Daniel Hitch I don’t think it was designed like that. Originally, Warframes were made for the Tenno to channel their unstable abilities. The Warframe is literally just an empty shell for the tenno to master their abilities.

Warframe cosplay is hard because you either can’t see and or the head is comically big
It's even worse because warframes don't have helmets. Those are their actual heads, making it more difficult for you to either breathe or see in the cosplay
@@blackcaduto2768 i can only imagine the sunder helmet variant. Probably can make it the size of a normal head if they use silicone to hide the seperation between helm and face. Able to see cause you have a single eye to look around.

I'm going to write few lines as an Architect about this subject.
When skills of modeling and 700 hours of work are applied you get exact descriptions of a subject. The care for detail, assembly and the intention to keep the proportions intact where carried to precision.
This is your portfolio for the entrance of cinematographic armor design. This type of skill belongs to a caliber of professionalism. This is not fan material or any other hobby. This is a classical professional work.
About the object.
The Excalibur Umbra is by far the hardest armor to design. On the same note the Javalins are the other designs that deserves a construction, however EA and BioWare doesn't deserve your professional skills. Their game will not live up to the expectations. Digital Extremes will be glad to place this work in their main page.
As a warframe Player (400+ Hours) i wouldn't say it's the hardest armor to design but Chroma Prime or Loki Prime have much more body details and i would say that its almost impossible to recreate them but the looks if Umbra and the Skiajati are absolutely fabulous.

The sword predated anything in the foundry arsenal and codex so I think it's made of orokin cells and morphics some forma and umral forma

Luca Nagato Simone have you seen the stalker and mag cosplay at the tennocon cosplay contest? The helmets were perfect on those
@@JaeTeezy1 those are completely different tho.. the stalker one is made of silicon, it doesn't have any rigid part so it's easier to shape and adapt it to the head of the wearer. The mag one on the other hand, the main part of that one is the plastic (I gues it's some sort of plastic) screen on the front, so while being rigid it doesn't need to be too big.
All considerations apart, I am pretty sure that they thought it out thoroughly before actually working on it, there must be a practical reason behind the width of the helmet.

ive played for ~250 hrs and ive completed all the quests except for the titania one... cause fuck the nightfall apothic

oops i counted it wrong, thats the total time ive spent ingame, but ive only spent about 72 hrs actually playing... so yeah you can beat all the quests in only 70 hrs of actually playing

A way to make the head seem proportionate you have to bulk out the armour plates and make the silicon layer 1cm thick instead of 0.75cm

gameplay wise it would only be at least 6-10 hours, but to make the suit for 700 hours makes sense because umbra has it's own mind, and is made of a lot of materials. Really high tech XD

Not really. Warframes consist of both a bioengineered body AND a suit of armor layered over. It's in the lore, the Orokin found unarmored warframes too damn ugly to have them parading around. That's why, for example, when Umbra's helmet was damaged you could see a part of his head, not his skull or brain.

To the people saying the head is too big because it needs to fit somehow, it is possible to build a proportionate head to the game and fit a human head inside.
The helmet would need to be built in multiple parts which would work with umbra since the head has a massive split from the bottom of the jaw all the way to the top of the parietal bone (top back area of the skull). Building it in a similar fashion to an iron man helmet minus the mechanical retracting face would fix the problem of noggle head.

BlazeShadowRider There isn't really a definitive answer to that. the easiest way is to contact a maker through something like the replica prop forum or the 405th, which I think both have Facebook pages. you could put out a post that just says what you are wanting and someone will most likely contact you. this is not cheap though. Expect to pay around 300 dollars for something on the low end(such as foam), and around 1500 to 2000 USD for something on the high end(maybe plastic armor or a high quality foam build). Or you could do the research and build your own with foam for around 100.
