I remember some years ago, before child entered my life, my wife and I would go in late January during the weekdays, all schools were back in session and the parks were super chill and you could realistically get a park hopper and do both parks in a single day if you wanted to rush things or just enjoy a couple days. The longest anything would be is a 30 minute wait, and those were during noon-afternoon times rides like Indiana Jones, Radiator Springs, Toy Story and of course... Peter Pan (that line is never short). And while that same late January weekday isn't quite as crowded as a day like you saw today it still has considerably more people, and that accursed thing called Lightning Lane makes even a relatively quiet day absolutely unbearable with wait times. It's gotten to the point where I don't even want to go back, and this isn't Disney pricing me out either, it's just DIsney trying to make your experience horrible.
I remember those days too…………those days in January don’t exist anymore!! 🤷🏼♂️🤔👎🏻
@@eddieg6436 Honestly do not understand why. Was the economy just down in the dumps back then and people couldn't afford to go to amusement parks? Are people trying to make up for all the missed time due to covid? Kids are still in school, people still gotta work, hell it's even more unaffordable than what it used to be, just don't get why everyone goes now of all times.
I mean I kind of know part of the answer, maybe not related to January, but Disney having all sorts of special events, and times doesn't help matters.

They should limit attendance every day! Make it a reservation system.
Glad you where able to film within Disneyland, The media is already sparking banning the use of filming inside the theme park to anyone with mostly nearby rides
I chatted with a cast member about the security update - apparently it stemmed from a few grad nights last week in which guests snuck some illicit items into the park via their hats & beanies. Apparently, there’s no rush to update these new security protocols 🤦🏽♀️ But great vlog, Dylan! Can’t wait for Fantasmic on Friday 😊
I’m looking forward to crossing a Downtown Disney type bridge from Critter Country to an eventual Frozen land!

Hi Dylan. We have to agree that the security area is just a bit overkill ! We appreciate Disney wanting to make she people are safe, but, their ideas definitely DO need some updating. Now that summer visitors are arriving the time gets worse for standing in line for bag check.

That’s funny that you were at both Knott’s and Disneyland on the same day as my husband and me did the exact same thing this week. On Tuesday. We even spent a lot of time in that same area in front of Toontown station…lol. Didn’t get on much as it was very crowded as you said, plus Runaway Railway kept breaking down over and over again on us. It had a very bad day that day. That was really frustrating.
As for security…yeah it can take a long time but on the bright side, we used to have to wait in line twice..once for the tram, then later again for security near the esplanade. Added together it’s probably about the same amount of time now as before considering the trams seem to be a walk-on as security is now a bottleneck.
Aw man, I'm leaving Disneyland now... headed back to San Jose soon. Would love to have met you!

We live in S Carolina. If we hadn’t found your channel and best Life and fresh baked we never would have come to DL. We wound up falling in love with DL in 2019 in 2022 became magic key holders for 1 year. We would do DL over wdw anyday even having to fly out there .
the idea of them having closed fantasmic and then just sticking it into “B mode” while also taking out pirates is sooooo wild to me-disneyland has really been dropping the ball lately
I’m glad they are bringing back pan, but yeah I would have tried to come up with something a little more spectacular for the battle scene.

2:43 Wait a minute, does that map actually show the location of the trains? If so, man talk about not knowing. And do they have similar maps at other stations to let you know?
We rode the train today and they still have to stop in New Orleans Station to blow off steam, refill water etc. The conductor told us numerous times that there would be no passenger stop, but that they may have to stop for steam engine stuff. Today it was blowing off steam.
Man I hope it’s not an STK.. that place is subpar, and overpriced. Downtown Disney needs a Polite Pig, Chicken Guy!, and HomeComin’. Then it would be perfection.
Disney trying to make money at your expense, no call for this many people being let in the Park...
