- I gave Bing and ChatGPT $1000 to invest with and in this video i'll explain how we built the trading algorithm and what the returns looked like after 24 hours of live trading. First, a disclaimer - Do NOT invest any money in any type of trading bot or algorithmic engine that you are not willing to lose. I gave this trading bot $1000 because I was willing to lose $1000 to make a great video for my AI Wizards out there. Bing is better than ChatGPT in many ways because it's able to pull real-time data from the Web, whereas ChatGPT was only trained on data up until September 2021. I use both of them multiples times a day for almost everything, cooking tips, therapy, self education, and of course, making money. English is the hottest programming language of 2023, and we all need to learn how to communicate and build trust with these ever more powerful AIs. Thanks ! I know it is an old video and you know how composer has been advanced in the mean while. I did not had to interact much with chatGPT and in composer it self, the AI Model (Beta) already doing a fantastic job of enhancing the logic without explaining much a bout how composer works. Awesome!. Can you make a video about using chat GPT or Bing to write a code and have computer vision / opencv to read certain indicators and trade stocks automatically?
why do you need vision, use api to get the price and calculate the indicators directly.
I also had ChatGPT write me a self optimizing mean reversion algorithm for eur/usd for MetaTrader 5. It made 3.2% profit last week. :)

Hi, I think you just improved past from now, the logic is good but you have to deal it real time to still have the benefits or futur will change your plans the same way as it did initialy. It’s like the movie Back to the futur you have to think in three dimenssions Marty ! 😅

This is the problem with backtests, even with chatgpt or bing, which in this video comes out very clearly.
Chatgpt had data till 2021 and due to this the created strategy built upto 2021 didn't perform in future of 2022 and 2023, but on the other hand bing predicted best as it had data for 2023, so these strategies provides best results in backtesting but future is entirely unpredictable and there is literally no certainty with these backtests.
Actually both the ChatGPT and Bing “improved” strategy perform way worse in back test than the original top strategy on Composer he started with. AR down from 22% to 13%, sharpe ratio down, max drawdown increased. He only compares it to the SPY500 ETF so it seems there is an improvement. It’s not a losing strategy, at least over the past years, but there certainly are (way) better ones.
Is there absolute certainty beyond death and taxes? I would like to see more understanding of what percentage means translated into reality. Also it may be that old data is no longer relevant since the strength of teams in sport is mostly dependant on recent data. When a talented player is sold that teams likelihood of performing as well in the future surely must go down, but by how much?

The post September 21 prompt was... underwhelming. Generic ETF selections based on keywords extracted from personal bias. You could have said to an advisor, a website, or yourself "worried about China, think white collar jobs are going, blue collar jobs threatened by robots" and made the same selections. The interesting selection was the communications ETF... because that was the only answer available to your "paralegal" input. I'm guessing there aren't many exchange-listed law firms.
And the fact your mention of China meant there was no consideration of GBP, EU, BTC or even Au is a striking example of the limitations this faces... give it an input and it runs with it. It has to. So its investment knowledge is prompt-limited.
