Thank so much for this. I grew up from birth in the end house of Shaftesbury Avenue/Oldlands Walk. As I grew up with other kids, we ventured further on bikes and could get safely to Coate Water via the 2 subways and then over the "Curly bridge by our early teens. Fond memories of Coate and areas surrounding my childhood home will always be in my heart and its so good to get such great quality views from the air which I have only seen on Google earth which is of course only a representation.
Looks lovely from the view from the Drone shame that it has been let to go to ruin around the public interface by a disinterested Swindon Borough Council. Needs a really good and thorough overall and spruce up before it will ever be even near what is was years ago before years of neglect and mismanagement.

Yes I agree. Liked the boating to went fishing on a punt. Great place years ago
