Nice job, I have been watching your channel for over a month. I love how you explain the science of lure construction, and finish work is the best! Great job! Gary
I don't have the stuff for molding lures, but I still enjoyed watching you make this and picked up a few pointers. Thanks for the post, Franco! Looking forward to part two.
After sanding for leveling all 3 parts, the lure wasn't so simetric. The left lateral side was a little bulkier near the tail(3'rd segment). Not so important to change the swim but it was there. :P My mother in law eye saw that.
I like this a lot. Ever think about making an eel lure but the same way. All the different sections. Like ur videos a lot. Can't wait till Friday to come to see what ur going to do next.
Hi! Here's my entry for question of the week. What if I want to cast a mould of a lure that comes with a factory made, hard plastic dive lip? Specificaly, I'd like to make a copy or two of Rapala shad rap shallow running (for my own use, in case anyone from Rapala is reading) which is something I never did before but am seriously considering it since I'm down to the last lure. Do I simply make the mould in a way where I can cast the lip out of plastic as well or will that be too weak?
@@EngineeredAngler thanks for taking time out of your day to answer. I really enjoy your videos and have learned a lot, I hope great things for your channel moving forward. Cheers
I don't know how I missed this when it came out but better late than never

Awesome, thank you!
You had me hooked at the intro on this one! Such a cool and versatile idea. Sure hope your wife is feeling better, Franco.
Thanks so much!
I really like how you figured out where to put the line tie. Good stuff.
Glad it was helpful!
Wow that's a great mold. Can't think of anything much better than an engineer making cool fishing lures. Thanks Franco for all you do.
Glad you like them!

Franko I really like how you roll with issues when building like the hinges. Another informative video.
Thanks 👍
Awesome video as always..the bloopers at the end are hilarious..be cool if you did a little video of all the bloopers..love your work..cheers 🍻🎣
Excellent work as always. I really like your hinge detail, thanks for sharing!

She was right...I saw it too. Did my best to fix it.
Really cool concept! Hopefully there is a test coming of a variety of segments and how it behaves!
Looking forward to seeing the next installment. Cheers
Enjoy
a true master of lure building - fantastic job

Thanks! This is great information.

That's a worthwhile question...keep an eye out for the answer.
Tie eye placement trick is the sh!t !!! Thanks.
Took me a long time to come up with that. It's not perfect but it's pretty good and easy to do
Would you ever make a pdf with a printable lure with all the specs on it? Such as size, hooks ,weights. Possibly traceable?
Yes...just need to fi d the time.
Nice lure 👍
Thanks 👍
With your swim baits do you always add a split ring to your line tie? I found it gives the bait more freedom to move naturally
No but it doesn't hurt.
Wow! Amazing concept!
So would you do a hinge the same way using lexan??
Yes
just in time for shark week
What resin do you use?
Another great video ++
Thanks again!
Why don't you use a drill press to make your drilling more symmetrical instead of by hand so you don't get that drill wobble or misalignment
These are small pieces and getting them steady in a vice without damage is harder than holding them...For me at least.
If you could only choose one UV resin to clear a lure, what would you choose?
Honestly the only one I found that didn't work well was an industrial version. Every hobby/craft resin has worked well. I find the best price....
