I love that you share about your anxiety. I have the same type of anxiety that is aggrivated by my normal routine being shifted. Thanks for sharing that part of yourself
Oh. My. Goodness. Thank you for this video. I have never struggled so much in my life!! Last week kicked my behind too!! So much that I had to fish out my light therapy lamp and get B12 shot. The fatigue, mental and physical exhaustion, and severe brain fog. I don’t know what I have accomplished as a teacher. Nothing is easy this year. Nothing! Sending you wishes for a better week ahead! ❤️
I teach 5th grade and we also teach family life. We don’t split by gender for anything (we also only have female teachers). But I think it’s so important for everyone to know changes everyone is going through!
my son and daughter are ten, and we’ve just started having these talks as a family, using some books we found on amazon. the twins were cool with us reading certain chapters together, and they both have great questions. sometimes she has a “boy” question and vice-versa. there are a couple of chapters for which they’ve asked us to read separately, son with dad and daughter with mom.
That is good to know. We talked about setting aside time for the genders to be separated if necessary, or touch base with a same gendered teacher if they feel like they need that to ask a question or get some clarification.
I went to high school but it was 8th - 12th. 8th grade health class was part of PE and our teacher was a male. He was also the head football coach. I don't remember it being a big deal, with boys in the class and it being taught by a man. And you're right, we all need to know.
I woke up early and decided to watch you before going to church. As always, it was a nice treat to see you in the classroom and at home. Have a great week!
It's funny I was actually thinking to ask you where Liza was and you got that phone call and said it was her. Glad you two's friendship is still going strong. On another note...pray through the stress. I think it's just the time of year that we're all going through something.
I support you on the "family life" situation. Here the biology teachers take care of the subject and in a mixed form as well. But as a language teacher I find it important to show students examples in books they can lean to when they are feeling troubled or even just to broaden their minds in understanding that nobody has to be the exact same. It's okay to be different because in the strict definition of it you aren't, you're just an individual with your own decisions. 💜
Thanks for the video! Love watching you each week. I have a dumb UA-cam question! Does it support you if I watch the ads on your videos? I always just skip them because they are annoying but I’d gladly let them play if you got more support from it!
My youngest hates the Santa Ana winds. When she was little, she was always afraid that they would blow her away. I thought it was funny but she was tiny so I understood her concern.
I've been struggling so much since January started. I'm still not sure why. I just feel...overwhelmed and I'm not sure why. I took sex ed in 9th grade, not middle school. It was integrated and just a class everyone was required to take for half a semester.
I do miss it, but I think elementary is more stressful than middle school. I am pretty sure I'll be in middle school for a while and move to high school some day.
Wow! First, let me say that I am the parent of a son and a daughter and that my husband teaches science. He teaches sex ed to both males and females in the same room! We work in different districts but as a "new" science teacher, I will be teaching males and females together! Keep fighting the good fight. ❤
Isn't it lovely how school districts want interim assessments to be given and yet they want teachers to follow the pacing guides? What happened to allowing teachers to get through their lessons without interruptions? February is always a short and hectic month. Take care.

If my routines are off, I just feel off. I think it is a blessing and a curse sometimes.

Excellent point of view on the “family life” situation. Totally agree! Have a nice week.
Sending a shoulder to lean on when it feels a little too much. Tough week over here to. We can do it!
Thank you!

Yes, allowing the ads to play helps me it adds to the revenue I am able to earn off of a video.

Sometimes it feels like it is going to blow me away.

It's not her birthday, she was visiting because it was one of her friends birthday.

Do you miss elementary? Probably a lot less stressful than middle. Are you thinking about going back or moving on to high school?

There seems to be a big disconnect this year when it come to teachers and the leaders in the district.
Fingers crossed your student loans are forgiven!
Fingers and toes!
