    I never learned this way, but it makes everything so clear. I think that I can even see a direct connection between the idea of a "quadrilateral" and a number being squared. I am now amazed and angry that I wasn't taught this way, but I feel motivated to make sure others learn better than I did.

    Not trying to be mean(really not!) but what grade is it?In Hong Kong, we learnt it in grade 6 or grade 7 but the students in the video look much more senior than grade 7. Really want to compare the syllabus/

      In Hong Kong, you have the LEAST classroom interruptions which delay students' learning process. No interruptions mean you can assimilate learning subjects in large chunks in any stretch of time. In USA and parts of Europe, there are rampant interruptions in classrooms. Interruptors are mostly social misfits who give troubles to teachers and pull other students down with them. With them around, you only get few hours worth of learning in a day.

      Imo, it mostly doesn't matter when you learn it...math is math...it is the same. From elementary to university and lastly these kids do not look more "senior" than grade 6 or 7 ffs

      It’s learnt in Year 8 or 9 in Australia, the standard is a little worse than in Asian countries

    I wish I had access to the internet back then when I was in school. I would have been bullied less by my maths teachers who always thought they were superior bullying a kid trying to learn at school.

    A builder is tiling a new bathroom and requires 30 tiles which are of length z and height y. Find an equation that would show the area of the tiled parts of the bathroom in terms of x and y.
    (Can someone help me with this please)

      @PhantomFox77 2 роки тому

      It's been a year, so you've probably already figured it out or otherwise learned it, but just in case...
      Each tile is a rectangle X long and y high. So the area of one tile is length times width, so just xy. Now, unlike this video, we don't know how the tiles are arranged. But we don't need to since we're told he needs all 30 and no bits are unused. So 30 tiles each of area xy adds up to be 30xy.

    Please prove (v-u)(v+u) is smaller than v2

    • @kreedzee
      @kreedzee 5 років тому

      Pahul Arora (v-u)(v+u) = v2 - u2. Even if u is negative, it gets squared so it becomes positive, and you have to subtract something from v2, so it gets smaller than just v2. But! If u is 0, then in this scenario (v-u)(v+u) = (v-0)(v+0) = (v)(v) = v2 and it means that not in all cases (v-u)(v+u) is smaller than v2.
