Maze is loyal, but she expects loyalty in return. Finding out that Lucifer had been concealing knowledge of her mother from her really shook her loyalty to him. And developing human emotions and attachment to humans made her doubt her own nature. She had a rough time of it, but Lucifer also failed to earn her loyalty, so some of it is definitely on him.

When Chloe said "Let's give them something to talk about", I honestly thought she was going to suggest they be caught making out in a corner or something because that woman's face when she said "Oh! Two mommies?" was so obsessive, like she wanted Trixie to come to that school just so that they could have lesbian parents in the community. Like, the parents would spread it round "Look, there are Chloe Decker and Mazikeen Smith. They're both women and they're married. And they are part of our community. See my son? He's in class with this girl, Trixie, and she has TWO MOMMIES."
There were disaproving looks when they thought she was single. Two mom's is much better in their minds than single.

I just love Maze and Chloe,I kinda ship them. Those banters and tension just turn out to be all care and supportive friendship😘.
I think hanging around Lucifer, Linda, Dan, Amenadiel, Chloe, Trixie, Ella, and even doing her bounty hunter gig has gotten Maze to develop a soul, or the start of one. Otherwise it wouldn't have hurt her so much when Amenadiel and Linda became a couple.
That's what I'm saying. She's really developed and despite her many switch ups, Maze has built strong relationships with the rest of characters. I feel like Demons should be just as self-actualizing as Angels. Lilith gave up her immortality to become mortal. It's only right that Maze be able to obtain a soul despite being born a Demon.

Sadly they weren't getting along for a huge chunk of season's 3 and 4, and I don't remember them interacting much in season 4 even after they made up. Maze was to busy with Linda and her baby and with Eve. In the first half or so of season 3 Maze was out bounty hunting. But some scenes from that one Maze-Centric episode would be a good edition to the video.
