- Now with good audio quality with video: Matt Stone and Trey Parker at the 2016 San Diego Comic Con Hall H panel celebrating South Park and its 20th Anniversary. Chris Hardwick is the moderator.
At one moment in this clip I use another videoclip from youtube-user:
ghostriderfan08 and his/her video: Highlight from the South Park 20 panel SDCC 2016.
Can't believe these dudes wrote every single thing they ever put out. That's hustling man. That's a lot of work. Even the video games. That's also... having some god damn tegrity...
During season 8 of South Park (2004), they were also working on Team America. They’ve stated that during that year, they had a total of about 5 or 6 days off,
weekends concluded. These guys take the term “workaholic” to a completely different level.
The word to sum up your point is: Genius'
@@colins7771 yeah the sign of a true genius is somebody who's mind never stops, not in an ADD way but in a focused and typically creative way
Will you stop it with that?!
What part of this is funny to you?!
(get the reference?! hint, Eric gives Kyle HIV)
to be fair they didn't do most of season 2. one of the only real exceptions to the rule that they do everything. still incredibly talented and hardworking guys tho
For y’all who are looking for the Tweek part: 49:12

Trey finally got his dream.
He owns Casa Bonita.
Now he just needs to build
Cartman Land
I would go every year!
best part about that....."You can't come" It would be a theme park just for Trey lol
I’ve never been to a theme park in my life, but I would 100% go to Cartmanland.
@Vivian Nichols but then he have too let some people In too pay security
Omg that would be awesomeee
The fan questions were giving me second hand embarrassment
Best comment ever..
"I'm TWEEEK :3333333"
I agree. Btw., the German word for this is Fremdschämen. Feel free to incorporate it into your language
Yeah most of those questions were straight-up terrible
This always happens with audience questions at conventions unless it's a professional conference.
i was 11 years old and bigger longer uncut came out. I was in spokane washington at the time and i had been watching south park in my room without getting caught. I wanted to see this movie so bad in theatres i raised my own money and grabbed my favorite kenny doll and went to the movies and got denied because i wasnt 18. I am not joking when i tell you that i went and asked a homeless guy to watch the movie with me. He said no. but my friends cousin ended up taking us but now i had to pay for 3 people. That theater was in roaring laughter. ill never forget when uncle fucker came on. ill never forget looking at my friends cousin crying with laughter.. and the fact that 11 year old me assembled this fucking adventure.
I love stories like this. Another example of how cinema shapes lives.
Great story :)
My uncle used to sneak me the vhs tapes. I hid them in my piano bench and would watch them when my parents weren't home. It's hilarious to think we had to try so hard!
This sounds like a South Park episode... 🤔🤔🤔
@@malecadam8182 whats even better is only until remembering that did i realize that in the actual movie they tried having a bum get them into a terrance and phillip movie. it blows my mind how on par i was then. the world was my oyster haha.
I wish Matt would grow back his Jewfro like back in their baseketball days.
It's becuz he is to grey now.. life IS death
Me too
Facts he looked cool
The best stone look - like on Conan O’Brien
Sometimes you get old and you get this thing called having less hair because you’re old now. I doubt it would have the same body and thickness. It would just end up looking kinda sad.
"You look at computer monitors and it would be either South Park or Warcraft" is a perfect description of my school's computer lab around 2009
If I could spend two hours with any celebrity it would be these two guys. They are so relatable in a business filled with unrelatable people.
Me too dude!!
They are so valuable especially nowadays because it is even more rare now to find people like them in any field nevermind entertainment. They really must piss pc people off, they can't be shut up, dumbed down or patronised if somethings funny it will be said doesn't matter who or what you are and if you dont like it tough titties because in comedy either everything is ok to joke about or nothing is!
Me too man me too
South park is THE only good, ongoing show on comedy central now.
Yeh it's ongoing but without any new season.
@@spiritlevelstudios True it has been a while, but give the dudes a break, quality > quantity. CC still plays the same 2 seasons of the Chappelle Show from nearly 20 years ago, while pretty much every show they've shit out in the last 10 years has flopped. I think what happened is that CC tried pandering to the "woke" crowd & started hiring young, straight out of college writers, who care more about political correctness than being funny. Watch broad city & you'll see what I mean.
@@fortunekookimon4610 no dont make me watch broad city! lol

Trey reaching for his phone at the end of the interview. Not to check the time or his messages, but to get a selfie at ComicCon with his fans on stage. There is a lot of humility and grace in such a simple act.
These two created arguably the most important show for the comedy genre in history IMO. They have always pushed the boundaries and taken chances which has provided me with over 20 years of laughter and enjoyment. From cartman gets an anal probe to the post Covid special I have yet to miss a show. I love these fucking guys. There show has made me smile when I was in a bad mood more times than I can even count.
I can't believe the generation that grew up on South Park is the most offended by jokes. I blame helicopter parenting and a school system that tells you to regurgitate whatever you're told by authority figures.
*They’re
What is the point of saying "arguably"? Would could argue over ANY show.
I dont know how old you are, but Beavis and Butt-head was also a cultural cartoon phenomenon in the early 1990's. Honestly it could be said it paved the way for Matt and Trey. It pushed the envelope and south park pushed it further. I'm not comparing the 2 because you can't. They are both so different and so important in their own right.
@@maliciousclouds1614I get what you mean though and Matt and Trey have talked about the tight relationship they have with Mike Judge. Funny enough Mike Judge actually voiced Kenny for the South Park movie!
THE WAY TREY ROLLED HIS EYES AT THE TWEEK COSPLAYER JSJSNSNSNSNSNXNSNKS
I admire Trey Parker and Matt Stone for everything they have done for South Park with the scripts and storylines , voice acting , funny dialogue and made these characters unique 😁.
I have bingewatched South Park during the Corona lockdowns and it had helped me get through my days with laughs :)
I remember when I was a kid, my uncle and his daughter was watching South Park. They told me to go upstairs but what they didn't know is that I went to the top of the stairs, sat, and watched South Park through the mirror behind them. Lmao
I’m a horrible parent all 3 of my kids have watched South Park. They are now 8,10 and 16 and they were watching it years ago. Someone will eventually call cys on me.
I think they knew and were busy laughing.
Ok I’m 99% on this. The funniest part of this is watching Trey and Matt trying not to crack up when someone steps up to the mic and ask a question.

Legitimately thank you so much for this channel, Trey and Matt are hilarious to listen to but it was always difficult to find much of that content on UA-cam, but not anymore because of you!
It’s super cool that as a kid me and my friends laughed our asses off watching South Park. The show continued to grow as we did and now, here we are, 20 years later, still laughing our asses off together.
It takes real talent to write amazing episodes for 20 years, multiple movies and a Broadway musical. Amazing, glad these guys followed their dream and became what they are today.
9:04 Matt's smile says he knew exactly what Trey was gonna say lol.

Because they're nerds at a nerd convention. South Park rules though
@@twopoundsofbeef true but I mean I wouldn’t say “erm my names Tweek and urm I just wanted to know erm I how many times you killed my friend Kenny?” And Tweek and Kenny aren’t “friends” I don’t even think but eh whatever you do you, it just was kinda weird but at the same time there not really harming anyone so I guess it’s okay idk.

I think its time for a new south park movie..
I like how Trey Parker *looks* like like a responsible young-ish dad now but *feels* like an immature child (basically a real life Cartman).
i have been watching it since i was 10 years old and still love South park.
Baseketball is one of my favorite movies. I've had it on DVD for about a decade and watched it a handful of times before I personally owned it. One of my originally rewatched movies
i have already loved this show to the deepest but when that episode in season 21 where heidi goes "he's nice to me when we're alone" i realized that... south park has painted in complete accuracy and acute execution an emotionally abusive relationship at the hand of a narcissist. that season was fucking awesome ♥
I shed a tear hearing the Tweak cosplayer speak
The Tweek thing was most DEFINITELY a troll…
I hope it was 😂
33:21 Trey's trying so hard not to cringe
God it was so bad omg
Thank you so much Matt and Trey for making my life better!!!
My favorite part about hearing their interviews is that sometimes Trey will just break into a Cartman voice and just makes me think he had Cartman possibly long before he ever made him
Trey's 'Princess' shorts had a Cartman-esque voice singing the intro and that was before South Park existed
cartman is based on there friend
Cartmans voice appears in cannibal the musical in the backround of a scene
@@thetoot9615 the princess shorts are from 1999-2000
I've just discovered this for the first time. How ironic that Trey discusses losing out on buying Casa Bonita and now they own it. Also how they kept their word and addressed that girls "nipples out" question that season with the "Wieners Out" episode. These two have quietly become an entire generation's Abbott and Costello, Aykroyd and Belushi, Laurel and Hardy, Lewis and Martin...
I hope they never tire of making themselves laugh and sharing it with us.
I have a slightly vivid memory as a 4 year old in 1998, during my older brother's 10th birthday party, and he/they were watching some episode of the first season, haha, South Park for life!

I laugh every time i hear Craig’s lisp in Matt’s voice
These guys warped my mind at a early age. God bless them
I CANT STOP WATCHING THE TWEEK CLIP ASHDJSJDJDJDK
Man the host really thought he was the third creator of South Park, he kept answering all the questions himself.
My uncle gave me the viral tape! And when they were on TV he recorded every ep, pausing it at commercials. So I guess I'm a second generation superfan.
49:12 pain
33:30 was way worse
I thank my parents for letting me watch this show, granted I knew better to talk like how they were around the grownups
My grandfathers father and mother bought the movie to me when i was 11 (1999). They thought it was okay because it was a cartoon hahaha
This is a legendary friendship.
Regarding the dumb "free the nipple" question, they already did that with Ms. Choksondik.
27:44 I love that Matt Stone still laughs at the name of the video game that he himself created.
Has Matt, Trey or Mike Judge ever mentioned eachother? I feel like the 3 of them are the absolute kings of cartoon comedy. I'd say all 3 of them are legend status at this point.
mike judge voice unhooded kenny at the end of bigger longer and uncut
The girl who asked about 'free the nipple' didn't sound very smart, lol. Also; imagine being Trey and Matt, and every time there's a q&a, someone tries to be quirky in hopes they make fun of them on the show.
Yeah that or the random people are just weird cringe people
I could listen to these two talk forever.

You could literally see them cringe at the tweek cosplayer
I watch critter Christmas every Christmas. It's one of my favorite episodes.
49:12 i audibly screamed no
Wow, cant believe they predicted that in 5 years there would be grandpa marsh and the kids would grow up. That is amazing (16:33)
The most impressive thing about these guys is that they are still 50/50 partners and friends after building a billion dollar empire. That's what I admire most.
Is the audience under the influence?? Holy shit

Fair play to Matt and Trey for having the patience to tolerate these (edited for UA-cam) "special" people in the audience. Especially that guy with the Baseketball sneeze. Good God.

They've had heir highs (no pun intended) and they've had their lows, but one thing is for sure... none of it was BAD. Matt Stone & Trey Parker mediocre is leaps and bounds superior than 90% of the comedic crap found on TV and the internet. These two are utter geniuses.

49:54 / this whole bit from Trey I relate to, because with games and movies and such I never even bother with a trailer or reveal or anything. I just hear about it and then cut it there and it makes everything so much better.
Growing up EVERYONE was obsessed with SouthPark besides me, despite being a fan… Years after the hype I matured to get the satire of current events & truly appreciate it 👏 Legendary.
God sometimes fans of shows I like make me wanna throw up, I mean like why did that person make the entire South Park fandom look bad dude. Like poor Matt and trey had to sit threw that without laughing, the fact they had the guts to say that in front of them is wild. Like I like cosplaying as my favorite characters because it’s fun, but I don’t do that kinda shit like that made me gag.
I swear these guys switched names to fuck with people because Matt looks like a trey and trey looks like a Matt
