A Day Trip to Oxford, Mississippi (with my grandchild)

Come on a road trip with my granddaughter and me to Oxford, Mississippi, and home to Ole Miss. Our first stop when visiting is Big Bad Breakfast, where the homemade biscuits are supreme. Try one with sausage gravy and another with tomato gravy, a Southern delight.
Next, head for The Square, your address for enjoying high-end shopping in the charming boutiques. Apparel, Ole Miss signature clothing, gifts, jewelry, house decor…you’ll find it all right around the Lafayette County Courthouse. Don’t miss Square Books, easily one of the nation’s best independent bookstores.
During the Christmas holiday, the little ones will adore the Gnome Homes found all on the ground all around town, namely by business entrances. Stop by South Depot or Opa! for an afternoon pick-me-up.
You’ll definitely want to ride through the University of Mississippi’s pristine campus and then tour William Faulkner’s home, Rowan Oak.
