At any rate, if Meghan did have a college major or minor in international relations, I honestly don’t believe she learned very much about cultural differences if Northwestern offered such a course or included a study of cultural differences in a particular class. I know three decades before Meghan was in college, a speech class required for my English major ar my own Midwestern university, we read a book on “culture shock” about how various societies differ in social interactions. This would have been helpful when Meghan moved to the U.K., assuming she would have been willing to do so. And how could she have lived in Canada for seven years and have not known the British national anthem? Since Canada is part of the Commonwealth, Canadians often sing both God Save the King/Queen as well as Oh, Canada.
