Favors was my Mentor.. He Always asked me if I was "SERIOUS" as per the Bass...Then, at a celebration concert for them, he gave me the bass, Live, and told me to pPLAY.. (With Light Henry huff, George Lewis, Khalil El Zabar,..amoung Others, LIVE..!!) I'll Never forget it!! Later was hired by Kahlil for one of His GIGS!!

I saw this ensemble about 7 years before this while attending SUNY at Buffalo. They were simply the most together improvationists at the same time. Incredible.

I saw (heard) Malachi and Roscoe play a concert as a duo and it was one of the most sublime musical experiences I’ve ever had!

Try Urban Bushmen. It is an excellent live album from this period.
