Thank God and thank you Bishop Martin Anwel for speaking up.I have found solace in your homily/reflection because I was hurt, scandalized and confused by this declaration. Thank you Bishop being faithful to God and clearly stating your views as well as upholding our scriptures and catholic traditions. Yes, let's all keep on praying that God will truly enlighten all church leaders and the whole flock.
The heros of the faith in Africa....
The Catholic church was growing very rapidly in Africa. Pope Francis HAD to do something to stop that.

He makes several excellent points. I hope and pray that our next Pope takes this document and corrects it so that it reflects that we should love our homosexual brothers and sisters but understand that they are living a life of sin.

Can this good bishop come to the US? He is the first one I heard that addresses those who are so scandalized that they are threatening leaving the Church. I was one of those thinking I might have to leave. His words strengthen my faith and resolve to be a better Catholic. I will just pray harder that Jesus will help us in these trying times.

Faithful Catholics in US dioceses are scandalized with those "blessings " as should be Catholics throughout the world. Thank you for speaking the truth to your flock and those throughout the world.
I spent four months working in his diocese two years ago. He is a very solid bishop who has encouraged his seminarians to learn the Latin Mass.
