Thanks for the info. My daughter is thinking of transferring from Lamar Univ in Beaumont, TX to TN State. We flew to TN to your before she graduated from HS 2015. The dorms in TX are bomb, and seeing the ones at TN we were not happy. We're thinking of renting an apt for her, what area of town,or surrounding cities will be best? We'd want close, reasonable, but safe of course. Is financial aid in top of their game? Do transfer students get or qualify for scholarships ? How long does it take to get refund deposit? Any info you can give will be appreciated. TN State has always been her #1 choice, I want her to follow her dreams before real life responsibilities fully kick in. Any info will be helpful !! Is it true that you don't get your financial aid packet until July or August??? This makes me nervous

Yea, usually that sent your financial aid rewards letter via your MyTSU email during the summer and your accept or decline whatever loans, grants, & scholarships they have listed for you. Just make sure you have already submitted a FASFA. Hope this helps.
