barbox was a pretty tight table(hard to find) maybe a Diamond barbox with 10 balls would be a interesting game. That mite be too easy for pro’s and be a 6 & out runout fest. And work better for weaker players. Just a few thoughts that come to mind. One pocket is really a 9’ table with 4” or tighter pockets game. That’s been the standard forever. On a big pocket 9’ table it’s not a great game. Also styles make a huge difference in one pocket. Interesting topic. Fun to think about. Best Fatboy
Great match and thank you! I’m not sure if I agree with making the ball on break, then it’s your opponents turn to shoot. He might have a easy 2-3 ball run while you’ve only got one ball. I think it’s fair to check the rack and if it’s tilted or a corner ball not frozen, re-rack. Then if you make a ball on break ,keep shooting. It’s not perfect but it works for our league.
Damn I miss Daniel ...... say what you will but POVpool had the BEST streams..... wherever you are Daniel......a big howdy to both you and Geraldine.....miss you buddy
Hey Jay! Longtime no see. Geraldine and I are good. We got married in March and both working fulltime since Covid. Not much streaming these days. I got bills to pay...lol
@@POVPOOL ....yeah, da bills....damn good to know you are STILL ALIVE.....LOL....really nice to hear from you..... y'all are still the best..... when are y'all leaving California and coming to the USA??....come on down heah and chew and spit like real sho nuff backwooders....get out of there....love ya brother
Ooops.....had to go back and edit....it's late here in south Georgia (jawja)and I'm old....not as old as John though(he's amazing)....I'm chasing him down..stay well both of you
Thanks POVPool, this was a great match. Does anyone know why Shane didn't win rack 5 when Alex sunk the last ball in Shane's pocket and scratched? Why were two balls spotted? Wouldn't Shane get the point and the score would be 8-6? Thanks.
If it their cue ball control doesn't look like two of the best players on the planet it's because they are using the light cue ball that came with the set instead of the measle ball.
♥♥ Nah. You can't have it where you made a ball on the break, but, it's the opponent's turn. That being said, it's up to the "house rules" to dictate whether you re-rack or not. ""House rules" always should be the deciding factor - UNLESS the players agree to abide by rules other than the house rules.
The fairest, most logical way is for the opponent to rack the balls then if you make a ball on the break you keep shooting. In 8, 9, 10 ball the whole point is to make a ball on the break. Why should one pocket be different. As long as there is no way to cheat you should be rewarded for making a ball on your break.
I still play old fashion one pocket where the opponent racks if I dont trust my opponent or he does not trust me i dont need to play him. I can always find another game
Geez what are you going on about SVB and his flaws so much for?? Lol then 1hr40min in you tell me who wins?!! My favorite commentator until 15 mins left
Great match, but i had to watch on mute, the commentary was annoying me. I don't need to hear the commentator's opinion on shot selection, just tell me what is happening in the match. And it's not that hard to keep score correctly, it's not exactly a fast paced game.
Wow, what an absolutely brilliant (yet simple) solution to the rack/re-rack dilemma!
Loving these unreleased matches. Thanks guys!!!
You are awesome for posting and sharing. Thank you!
56:56 put it in the highlight, got it boss
What a shot @ 5:30
I dont play any one pocket to have an opinion on the break but they are both great shooters. Is there a bar box version of one pocket?
I've seen people play one pocket on a bar table. Same format and rules. You could play a short versions of the game like, to 5 balls.
Daniel Busch that’s the only way to play 1P in a barbox is “short rack 1P”
Fatboy :)
@@EricPetersen2922 - Thanks for that info. I thought it would be a smaller rack but I don't know all the facts.

What about an 8ball saratoga type rack?
Great match and thank you!

That’s a great idea I’d play like that for sure
Why should one be punished for making a ball in ones hole?
It is interesting to watch one-pocket match for a change but is it necessary to show all the thinking and walking around the table?
Ok, but then you should display the table from above. Again, one pocket is an interesting genre.
Can someone please explain the rules to me, i'd really appreciate it! :)
@@theabhorrentchef7226 thanks a lot!

Como eu queria entender esse jogo, Deus do céu.
the guy says spoiler alert, then immediately tells us Shane comes in second in this tournament. Undercutting us and his own best interests.
It is hard to 2nd guess a world class player, but you still do it. lol

Or you can re - rack 'em

John Walding - or if your a rack mechanic ;-)
Best,

If your gonna play make a ball on the break and keep playing.. you opponent needs to be able to rack the balls not the shooter..

If in 9 ball and 8 you can win on the break why can’t you keep shooting also I think the opponent should rack! Then it shouldn’t matter!
Pocketed a ball on the one pocket break, it should be rerack n break. Don't continue shooting.
