Can I just say how much I appreciate the effort you put in your videos? Like, putting up a cover of a book you're talking about (1), keeping the date of the release on the screen (2), posting the list of all the books mentioned (3) in the caption, adding chapters (4), posting links to videos about other books you've mentioned (5)... Thank you so much for this!!! And also thank you for the recommendations! You talk about books from such different genres with such excitement that it becomes contagious, I've sure added a book or two (or three, or six) to my TBR!
Looking forward to July releases: “Women in the Valley of the Kings-The Untold Story of Women Egyptologists in the Gilded Age” by Kathleen Sheppard & “Loving Sylvia Plath- A Reclamation” by Emily Van Duyne.
Exciting books!! Oh, I was at an event this week (in Montreal) and Heather O'Neill was there and I was fan-girling over seeing her and luckily had the chance to speak with her and let her know how much I love her books. Thought you'd appreciate hearing that since I know you're a fan of hers as well. :)
I have just watched your Secret History-esque video. Thank you so much for adding the link!!! I missed it the first time, but I’ve been on a hunt for new DA release information and now I have so many books added to my list. I start reading these types of books in August because fall just isn’t long enough to read all the books I want to. 😊 have a great week💕
The plot of 'The Snap' intrigues me; I'll definitely give it a try. 'Meet the Neighbors' sounds right up my alley so I'm adding it to my tbr too. I'm also looking forward to Richard Osman's 'We Solve Murders' coming out on September 12 and 'The Life Impossible' by Matt Haig coming out September 3.
I’ve an odd request Olive. Can you recommend a book for a friend whose main interests are economics & medicine. They are currently ill and I want to send them a book.
Have you heard of Queen of the Negro Leagues: Effa Manley and the Newark Eagles by James Overmyer? You might like it. It's about a woman who owned a black baseball team before integration.
As a bookseller, I am most excited about The Bookshop by Evan Friss!! 📚 Also, We'll Prescribe You a Cat by Syou Ishida, because it sounds similar to how I ended up adopting my dog. 🐕
I am now looking forward to We Prescribe You a Cat and The Cottage Around the Corner. I hadn't heard of either of them previously. Also looking forward to Graveyard Shift.
A good enemies to lovers sports romance you might enjoy is Kulti by Mariana Zapata. The sport is soccer. The heroine is a U.S. player and the hero is a coach brought in from Europe who was a former superstar German player. They do not hit it off. Also, since you like basketball, you might try Kennedy Ryan's earlier work which focuses on the basketball world, but not the women players: Long shot , Block shot, and Hook shot.

Damn Women in the Valley of the Kinga sounds like a blast! As a rabid Amelia Peabody fan I will be all over that one.

OMG Lucy Knisley has a book coming out?!?!? THANK YOU, I was so out of the loop on this one and I love her!
Here's to a great reading summer. Best wishes.
I didn’t know JoJo was going to be releasing a memoir! Will definitely have to add to my TBR, as well as the 2 cat books :)
Love how your books are super unique not same as everyone else!

Kate Atkinson has a new *Jackson Brodie" novel coming out this fall-exciting news!
And So I Roar- Abi Daré (sequel to The Girl With the Louding Voice) comes out August 6th and I’ve already pre-ordered it!
Thanks for this list! I added a few books to my TBR that I had not heard of yet!
Thanks for posting this. I added a good number of these to my list.
I remember reading Lucy Knisley's comics on Twitter! Loved them. Glad to know she's publishing a collection.
Thank you Olive!

That last one, The Graveyard Shift got my attention. I loved If We Were Villains.
The Cottage around the Corner sounds really cute and perfect fall read.
Have you heard of Queen of the Negro Leagues: Effa Manley and the Newark Eagles by James Overmyer? You might like it. It's about a woman who owned a black baseball team before integration.
Sounds great. I have added it to my tbr list. Thank you for recommending.
I had no idea Kelly Bishop was coming out with a memoir! This is very exciting news. :D
The Cottage Around the Corner sounds fun and I have added it to my wishlist.
Such a good list!! Infinite Life definitely intrigues me, as does All That Glitters (art + fraud is always an entertaining combo)
You had me at Gilmore Girls! 🙂 Have you read any Louise Penny? Very talented Canadian author. 💜
Excellent list as always! I’m looking forward to Bad Tourists, You Will Never Be Me and Colored Television.

I love you voice and your voice is heart touching
I love you everytime
If you like books about books I recommend "When Books Went to War" by by Molly Manning. Even people who are not into WW II history appreciate it.
You may be interested in a book that came out in January: Radical Adaptation: Transforming Cities for a Climate Changed World by Brian Stone Jr.
