That’s awesome ! Something I didn’t mention is a non “smart” watch. So just a normal watch would be a good edition to your packing list. You’ll do great! It’s really not that scary, just listen and do what you’re told and everything will go smooth. Good luck !

I don’t see why you wouldn’t be able to bring ear plugs, but I haven’t heard of anyone bringing them. I remember some girls in my flight had moleskin , but they might have bought it while we were there. You will sleep in your PT clothes so you’re not allowed to wear your own clothes to sleep. And no! There’s new hair regulations so if your hair is short enough you can wear a ponytail or a braid(s) !! Thank you !!
@@Angela-lh3de I honestly loved my time at Sheppard, every training base is just what you make of it, surround yourself with good people and you will always find something to do. 👍🏼
@@Angela-lh3de not while I was at Bmt, that’s something that gets looked at before, dental procedures don’t usually get done while in any form of training but if it’s an emergency I know they’ll do it. A friend of mine had his wisdom teeth removed at tech school.
When I got to basic they threw away my bandaids for whatever reason 🤷🏼♀️ you can bring the watch, AirPods and charger to have after you graduate ! They will just be locked up with your civilian stuff ! 👍🏼
I’m so bad a push ups. My chest doesn’t the floor is that normal. How strict was PT with the push ups? I want to enlist ASAP but I’m worried about my push ups
When you are doing push-ups you just need to make sure your elbows break 90 degrees. Take a look at the pt standards and how many you can do, then I suggest just practicing. You will practice a lot at BMT but you want a good foundation.
Hey. Would you recommend just getting items that’ll last for about 2-3 weeks because they’ll issue us the essentials anyway? Like so far, I literally have a 7 1/2 weeks supply of my soap, toothpaste, mouthwash, shampoo/conditioner, all that. I don’t mind using the soap and stuff they provide, but I need my own preferred face cream and hair care. I’ll take everything back if it’s not needed.
Hello ! You can bring them and store them with you, the issue would be getting them through security at the airport. If you plan on checking in your bag you should be fine, however you can’t bring full size items in carry on luggage

They do not. They suggest you bring clothes incase you are quarantined due to covid.
Did you bring a towel or shower slides?
They issue you towels and flip flops to wear in the shower !
