Great discussion, ladies. But I think it's time we interrogate some of the beliefs we've held for a long time and form objective opinions based on truth and reality. I know we say this thing about men being able to walk around bare-chested as a joke, but really, how many "normal" men have we seen in town bare-chested? I've only seen that at the beach or the poolside. I may be wrong, but women not being able to go bare-chested is probably not because we'll be sexualised but because it's just not socially appropriate, same way it's not socially appropriate for men to be bare-chested. Besides, I'm pretty sure we won't feel comfortable being topless. Women lament about how badly they have it, but men are not exactly walking around on roses. They equally have struggles that we don't know about and cannot even understand. We romanticise men's lives as if they have no problems at all and as if nature and society have simply decided to make life hell for women. We must stop victimising ourselves. Life is hard, and it is hard for both men and women in different ways.
If I were a boy,I will treat every girl right. Like Dorothy,I am not too quick to conclude on people because I have endured years of being misunderstood; either for my words, actions or even affiliations. I give people the benefit of the doubt. My biggest turn off is a lazy man. Lazy in the classroom, lazy at work...lazy lazy. I wish I didn't know that I too am overly emotional. Also,I come off too straightforward and it hurts certain people. I really wish I didn't know these things about myself. I also hate the "when are you getting a boyfriend" question. Now...to what I would change about my life right now?? Reduce my expectations!!!!! My expectations have frustrated me. But life is not how "I plan it". Life is how "God has planned it". And it does happen in His time. The best thing about being female is God's favour...God makes me feel like "His little girl". The worst thing is carrying the weight of the world. Amen. I receive the Texas prophecy too.
Funfact: Bras were invented and patented by a woman. Push up bras however were invented by a man. It may be exciting to ride on the idea that bras were invented because breasts disturb men but interestingly bras are of benefit to women, helps to prevent sagging breasts which most women hate.
