Thanks for demonstrating this tool, I hate making loops so for me this is the ideal solution. Your tutorials are excellent and have given me a lot more confidence using polymer clay, thank you, keep up the good work.
I am a sometime jewelry maker, and was not aware of this tool. Saw it on JTV, and fortunately found your excellent video that explained how it worked. Thank you.
Thanks for explaining why wire thinner than 20 gauge doesn't work so well. That's easily something I would struggled with and wondered what I was doing wrong! Also, showing the difference in loops made by the 2 pliers is also very helpful.
After watching your video 2 days ago I ran out to AC Moore with my 50% off coupon and got one of these, and I've been an earring-making fool ever since. I love...love...LOVE it! What an incredible time-saver. Thank you!
Cindy, thanks for all your free videos on UA-cam. I have learnt so much from you! Can you tell me what type of metals you recommend for wires and findings? I want to use something that will really last well, but I think it will be too expensive if I use sterling silver for everything! I hope you can help!
Extremely helpful video, thank you! I was just looking at the looper tool on Amazon and their videos just show a 360 degree spin of the tool and NOT how it works. To spend $20-$25 on one of these I wanted to see if and how it actually worked before buying it. Thanks again!
Thank you for this video I fell in love with this tool when I saw you use it. I was at the craft store the other day and happen to find it and had my 50% coupon on it and am loving it already!! Next to find the big looper!
Great tutorial, thanks for posting. I'm really interested in getting the larger looping tool (my loops are very inconsistant) However... the shipping costs on the tools I've found online are astonomical! Some are double the cost of the tool!
Excellent video and cool tool... I am looking for tools to actually use to bend wire for model railroad work. I scratch build HO scale bridges with measurements based on the prototype railroads (using a scale ruler of 1/87), Can these pliers work with half hard and full hard wire? (20AWG to 24AWG). I am also looking for quality pliers for making 90 degree bends accurately in the same type wires if you have any suggestions. Thanks and again, very well done video. You have to love the right tools for the right job. Philip
I've had the looper for awhile. My problem is for every 1 perfect loop I have 5 that do not work. The looper fails to cut, or the loop doesn't close. I still use it from time to time, but it can be aggravating when it doesn't work.
Thank you for your informative tutorial. As someone who is a complete novice, would you recommend that I start out using rounded pliers? I get the impression that using the looper tool might not create loops which are flush with the beads, unlike if you were doing it manually, or does it really matter? Lastly, which one would you recommend if you were creating chain link rosary beads? Many thanks.
Either tool will work, you just need to practice to get nice tight loops next to the bead. If I were making rosaries, I would use a looper because the links would be very consistent and quicker to make. But having round nose pliers is one of those must have tools if you're making jewelry, so you could start there and see how you like using them and then buy a looper if you think you could do a better/quicker job with it.
Thanks for the great video. I note in your video that all of your pliers are all neat & tidy together. Do you use a specific type of plier holder or is it just a container? Many thanks. Very tidy workspace.
Thousand thanks for this video...at the end you show the Bead with an Roseflower earhook.... may I ask where I can buy these ? Sorry for my very bad english
How does it work if you're making looped connectors like a necklace, i.e. Loop-bead-loop because you'd have to make a loop first and you wouldn't have the bead as stoppage? Hope this makes sense.
It is kinda difficult to do the loop-bead-loop on this tool but it can be done! Mine came with the instructions on how to measure your wire properly. You start with just the piece of wire, make your loop, add the beads, then make the loop on the other end. I hope this helps, I'm usually bad with directions! 😉
Flower GemsGirl and leigh marikian I like to work with really long sections of wire when I make a bunch of links with this tool but it would be too hard to explain in this box. This would make a good video, I'll add it to the list.
Thank you for this video. I'm a beginner to jewelry making so this helps...I'd also like to make my own eye pins but, making a choice on the multi-sized wire loopers can get confusing. Was thinking of starting with the one you had in the video..any suggestion or can of these loopers make eye pins ? Thanks again :-)
Yes you can make eye pins with this tool. You just put a loop at one end and make the other end as long as you want. The best type of wire to useis 20 gauge half hard wire.
This looks REALLY neat!!! I am thinking of just using it to make headpin for polymer charms, would that work? What thickness of wire do you use (not sure if the 20 gauge thing is referring to wire thickness or not . >.< newbie here). Would the 1 step looper work or should I buy the big looper if I want to use it for polymer charms? My charms will be used for necklace since I don't have ear holes >.
I don't know what I am doing wrong. I follow the directions exactly. But my loops do not come out round. They are more teardrop shaped. Can you advise?
That would all depend on a bunch of things... how big the beads are, what I'm attaching the charm to, the size of the wire I'm using, the look I want, etc. That's why I have a couple of sizes of this tool. But if I could only pick one size, I guess I would go with the larger one because you would have more options.
Make sure to push the wire in all the way, when squeezing the handles. Also, since you will have to use pliers to twist the circle open and attach the loop to whatever you're attaching it to, you can push the loop closed as you twist the loop opened and closed.
I have one and I LOVE it!! I'm terrible at making uniform loops and this tool does it same size every time. One of the best purchases I have made!
FlickerFlee - I love mine too!
I just got the 1.5mm today. The 2.25mm will be here tomorrow.
I have both and would recommend larger one. I love this tool but still have to close loop up a little with plier.
Thanks for demonstrating this tool, I hate making loops so for me this is the ideal solution. Your tutorials are excellent and have given me a lot more confidence using polymer clay, thank you, keep up the good work.
Just started designing earrings and had no idea such a tool existed. Wow, can't wait to get one.
I love my one step Looper, I don't know what I would do without it!
Thanks I can't wait to get one. Loops are the hardest to make.
I am a sometime jewelry maker, and was not aware of this tool. Saw it on JTV, and fortunately found your excellent video that explained how it worked. Thank you.
been looking for this 1-step looper. thank you for showing me how to use it.
where has this tool been all my life? I NEED this!

Enjoyed this very much. Have the 1-step and wanted to see the big loops compared in size. Thank you.
I have the original 1-step looper and I LOVE it!! I had no idea they came out with a bigger one!! Thanks for the update!!! Love your videos!!!
Flower GemsGirl thank you :-) and thanks for helping leigh marikian :-) :-)
Great video and thank-you for showing both size tools and explaining wire gauge sizes.
You're welcome! Happy to help! 💖
I just added this to my Christmas wishlist. I need this in my life!
This is amazing! Where's it been all my life?
Great tutorial. Was really clearly explained. I'm going to get myself one. They look so easy to use. Thank you 😄
Very informative, I watched another video and got less information about the tool, I have to get one.
Thank you for saying that!

Thank you so much for this video tutorial. I was trying to decide which one would be better, but now see that both are a must. Thank you again!
Thank you for explains how to use the one step looper I found your demonstration the best

What a wonderful tool to have...thanks so much for sharing and doing the demo!
Dawna Morrell you are very welcome!
Very handy tool, great video thank you.
I have this but didn't know how to use it; I've been using pliers.
Sorda Lety quiero pinza 1, step Looper cuánto cuenta?? Gracias desde Veracruz México
WOW this looks amazing. What is the rack you have in background with your jewelry tools hanging on?
I need to get one of these! Looks like it would save a lot of time!
Thank you for this video I will definitely be buying this tool now!

fantastic tool. love how easy it is to us. thanks for the lesson.
Really liked this video and the 1-Step Looper! How easy can it be? And to think how much time in the past I have spent making these loops! Thank you.
Can the tool still work on hard wire head pins though??
Is it possible to bycass the cutter to just make a loop without cutting any of the wire?
I have one step looper 1.5 mm , is it OK or have I to buy bigger size also.
Excellent video and cool tool...

Which looper would be the best to make rosaries?
como debo hacer para comprar esta step lopper vivo en México ?
Great demo and tools. Thanks.

Hi...what size looper is best suited for making rosaries?
Thanks for sharing Ginger....so useful...I will try to search this tool here in Europe...
From where can I buy the loopers please.

I use a bucket... there is actually a video in my channel that shows you exactly what I use. Check it out, it will help!
Thousand thanks for this video...at the end you show the Bead with an
Roseflower earhook.... may I ask where I can buy these ? Sorry for my
very bad english
This is so great, thank you for sharing.
Would you recommend this cutter looper for memory wire?
No, memory wire is too hard and will break the cutting edge on this tool. You need to use memory wire cutters, and round nosed pliers instead.
Just ordered one I have 12 thumbs ans stubs for fingers lol no I don’t. But still have all kinds of trouble making loops. Hope this helps
I thinking about get one
Thanks very clear video and I am going to use it.
Thank you this video did help me and will save time.

Once you make the loop you need to pull on the tail to bend it at a right angle. Didn't I do that in the video?
Do you have a preference between the sizes for making purse charms?
That would all depend on a bunch of things... how big the beads are, what I'm attaching the charm to, the size of the wire I'm using, the look I want, etc. That's why I have a couple of sizes of this tool. But if I could only pick one size, I guess I would go with the larger one because you would have more options.
I really like my one-step looper:)
tantesherry - me too!
very helpful video
Doesn’t it wastes too much wire?
There’s three sizes. There’s the 3.0, 2.25 (+/-) and the 1.5.
My only wish is that they make a left handed version. I'm a lefty and pliers are right handed.
awesome tool
LrtenaL - yes I agree!
Can u make a necklace using this tool
Yes you can.
I do loved the video cause I learned hoew to use my plier. Yay!!!!!
Thanks! Great review.
How do you get a closed loop?
You can close the loop the same way you close a jump ring. Here is a video that might help: ua-cam.com/video/9GoA-OZjvKc/v-deo.html
Mine doesn't close the loop all the way 😔 Any tips...??
Make sure to push the wire in all the way, when squeezing the handles. Also, since you will have to use pliers to twist the circle open and attach the loop to whatever you're attaching it to, you can push the loop closed as you twist the loop opened and closed.
Where can I buy work tools?
If you are talking about Jewelry Making Tools you can buy them on Amazon: amzn.to/2sAMSJG
cuanto cuesta ?
I want that so baddd
Ouch! I just looked these up on Amazon. They're pricey if you need to get more than 1!
Would be nice if they made a left handed one.
Wire 26 gauge doesnt work this was confirmed to me by Beadsmith and it is on their website and the package.
这个工具的名称?在哪里购买?
It's called a 1-Step Looper and you can buy it on Amazon. amzn.to/3tvZE7U **Affiliate Link
