Honestly the following season looks never hit as hard as this one's. They made a bad decision with putting her in these way too preppy and bright outfits. Yeah, she also had brighter outfits in season 1, but they were so much more put together and actually matched her, i feel like from season 2 they just started dressing like a doll/child. I read this and it basiclally sums it up: "I can’t get over how pretty Blair looked in S1. I mean, she’s always gorgeous, but the hair & make-up department really did the character justice in the earlier seasons. Although I’m a big fan of her style in S2-3 too, there’s something really charming about S1. I really like the darker hair, and their volume [..] The make-up was great too, subtle with a touch of visible gloss to make it more youthful and show her mischievous style. I appreciated how they chose colors that suited Leighton’s face instead of bold colors that made her look like a grandma (red lipstick, over the top eye-shadow/blush in «cold» colors…) As for her clothes, it’s interesting how she tended to wear mostly neutral or darker colors, which made her look more in control and regal, and also showed how closed-off she was as a person. I’ve seen people say that she wore brighter colors in S2 and later seasons to try to «open-up» more to the world and I really like this interpretation ! I also noticed that she didn't wear many floral dresses, whereas it kind of became her trademark in the later seasons lol. I’m guilty of loving floral dresses a lot too but S1 Blair seemed to put more effort into her choice of clothes."
This Blair, this season 1 Blair is who I believe can go through storm with Chuck Bass. She is strong, cold, set her eyes on her goal. She still my fave even tho she became a high pitch too feminime girl, but this Blair will always be superior to me.
Her mom was different in the first episode?!💀 but Elenor Waldorf, the actual one like in all seasons whoever casted her after ep 1 my goodness what a great job she actually looks like Blair’s mom
