After this performance I have my winner 1000%. She's going to be fantastic as years pass by. She's young, humble - not like many teens in her age - I am so lucky to find her audition on UA-cam. Thanks UA-cam. Thanks BGT. This is just priceless. Ireland give so many supprises to us.
I stopped the video right when she said, I think there is always someone better than you. Had to comment and say that is such an amazing comment because unless you are the .000001 of the top %1 that is so true! Just finished watching and yes she was amazing! Am excited to see how things work our for her because I think she will make it very far in this industry. Good luck Leah!
Matt Elliott Yes, she right, always someone technically better, but it's the heart and drive that get you to the finish line. Look at some of the stars invading our radios stations with music talent that is highly annoying and questionable. These people made it somehow? And I'm pretty sure raw talent wasn't it.. The music business is highly subjective and sleazy. This beautiful young lady is the quintessential star to me.. I'm not going to get into what I think of the selection process this show uses to pick winners, I'm sure we would all agree it's always been a bit mysterious and highly disingenuous. I hope in the future, the music business will be about music again and not completely focused on greed. So, there it is..
Yes, once you believe you are the best you kill aspiration and stall any potential for improvement. This young girl appears to be wise and grounded beyond her years.
Such a humble thing for her to say. On top of her amazing talent, she comes across as a sweet, lovely decent girl. (And her little brother was a darling too.)
I would be proud to have a brother like hers. He seems like her biggest supports. looks like he was praying at one point and crying at others and thoroughly excited for her when she got through. I can see why. She is really good considering her Irish accent she did a great jobs getting it spot on with the words and notes.
opera is the kind of music even if you dont understand the language it can make you cry or give you chills.she nailed it.am half italian and i grew up in a household where opera music was played all day long but i cant sing even if my life depended on it.
My attention to her brother, how he love his sister. His nervous for his sister and his the first stand up, screaming, his really love his sister. Just amazing.
alec petrossian . A little funny how Simon always struggles to stand. he had to look at his side, hold the arm of the chair, and drag...... before standing. 😂😂😂. Man!
I absolutely love it when I watch and hear someone sing "Caruso" who clearly knows the meaning and context of the aria. It relates the pain and longings of a man who is about to die, meanwhile looking gazing into the eyes of the girl he loves and must leave with so much never done. It is masterful and tragic. The emotions are clearly reflected in Leah's face. She knows full well the sadness in the words. The song is bound up with the sadness and regrets of her character. One can hear it in her voice, her face, even her body language, from start to finish. Contrast this, for example, with Jonathan Antoine when he and Charlotte perform "Caruso" for their BGT semi-final. Jonathon stands there smiling like a clueless child while she sings, and does it again during the tragedy that constitutes his part. Either he has no clue about what he's singing, or he knows and doesn't care. He's just standing there singing musical notes. In that performance, one can see that Charlotte does know what she is singing. Leah Barniville, like Charlotte, grasps the whole essence of the aria and throws herself into the role she's singing. She was wonderful!
Absolutely brilliant. Would be great for an Irish person to win BGT. And this one would be so well deserved. She will be up against some great talents but who knows. You go Leah........ I will be rooting for you no matter what. Have fun.
14 years, I missed that in first instance. I saw the little guy and thought.. " aww, he's so emotional and proud of his mother." Coming from another video obviously
Here where the sea shines And the wind is blowing strongly On the old terrace above the bay in Sorrento The man embraces the girl After he cried His voice clears and singing begins again --- I love you so much But so very very much, you know This is already a connection Which dissolves blood in your veins, you know ---- I saw the lights in the middle of the sea I thought of nights there in America But it was only night hunting And the white streak of the boat I felt the pain coming from the music I got up from the piano But when I saw the moon coming out from behind the cloud Even death seemed sweeter to me I looked into the girl's eyes Those eyes green as the sea And suddenly a tear appeared And I believed that I drowned --- I love you so much But so very very much, you know This is already a connection Which dissolves blood in your veins, you know -- The power of poetry Where every drama is a lie Which with a little makeup and facial expressions It can become something else But two eyes that look at each other So close and true Make you forget words The thoughts are mixed up -- In this way everything becomes small Even nights there in America You turn around and see your life As if it were a streak of a ship's screw -- Oh yes, this life is ending But he doesn't think much about it anymore He felt almost happy And again he began his singing -- I love you so much But so very very much, you know ... This is already a connection That dissolves blood in your veins, you know ...
Yes she sang really really good and beautiful!! And i agree with the judges. Just that her "italian is impeccable"; i have to deny... as i didn't know the song well, i didn't immediately recognize she was singing IN italian, thought it would be romanian or anything other Romance or Slavic
Leah has a fascinating, controlled classical style voice that is pleasant to listen to. The only other female singer successfully sing this song on a televised talent show was a Ukrainian X-factor contralto who sang this song an octave lower. It would be spectacular to hear this soprano sing this song with the Ukrainian contralto.
how is she doing this this is amazing better than all the opera singers on agt and bgt this is incredible Italian operas I wish I was as good as her but I'm not my friend is better than me they should've given her there golden buzzer this is insane I think I need a sleeping pill because I thought I was imagining but I'm not I think she needs to go on again

same song that charlotte and jonathan sang in the finals a few years ago.. she did well and needs to work on putting more power behind her voice.. but that will come in time.. she has the looks too.. very marketable later in life.
"Your Italian was impeccable" Come on Amanda, she is an extraordinarily good singer, but only someone who barely speaks any Italian could believe that her pronunciation was flawless.
It wasn't bad, but "impeccable" is quite an exaggeration, and I doubt someone like Amanda would know anyway. Either way, it was an incredible performance though, especially for someone her age!
Hai ragione. Complimenti Leah
Haha Daniel is great crack omg like really! But I feel bad for him as he’s always being told to be more like his sister or “are you Leah barnivilles brother?” But he’s hilarious like hahahaha
Great voice and her musicality was perfect ... but she needs to work slightly more on the pronunciation .. That is a masterpiece of modern Italian music.

She has great control, but her voice has a tight middle range (in terms of opera singing). she completely blew me away .. i m 35 yr old man and i was crying in tears listening .... so stop with the crap about vocal ranges and rihanna bullshit .... its about emotion and beauty that she sang with and it was brilliant
Her Italian is not "impeccable"... I'm Italian and I could barely understand. At first I was wondering what language that was... HOWEVER, who cares! She's an amazing singer!
Little man chewing on his figures. Awwww! Little nervous. She was awesome. He's so proud.
I know. I gathered that was her little brother. The tears of pride in his eyes were just so, so adorable.
Godisgood Allthetime I'm in his class he's so proud of her
AND HE'S RIGHT TO BE PROUD.
I’m not little I’m 12
Thanks babe hit me up x
Absolutely great. Another angel is born..
Don't forget that she's only 14 years old.
Oh dear, there's always one.
She sang it better than many other Italian artists!! Beautiful
I'm Italian and she has a pretty good pronunciation...I could understand everything she said. Amazing voice! :-)
This years talent pool is amazing; it's going to be very difficult to pick a winner!

Yeah very few people admit that. Most say what they know the judges want to hear & that is Yes I can win!
Matt Elliott

The words would break your heart.
WOW! That's all I can say - lost for words. And she lives a half hour away. WOW!👍
Thanks so much
How are you related to Leah? It's good to have you on my channel commenting. Please pass on my best wishes to Leah.

I loved watching your brother, Daniel, watching you! So precious and so proud!

Yeah, he's struggles to stand. Because he's getting old, man :) Wait few more years. Just whatch how he can't focus in that cheap K Mart glasses.
she has a wonderful and soothing voice, and the song she picked is not easy

Here where the sea shines
And the wind is blowing strongly
On the old terrace above the bay in Sorrento
The man embraces the girl
After he cried
His voice clears and singing begins again
---
I love you so much
But so very very much, you know
This is already a connection
Which dissolves blood in your veins, you know
----
I saw the lights in the middle of the sea
I thought of nights there in America
But it was only night hunting
And the white streak of the boat
I felt the pain coming from the music
I got up from the piano
But when I saw the moon coming out from behind the cloud
Even death seemed sweeter to me
I looked into the girl's eyes
Those eyes green as the sea
And suddenly a tear appeared
And I believed that I drowned
---
I love you so much
But so very very much, you know
This is already a connection
Which dissolves blood in your veins, you know
--
The power of poetry
Where every drama is a lie
Which with a little makeup and facial expressions
It can become something else
But two eyes that look at each other
So close and true
Make you forget words
The thoughts are mixed up
--
In this way everything becomes small
Even nights there in America
You turn around and see your life
As if it were a streak of a ship's screw
--
Oh yes, this life is ending
But he doesn't think much about it anymore
He felt almost happy
And again he began his singing
--
I love you so much
But so very very much, you know ...
This is already a connection
That dissolves blood in your veins, you know ...
Brother is moved 🖤👼😢😢

pavarotti caruso for
my love
beautiful girl
WOW
corsica love you
Poi all'improvviso uscì una lacrima
Confondono i pensieri
She's a true Irish woman.

Caruso by Lucio Dalla
She's alright not as powerful as Laura Bretan by any means...
Lara version is crappy compared to this
Huh? Maybe you should proof read before posting.
Anyways your opinion, I have my own. Bye
Laura Bretan power is uncomparable with her...no teenage voice can beat Laura...Leah voice I think on the same level with Jackie Evancho...
why no golden buzzer?
You can only put your hand on the golden buzzer when she's legal mate.
Great voice and her musicality was perfect ... but she needs to work slightly more on the pronunciation .. That is a masterpiece of modern Italian music.
I'm tired of singers in this show...
Why?
Shit on a stick
Yeah bro what’s up with it
She's alright, but just doesn't have the range/power needed for this song. If she picked a narrower song, she would have been better. Definitely a voice that could make it in pop though.
You are talking rubbish. Not much of an idea as to how good she is.
I disagree and felt her voice was powerful. She hit all the notes and prolonged them as required. But more important than this she has great feeling in her voice. Very moving.
She has great control, but her voice has a tight middle range (in terms of opera singing).
