I wish more people talked about this album. It's so good, yet has been pushed into the footnotes of history.
I bought this album when it came out. (1981) I was 14 years old. Put it on the turntable and it changed my life. You are correct "Mark_Metalbanger" Not a bad song on the record. The thing was that everybody was still so "blown away" from last years "Back In Black" this album was underrated. One of the best albun covers of all time.
Prefer listening to FTATR over BIB. The only thing lacking is a top notch production.
also (in the US anyway) dirty deeds was released at the same time, kinda shitty cause it eclipsed FTATR

For at least the past 5 years I have been trying to spread the word About Ivan without trying to make out like a troll on others AC DC tribute types of bands that brag on how their singer cannot be matched and is Brian Johnson reborn but I kept being polite and ask them to just please give Ivan Gac a view.. just a moment of your time and I promise you will not be disappointed..And I stand by my confession as of today and to add, This house band is a very good compliment to Ivan Gac... Brian Johnson vocal fry on any track from Flick of the switch is very vocally taxing and I believe that's probably where Brian began to decline his screaming powet belts.. something happened during the end of that tour and Brian's vocals became more nasal and higher pitched.. Ivan is blessed to be able to push his vocals and perfect the Early career power belted vocals of Brian when his voice was husky,deeper and exploded with loud power from the diaphragm.. Ivan, please take care of your vocal gift..No other Brian Johnson tribute singer compares to you my friend.. God bless..

Absolutely the tightest band And favorite album too. That was phenomenal. Kyle, great bass! I had my best friend snap this tape in half because I played it so much. He was sick of it. He bought me Fly on the Wall and Flick of the Switch 10 years later to make up for it. God your tight, wow!!!

Love this. One of their most underrated songs, with great lyrics and vocals from Bri.
This album (For Those About to Rock) should have been as big as Back in Black, but earlier in 1981, Atlantic Records finally released the Dirty Deeds album in the US, which became a big hit but damaged the momentum for the new album.
Maybe Kaiser likes it, but I think the lyrics suck shit. Not one of their best for sure. Don't know what Brian was thinking when he wrote this one.
@@davidsmith8997 The lyrics aren't bad at all, they reference the 1934 SA purge in Nazi Germany, and the broader betrayal that inevitably comes with trusting a messianic leader.
@@simonbone It's too political. I like my AC/DC lyrics less serious. I get the gist of what he's trying to say, it's just not a fun song for me. One of the very few clear skips in their catalogue for me.
All that said, I have to say that this is a spot-on cover! So if others enjoy it, I'll let it go and let them enjoy it without making more of a fuss.
