To anyone going through the recovery journey right now, it certainly doesn’t feel like it, but what you’re experiencing is a blessing in disguise.
Once you overcome this, you feel like a superhero. Nothing brings you down anymore. Of course, life is always throwing things at you, but once you recover, you can handle anything.
    Good luck.

@@diartahazrolli9411It's a super common symptom of anxiety. I felt like that all the time. You can't engage with those intrusive thoughts. You acknowledge them, accept them, and go about your day as much as possible. Don't give it fuel, it will pass, I promise.

No one asked i know, but small tip - dont view it as “survived”. By telling yourself that you just confirmed that it is a huge threat and you literally barely survived.
Practice those things but send safety messages to your brain, teach it that YOU ARE SAFE, NOT IN DANGER - that you didnt survive anything, cus you were never in any real danger to begin with, it’s just nerves and you felt uncomfortable, that’s fine and understandable - but not dangerous.

    My story of Anxiety disorder:
_ August 2022, i was diagnosed GAD , the doctor gave me Paxil and I got back to normal after 1 month. After taking Paxil for 8 months, I decided to withdraw the med. It took 4 months to withdraw and i stopped taking Paxil.
_ Life without Paxil: it took 3 weeks to eliminate the withdrawal symptoms. After 6 weeks, the Anxiety relapsed and it took 8 weeks to get better.
_ The first setback hit me on the 4th month after stopping Paxil. It took 2 weeks to deal with it. The 2nd setback hit me 4 weeks later and this time there were more physical feeling symptom and less anxiety.
Currently, im feeling much better , i still at somewhere 80% of the recovery. The most difficult thing is to deal with intrusive thoughts. They always keep you low and lose hope.
_ Thank to Shaan Kassam , your channel helps me alot.

Watch out with the meds. They are great but you won't be allowed to take them forever.

I love your videos because they are concise and efficient. Do you also have ones with OCD related to PTSD and how to recover from it?

Yes. I've had all of those sensations for over a year, but have improved greatly listening to shaan's advice. I could not even be alone a year ago, and now I'm well on my way to recovery.

How much time does recovery take ? I am suffering for last close to 10 months. Initially aftwr 2-3 months of counseling and JPMR it had gone. But after 1month it cane back again. Now it is taking time. It is easier sad than done. I will be good the entire day at work. I keep myself busy. But when I come home anxiety starts. A small muscle twitch or strain is enough to keep my night and the next day in anxiety. I know not to think negative but everytime something happens to me i think it is heart attack. I know it is not I did health check up recently. I am fine. Byvthe way I have BP..I am under medication and this is the reason for my worry. Stress in my life caused panic attack and anxiety issues and the BP. Now BP is causing stress and anxiety. Such a horrible vicious cycle i am trying to come out of. I am undergoing CBT now. Hope I recover soon.

Bro lock urself somewhere really quiet and meditate, if you’ve never meditated before do some research about it first like on UA-cam or google. Trust me it helped me so much with my depersonalization and the mental symptoms like tiredness and sadness
