In general Rank 0-8000 is possible in less than 3years by just using 3 methods (piracy method,wr laps, peyote plants) without playing a lot. Takes less than 7h to get 2million rp with piracy and plants, wr laps 2million per h depending on the community job. 6-7h per day would be over 2b in 3 years.

Yes I remember that. I have had a few friends over the years who hit lvl 1000 legit. And even more who are extremely close like lvl 800 or something. But that came with hours upon hours of nonstop grinding and it’s the only game they play. Literally since day 1
I remember a time within the last couple years where modders were able to corrupt accounts, put players in perma-bad sport lobbies, and give excessive rank like this.. they were setting people's accounts to 8000 so I made sure to not log into public servers during this period.. I dodged the bullet but often encounter players that were victims of this.. meaning they have rank 8000 due to someone else modding.. but they themselves are playing fairly and legitimately (at least at the time).. so you can never take the rank as definitive proof.. IMO, the KTD ratio does a better job representing whether you want to play with someone or not than their rank does..
That's a really good point I'd forgotten. It was late 2023 I think and PC lobbies were unusable because of some new mod menus, on top of the ongoing money and RP drops. So yeah, there will be people out there with level 8000 stats who didn't even want them. I agree on KD to a point, but I know regular death match players who have high KD but are totally chill in a public session. Maybe separating lobby KD from competitive KD could work, I suppose that's what mental state does to a degree. Getting complicated now though. 😎 Thanks, P
I'm a legit rank 811, and absolutely LOVE going up against players who show up with rank 8000 modded accounts. I go after them specifically. They think they're hot shit but they're basically useless because they obviously haven't put in the time necessary to acquire the proper skills needed to play GTA Online properly. They usually leave after getting their ass kicked for 10 minutes straight.
I'm about lvl 32x and I respect the ppl bettwen lvl 1 and 500 and really good respect for ppl with 500~900 but usually I have ZERO respect for ppl abobe 1,000 and I just start messing with them to prove that they are cheating. and it's true 99.9% of the cases
Idk how you would feel about me but years ago i was given a modded account. Once i logged in i bought a yacht and chilled there, but after receiving annoying messages from a group of players it made me not want to play online. I can understand what i was doing is frowned upon but goddam some GTA players can be toxic.
I'm a level 1,506 legit and it's taken me about 5 years to get to this point, the best ways of leveling up for me have been the special cargo business and from playing the double money weekly events but when have been activated the peyote plants well might as well start collecting them plants
I have been playing for about 9 1/2 years. I am level 1189. People have to remember that when I was getting all that RP early in the game it was missions and racing and heists. Those events have significantly more RP then just about anything the "modern" modes are giving out. Also, if you are a person that just hangs out in a lobby all day killing people and whatnot, you are not making any RP.
Sometimes, I go into a session with the intent of killing players. But I don't just kill any old player. I like to go after the players of a higher rank than me. I go after the cheaters, griefers, and modders. I go after bounties or players who's radar blip is red. I do not go after players who are on money runs. I often wonder why they don't do their money runs in a private session. The bonus isn't worth the risk in a public lobby.
Since the laser got nerfed I do bunker, nightclub and acid sales in public. As you can mostly defend yourself or escape, the laser used to be a problem but the range is so low that most griefy types just can't hit you any more. Nightclub is definitely worth it, I usually make 1.8m per sale and they take a few minutes.

@DavidMagicalNangle I suffer from an abundance of pragmatism. As I don't have to work for nightclub stock I'm happier to risk it. Also, the sale truck can take a good few hits, so you have enough time to get out and defend, or worst case, switch sessions. But doing it in public means my average nightclub sale is 1.8M, not bad for 5 minutes effort (and a healthy dose of panic). Thanks for watching 👍👍
I’ve been playing consistently since day one, I have around 9,100 hours of playtime, my first character is 1139 and the second is 874, I’ve earned around 2.2 billion, all legit from grinding missions, heists, and cargo.
Really impressive I wish you the best of luck for future gaming I'm level 772 and I've been playing for the last 5 years on and off and I have half a billion because I was grinding and aiming to hit the billion mark before GTA 6
@CKK322 exactly. It's funny there's so many people who claim to be a legit lvl 8000 when it would take around 115,000 hours of INGAME time if you fully focused on leveling.
I've been playing for between a year and a half to two years and I'm level 280. I can't really tell what my level would be because I get bombed with the xp modders dropping collectibles on lobbies. I'd say without the boost, I'd be about 140. I don't play GTA all the time. I bounce between games so 140 in two years, being a grinder, sounds about right.
Ah, the joys of PC. It looks like manual aim with the mouse would be a great way to play, but with the number of modders around, it's not worth the switch.
My level is 859 and I been playing (with some small breaks) since 2016. I have NEVER done a glitch or anything to get an advantage. Keep posting this good content 👍
I’m a lvl 651 but everyone else in my crew are 1000+ . We usually chase mods outta our lobby. We all have over 500 million so even our lower level members go into the Facility and bomb them. In total it’s 16 of us and we grind in our lobby !
I'm at 424. I've been playing since day 1. The only reason I'm not 800 or 900 is because I've had some console trouble with the 4 and had some gaps where I just couldn't play. I went from 200 something to my rank now in about a few months of solid play. Ranking up isn't necessarily hard. Finding the time for the grind is.
I've play this game since the online release, in my country. I recently reach the level 800.... I'm level 811. It took me 9 years to get that level. Since 2013(PS3), I've seen people with +8000 level accounts & it's totally hillarious and ridiculous. Specially with the 1Billion K/D. Great Video, man.
Got a group of friends who are serious grinders, they’ve got lvl1200-1500. And they are legit (needless to say, they’ve played for a number of years). But in the main, I agree with your analysis.
Yeah, there seem to be a few more that I thought at 1200+. I think I'll be happy if I get to 500 before gta 6, though I suspect it will be delayed for long enough to hit 600! I'm not really a grinder though. I run my businesses to buy cars and do heists with low levels. Keeps me out of trouble.
@perengerin why would you think being suspicious of anyone being above the level 1,500, I have several friends who are probably like a level 2k, because these friends have been a higher level than me for years
@@En3rgyMast3r Just on averages, nothing more. I'm sure your friends have earned it and I imagine they are pretty damn good at the game. But for every legit level 2000 like your friends, there will be many more glitched or modded accounts. As I say in the video, how people act is a good indicator.
I'm a pretty active player on GTa I've been playing since day 1. 10 years I'm a level 1200 RP. Earned. If you add my girl character at 300rp.... 1500rp is the total
I've been playing since day one. Before January 2017 when I stopped playing, I was around rank 220. Between 2018 and 2020, I was playing here and there and I got up to 270. Between June 2023 to now after getting a PS5, I play multiple days a week and I'm currently 370. I did grind out my businesses as well as partaking 2x-4x GTA$ and RP jobs.

Been a casual GTA player since 2020 and I’m lvl 300. Felt like winning a championship when I finally hit it. My second account is a lvl 96, so I could be 400 if I stuck to my first character

I started playing when Epic had GTA for free. So only a couple years now. It wasn't too long after I started, I ended up in a lobby with a level 1200 and something. Super nice guy. Told me he had been playing since day one.
I think I bought the game within the first year of release, back when everyone got on high alert if you were driving an insurgent 😂 I’m only rank 276, but I literally spent the first couple years just fucking around with no goals, no aim at all. I go months without playing at times, though I still love the game. I’ve never looked to be too rank or go tearing through a lobby without taking a single hit. It’s hilarious how seriously some of these punks take it for a video game, it’s pretty clear there’s an assload of permanent joblessness and entitlement out there

2013 account is level 1,145. About 10K hours in GTAV. I have a couple accounts also. But my main has just shy of 1 year online IN-GAME. 363 days to be exact. I've seen 1 yt'er over level 3000 and I cant remember his name but he streamed daily rp grinds. And it's been awhile he could be in 4,000's if he kept going. But 2015 to 2019 were some of the best years grinding GTA I became more of a casual by the time Cayo dropped. I'd have killed for Cayo back in the day. Good times.
Lvl 465 here. Ive had the same account and character for the entire existence of GTA online. OG shirt and 10yr party hat to prove it. I have been a working adult for that entire time but regularly play a few hours per week. I am level 465.
Level 8000's are always a purchased modded account. They're around 300.00 I think. I always report them as it insults us who play legitimately. The k/d ratio is a dead give away too.
I've been playing since GTAonline opened, Oct '13. After the first money drop hack apocalypse I started other characters. I've been in GTAo for 11 years now. I used to work and live at home playing a lot in the first handful of years, less so for some, and now I work full time and don't rank up very often any more. My 5 characters are about 750, 590, 260, 180, 120. I appreciate your breakdown of the long burning single rank, I don't think there's any that both are high rank, and didn't glitch, or didn't get caught in exploits and banned. No one has the perserverence to continue to grind "rooftop rumble" (dumb example I know, it's for the sake of citing "grinding for rank only") continuously for 11+ years. I do know some friends after they got swept up in some dupe glitch problems or whatever, did re-grind their way back up to 1000+ but still, IMO, that's lame and just grinding for grinding sake, not really enjoying the gameplay range.
It's crazy that the max rank in GTA Online goes up to 8000 with GTA V not even being anywhere near old enough to reach it legit. Though i guess they made it this high to keep you playing because going up a rank, even if you unlocked everything, is still somewhat nice.
Been playing since the PC release in 2015, currently at about 700 and something. Haven't been playing much as of late. My play time just deteriorated as the years gone by
One of my buddies would reset his character every 2 months or so. By the end of the month he'd be rank 1.5k and above on PS4. Always doubted his rank until he was banned off of Sony and he refused to elaborate. Came back the following year to do the same thing and brag about how he was so goated. Ironically he never revealed what he did and said "if you were good you'd know what it was"
Got to level 1000 within 3 months of the game getting released(with mods)Fair enough i have got everything modded cars,planes,bandito etc. Im currently at 1372 as of now with 325m only glitches i do are give cars to friends(saves you money and doesnt get you banned) and sometimes merge glitches.
I'm level 1430 legit, playing since it came out on PC, but sometimes there are idiots who think i'm modding, they start to harass me on chat or simply kick me just for my level or when i'm destroying them on races/deathmatches. It's understandable because PC is flooded with cheaters, but frustrating at same time for me who plays clean.
Don’t forget you have to take into account that not as many ways of earning RP were available during the first years of the game’s life. There are so many more ways to get levels now compared to even 5 years ago so that will factor in as well. I’d put the absolute limit somewhere in the 3500-4000 range, no more.
You're right. The best way I found was to focus on average RP per day over time. I think the only players higher are those who have specifically focused on grinding RP, like x-psycho in the pinned comment 5900! Thanks for watching 👍👍
I don't know about that races and stunt races are still some of the best way to make rp expesally when on double or triple rp and races have been in the game forever. The absulute best way to make RP is cargo and that also has been in the game since Ceos came out in 2015.
I'm currently legitimately ranked 1404 in GTAO, with a second character who's ranked 300+, so had I not created that character and just stuck to my primary one, then instead of rank 1400+, I'd probably be 1700-1800. I also went on a break from GTAO and played RDO exclusively, my character there is 600+, so had I not played RDO as well, my primary GTAO character would have to be at least 2500ish. So honestly If someone told me they were 3000 or dare I say even 4000 with a normal K/D ratio, I'd believe them. I think the reason people have issues with ranks in the thousands is due to there being so many illegitimate ranked modded accounts.
I have been playing for YEARS. still try and get on for an hour a day. I have 15,431 hours in GTA. Used to grind a lot a play a LOT more and stream. I am level 921 on my main account and 481 on my alt character. 9 years of playing. So ya... all legit and never have taken xp or money drops. Never see any legit players over level 500 really except my 1 friend who is level 1120 ish and they've gamed with me all 9 years
I think burnout sets in at a few hundred, you've done everything and got everything, so unless you can make your own fun, you drop off. For me it's heists and vip work for low levels. Had a few people help me in GTA and even more in Rdr2, so you have to pay it forward.
Honestly, it depends on what you are doing. I know when it is a double money and RP on CEO Special Cargo Crates you can jump up in a number of levels. I remember leveled up multiple times while helping other people deliver their crates. If you want a decent amount of RP simply sell a small bunch of crates.
I’m exactly level 400 and I’ve been playing since launch. I don’t always have a lot of time to play and over the years have gone months without playing. But I’ve also gone months of grinding. Wish I had more time to play because I never lose interest in the game.
What you and most of the average player base doesn’t understand is Deathmatches/ Races give tons of Rp, I’m rank 1050 With 70 days in the game 120k players killed, for every kill in tdm you get 100rp per kill, since January 2023 Rockstar has started Community series first week of the event is Triple money and Rp every kill is 300Rp and if you win the tdm you get 21k rp per 10min, if the deathmatch is set on free for all, you get 50-55k rp per 10 minutes, let’s add to that the average of 50 players minimum killed in those 10minutes you’re walking off with 80k rp in 10minutes minimum, Comunity series are every week first week is triple then the next three weeks double, and then new ones are put on triple, most of Rng players that started in 2013 are all close to 2000 or above that.
Good point about death matches. I know racing can let you level up quickly, but I'd not considered death matches, PVP has always been my weak spot, I'm all about the missions and heists. Thanks for watching 👍

I've played since just after rooftop rumble got nerfed. Recently though with the privilege of a 2nd Xbox & GTA character it's made a hell of a difference ranking up. Still only recently pipped 1k though. Always grinding on the double or triple RP stuff.✌️👍
When I was doing the special cargo business to be getting lots of RP I was doing the 2 crates method at a time and I have made about 68 million money from the crates business and I have 3 small warehouses

I find it funny how modders make it obvious they modded their level. it’s often something like “420”, “666”, “1,000”. They never mix it up, showing how generic they all are. Like a box of wheat cakes

I’m at 1300, leveled up 500 tanks in the past year. I’ve been grinding trying to reach as high as I can before GTA 6 comes out. My goal is 1500 before the end of the year. I project I can reach 1700, but with peyote plants during Halloween, I can easily reach 1800 or 1900 by 2025.
im currently level 154 from doing grinding sessions when I feel like grinding on gta online on the weekends so I can get the properties fully maxed out when they go on sale, cause when properties go on sale thats the best time to buy them in the game but past couple days havent seen any good properties that are worth buying cause I already got them when they went on sale before, so im just grinding away to my goal in game which is 30,000,000$ doing solo all by myself currently sitting at 12,456,321$ in the game so ive been making progress, but I do take breaks from playing gta online so I dont get burnt out playing it.
100% on buying properties and upgrades in the sale. The only one I haven't maxed is documents but I've no intention of ever doing sales from that. Only bought it so I can do max nightclub sales. Thanks 😁

Yeah, he actually saw this video and answered a few comments for people, really cool guy. If memory serves, he was at around 5900 when I did the video, so even though it slows down as you get higher. I think he might just about do it before GTA6 drops.
This is pretty accurate. Between the multiple accounts I've played from scratch abd being a day 1 player, the total between all of them rank wise is around 1500 and change. When I played, I'd play a lot, have around 4000+ sad hours but not all was grinding for rank/money/etc. 4-5 hours after work on weekdays was the average, more on weekends with friends during winter months. Haven't played a lot within the past year, just logged on whenever a new car or DLC drops. Content has been stale and the average online enjoyer is fairly toxic, so no reason to stick around.
I will say, Ps5 lobbies aren't too bad at the moment. It got a bit spicy when it first went on ps plus, but seems to have calmed down. I'd love for them to focus on. Making the Og heists soloable. There are decent mission there, but completing with randoms can be a pain. Thanks for watching.
When I started playing GTA online I would wonder what it took to get to level 8,000 but the more I played the more I realized that those ridiculously high RP levels were modded accounts and 99.99% of the time, they are the ones griefing other players. It use to bother me but now, not as much. Griefers are losers who are clearly over compensating for what's happening IRL. Great Video BTW @PerengerinGaming
Tbh anything in the thousands people are gonna suspect you’re modding or cheating. I remember when I first got next gen on Xbox one and I’d get messages every week atleast 4 people would ask if I was a modder for being 1337 (ofc I did cheat for my level with mod menus but I never lied to people or tried to scam them, I only warned them about people who would and to be careful about trusting people who say they are modders or hackers on last gen)
As a legit level 1400 I can say the only thing u didn’t take into account is that when the game 1st came out there wasn’t any 2x or 3x RP events so if u just grinded those u could easily be in the level 2000 range by now playing less than 9hrs a day. I know a few legit 2000s and they mainly race so that’s the best way to rank up in my opinion (if ur good and actually place top 3 most of the time)
Yeah, I had that thought when I was running the figures, if I could get official data it would be better but I'm at the mercy of reddit. I reckon I could get a new character to level 100 in a couple of reasonable days now (well 23 hours is what I worked it out at, trying to see if I can do it solo in one session for a Video) in 2013 that would would have taken a heck of a lot longer so, yeah I can accept that. @7:05 "I think the way to tell is, what are they doing?" I reference the KTD.. if KTD is anything higher than 2 or 3, I don't even bother with the player regardless of their rank.. I've found that generally speaking, higher KTD rates are modders, aholes and/or try-hards.. the lower the KTD is, the friendlier the player tends to be.. and as Perengerin stated in this video, a player that's legitimately gotten a high level has no interests in pettiness unless specifically for revenge.. good players won't go out of their way to ruin your time..

Chop shop was a good update. Casino heist is probably the most fun. Doomsday is good fun but long and you need other players. So if you've been away for a while, there's a fair bit to go at. I'm flicking between this, tlou2 remaster and detroit at the moment.

I'll not reply to all of your comments but, just a few points. First thanks for commenting, I do read and listen to them, so they are all helpful. The video itself covers exactly what the thumbnail and title suggest, so I can't agree on the clickbait comment. If you look at my older videos, they were all about being bad at the game, and some of my replies talk about the same, so I have never claimed to be a 'GTA King' as you put it, I'm just a dude that likes the game and likes making videos, in some I talk about what I am good at, in others I talk about how I learned to get better, so we'll have to agree to disagree on that one too. At no point have I criticised or bullied high ranks. I've had many comments on this video from legit high rank players and have had some good conversations with lots of them giving tips on how they got there. A few people with modded accounts have dived into the conversation too, and that has all been civil and constructive, so I definitely don't accept the bullying part. Ultimately, I just don't think my channel is for you, and that's fine, it would be boring if we all liked the same things. As the real @DarkViperAU would say - 'I wish you all the best' - P

I did the math in my head to know more or less what was the highest level achievable. and to my surprise I was right!! Nowadays I'm thinking that the achievable level of GTA V Online should be around 3000 to 5000!! thanks for showing me data about this

I am level 1168 just from grinding money and jobs. I started in 2017 and am about to hit 7,000 hours. The highest legit level I've ever seen is the You Tuber Rellikain. He was a level grinder the same way other people grind money. He had a day job and got to something like level 4,400 or so before losing the will to live and giving up. I think his videos are still up but he hasn't done any GTA stuff in over a year so you'd need to search his library. He had a peyote plant method, but despite what other people have posted the number of event weeks where the plants were available is very small so you can't use it as anything else other than an opportunistic way to level up fast for a rare week at a day. Most of the day one players with UA-cam channels are between 1,200 and 1,400 or so. YTuber TJLever might be above 2,000 by now. I think he hit a billion in cash before the Professional, maybe around 2018/19?

great Video, I got level 1000 in 2 years, and I also was thinking 10 years of GTA legit level would be from 1700 to 3000 depends on how often they play and what they play because double xp and on was adding too, i am now Level 1451 and after level 1000 I didnt play like before like 5 houres up to 13/14 houres gta xD nowadays just 1-3 days in a week with 1 to 5 houres :D but i have to say if u a good racer and get many 1 / 2 place u should be already level 800 - 1150 even with 2,5 houres twice in the week xD
I've only played for 8 months. I'm lvl 378. Bought some shark cards to buy cars, mostly do races and when I'm attacked in free mode I slowly reach for my remote and turn off the TV. Fun is over.
PVP has grown on me. Used to hate it because I was so bad, I'm a bit better now and I actually don't mind if someone has a pop at me, it can be fun if they're good.
Love the Toreador! Big fan of older cars in the game. I'm decent at sniping, awful at RnG, handy with helis and terrible with jets. But races, I can pretty much only win if I have the best car available AND everyone else is rubbish. 👍

My account I've had since xbox 360 and created my character 10/1/2013 and have something like 560 days played. I'm only 966, I've only met 1 person who's played more time than me. Realistically unless you're constantly grinding businesses you're not gonna be much higher than 1000. Or if you abuse some sort of XP glitch like Peter Griffen.
I was an active RP grinder from pretty much day 1 up untill today and in about 10 000 hours of gametime i was able to hit level 2000 back in 2020. I knew a person who was level 4700 legit around that time but retired now. Im pretty sure the highest legit rank at the moment is a german guy sitting at rank 6500. So if he doesnt pick up the next gta title, he might actually be the first legit player to hit it

Early game when every dollar matters, I think they are priceless, I'm a bit happier to take the risk these days though. Though heist preps are always invited only. Can't be bothered with fighting tryhards when I'm just tryna set a casino heist up!
I’ve played non stop for 5 years like Timmy no grass. Grinded 14 characters from zero . Highest rank two of them have got to is 350 before they were banned. Or banished to badsport for 3+ years. I had a Couple 200+ ranks . Got a 150 the rest are below 100. There’s some legit 600 players but the majority of high levels you see are trash. I always select the lowest ranking randoms to join my heists.
Heists can be a minefield, over my time I've had high level legends who show you all the tricks, high level a$$ hats who troll you by AFKing. I find you're usually safe in the early hundreds, so level 100-175 - at this level people have experience and can handle themselves. Above all I think that R* need to be clearer about what 'stealth' and 'silent and sneaky' mean. IE in *BOLD* after the description *don't go in guns-a-blazing to a casino SnS when you're armed only with pea shooters and harsh language!*

And I know what it’s like starting new characters and constantly being kicked from heists spending hours in the clouds. Never judge people on their rank. Cause my favourite thing to do is go around killing the highest levels with my level 25 character. I know they mad 😂
The formula for up ranking in GTA in this video I understand is an average Every week Rockstar will place 2xRP, 3xRP or extremely rarely 4xRP on specific events I started playing GTA online in 2015 I have taken advantage of the extra RP events and I am an legitimate 1349
In the last set of figures I worked it out based on the best RP per hour I could find. It's a bit of an assumption, but I think it's safe to assume that player was using double and triple RP to get such a high figure. Without official data the best we can do is trawl through what we can find and extrapolate data from there. That said, your level and time played fits pretty well for a 'Sally', ie a regular player who knows what they are doing. Thanks for watching and commenting 😎👍
Yeah, a lot of my friends are around 1500, and like you say, they are not messing with others, we keep to our own private lobbies (even more so now that you can do sales in private lobbies) and help each other grind. One of them even has like almost a billion dollars cause he just would grind out heists and such over and over and over for years.
A billion is serious dedication, I try to keep at around $350 million, drop to 300 after each DLC, and then build back up. I could probably stop the grind altogether and still have enough to buy everything that will released before GTA6, but where would be the fun in that 😆
@@perengerin Yea, he's been playing since launch on the PS3 and has everything, buys everything soon as it comes out... so the only way really for him to spend his money would be to go into public lobbies and start spamming the Orbital Cannon on cooldown. Which, is not something he has any interest in doing. Though, lately he's been playing a lot less, work has kept him busy, as he's the owner of a furniture company (if I understand correctly) so works a lot of hours, plus family.
im level 149. ive been playing sense the day Online went line. i play roughly 1 to 3 hours a day 4 days a week. and have done so sense the online dropped.
I'm at level 1085 with only 62,000h, which is 7 years or so. Started on xbox 360 but never got to transfer it to Xbox one, so i had to restart from 0 I dont play no more, since I lost interest after hitting my goal of lev 1000 for my dog
I also started playing on the Xbox 360, and then I migrated to the Xbox one being a level 419, and then I migrated to the Xbox series being a level 1,200 and now I'm a level 1,506 legit and I stopped playing since July
Currently my main character is 990...hit it the other day ..this is good info for me cause I honestly do not want to hit 1000 until I finally get my ass in gear an get a PS 5 ..something just doesn't feel right about hitting a 1000 in the dying days of GTA 5 on PS 4.....yeah long over due for some upgrading.
You'll be in for a treat, it's so much better on PS5. Graphical improvements are only marginal, but it's so much less laggy and 60 fps is mint! Hope you manage to pick one up soon!

From what I've seen in the comments, legit 1000+ players seem to do a lot of death matches and got big RP in the early days. So as you say, it's definitely doable. Tbanks for watching.
In general Rank 0-8000 is possible in less than 3years by just using 3 methods (piracy method,wr laps, peyote plants) without playing a lot. Takes less than 7h to get 2million rp with piracy and plants, wr laps 2million per h depending on the community job. 6-7h per day would be over 2b in 3 years.

Yes I remember that. I have had a few friends over the years who hit lvl 1000 legit. And even more who are extremely close like lvl 800 or something. But that came with hours upon hours of nonstop grinding and it’s the only game they play. Literally since day 1

I remember a time within the last couple years where modders were able to corrupt accounts, put players in perma-bad sport lobbies, and give excessive rank like this.. they were setting people's accounts to 8000 so I made sure to not log into public servers during this period.. I dodged the bullet but often encounter players that were victims of this.. meaning they have rank 8000 due to someone else modding.. but they themselves are playing fairly and legitimately (at least at the time).. so you can never take the rank as definitive proof..
IMO, the KTD ratio does a better job representing whether you want to play with someone or not than their rank does..
That's a really good point I'd forgotten. It was late 2023 I think and PC lobbies were unusable because of some new mod menus, on top of the ongoing money and RP drops. So yeah, there will be people out there with level 8000 stats who didn't even want them. I agree on KD to a point, but I know regular death match players who have high KD but are totally chill in a public session. Maybe separating lobby KD from competitive KD could work, I suppose that's what mental state does to a degree. Getting complicated now though. 😎 Thanks, P

accounts. I go after them specifically. They think they're hot shit but they're basically useless because
they obviously haven't put in the time necessary to acquire the proper skills needed to play GTA Online
properly. They usually leave after getting their ass kicked for 10 minutes straight.

Once i logged in i bought a yacht and chilled there, but after receiving annoying messages from a group of players it made me not want to play online. I can understand what i was doing is frowned upon but goddam some GTA players can be toxic.

I'm a level 1,506 legit and it's taken me about 5 years to get to this point, the best ways of leveling up for me have been the special cargo business and from playing the double money weekly events but when have been activated the peyote plants well might as well start collecting them plants

I have been playing for about 9 1/2 years. I am level 1189. People have to remember that when I was getting all that RP early in the game it was missions and racing and heists. Those events have significantly more RP then just about anything the "modern" modes are giving out. Also, if you are a person that just hangs out in a lobby all day killing people and whatnot, you are not making any RP.
Sometimes, I go into a session with the intent of killing players. But I don't just kill any old player. I like to go after the players of a higher rank than me. I go after the cheaters, griefers, and modders. I go after bounties or players who's radar blip is red. I do not go after players who are on money runs. I often wonder why they don't do their money runs in a private session. The bonus isn't worth the risk in a public lobby.
Since the laser got nerfed I do bunker, nightclub and acid sales in public. As you can mostly defend yourself or escape, the laser used to be a problem but the range is so low that most griefy types just can't hit you any more. Nightclub is definitely worth it, I usually make 1.8m per sale and they take a few minutes.

@DavidMagicalNangle I suffer from an abundance of pragmatism. As I don't have to work for nightclub stock I'm happier to risk it. Also, the sale truck can take a good few hits, so you have enough time to get out and defend, or worst case, switch sessions. But doing it in public means my average nightclub sale is 1.8M, not bad for 5 minutes effort (and a healthy dose of panic). Thanks for watching 👍👍

I've been playing for between a year and a half to two years and I'm level 280. I can't really tell what my level would be because I get bombed with the xp modders dropping collectibles on lobbies. I'd say without the boost, I'd be about 140. I don't play GTA all the time. I bounce between games so 140 in two years, being a grinder, sounds about right.
Ah, the joys of PC. It looks like manual aim with the mouse would be a great way to play, but with the number of modders around, it's not worth the switch.
My level is 859 and I been playing (with some small breaks) since 2016.
I have NEVER done a glitch or anything to get an advantage.

I’m a lvl 651 but everyone else in my crew are 1000+ . We usually chase mods outta our lobby. We all have over 500 million so even our lower level members go into the Facility and bomb them. In total it’s 16 of us and we grind in our lobby !
I'm at 424. I've been playing since day 1. The only reason I'm not 800 or 900 is because I've had some console trouble with the 4 and had some gaps where I just couldn't play. I went from 200 something to my rank now in about a few months of solid play. Ranking up isn't necessarily hard. Finding the time for the grind is.

Since 2013(PS3), I've seen people with +8000 level accounts & it's totally hillarious and ridiculous. Specially with the 1Billion K/D.

Yeah, there seem to be a few more that I thought at 1200+. I think I'll be happy if I get to 500 before gta 6, though I suspect it will be delayed for long enough to hit 600! I'm not really a grinder though. I run my businesses to buy cars and do heists with low levels. Keeps me out of trouble.

I've been playing since day one. Before January 2017 when I stopped playing, I was around rank 220. Between 2018 and 2020, I was playing here and there and I got up to 270.
Between June 2023 to now after getting a PS5, I play multiple days a week and I'm currently 370. I did grind out my businesses as well as partaking 2x-4x GTA$ and RP jobs.

2013 account is level 1,145. About 10K hours in GTAV. I have a couple accounts also. But my main has just shy of 1 year online IN-GAME. 363 days to be exact. I've seen 1 yt'er over level 3000 and I cant remember his name but he streamed daily rp grinds. And it's been awhile he could be in 4,000's if he kept going. But 2015 to 2019 were some of the best years grinding GTA I became more of a casual by the time Cayo dropped. I'd have killed for Cayo back in the day. Good times.
Lvl 465 here. Ive had the same account and character for the entire existence of GTA online. OG shirt and 10yr party hat to prove it. I have been a working adult for that entire time but regularly play a few hours per week. I am level 465.

Biggest rp level I play with are (top 5 friends) 1100, 1289, 1343, 1427, 1585. I think the top 3 race and do heists daily.

Level 8000's are always a purchased modded account. They're around 300.00 I think. I always report them as it insults us who play legitimately. The k/d ratio is a dead give away too.

I've been playing since GTAonline opened, Oct '13. After the first money drop hack apocalypse I started other characters. I've been in GTAo for 11 years now. I used to work and live at home playing a lot in the first handful of years, less so for some, and now I work full time and don't rank up very often any more. My 5 characters are about 750, 590, 260, 180, 120. I appreciate your breakdown of the long burning single rank, I don't think there's any that both are high rank, and didn't glitch, or didn't get caught in exploits and banned. No one has the perserverence to continue to grind "rooftop rumble" (dumb example I know, it's for the sake of citing "grinding for rank only") continuously for 11+ years. I do know some friends after they got swept up in some dupe glitch problems or whatever, did re-grind their way back up to 1000+ but still, IMO, that's lame and just grinding for grinding sake, not really enjoying the gameplay range.

It's crazy that the max rank in GTA Online goes up to 8000 with GTA V not even being anywhere near old enough to reach it legit. Though i guess they made it this high to keep you playing because going up a rank, even if you unlocked everything, is still somewhat nice.
Been playing since the PC release in 2015, currently at about 700 and something. Haven't been playing much as of late. My play time just deteriorated as the years gone by
One of my buddies would reset his character every 2 months or so. By the end of the month he'd be rank 1.5k and above on PS4. Always doubted his rank until he was banned off of Sony and he refused to elaborate. Came back the following year to do the same thing and brag about how he was so goated.
Ironically he never revealed what he did and said "if you were good you'd know what it was"

I'm level 1430 legit, playing since it came out on PC, but sometimes there are idiots who think i'm modding, they start to harass me on chat or simply kick me just for my level or when i'm destroying them on races/deathmatches. It's understandable because PC is flooded with cheaters, but frustrating at same time for me who plays clean.
It really sucks if you're getting kicked just for beating them!
Don’t forget you have to take into account that not as many ways of earning RP were available during the first years of the game’s life. There are so many more ways to get levels now compared to even 5 years ago so that will factor in as well. I’d put the absolute limit somewhere in the 3500-4000 range, no more.
You're right. The best way I found was to focus on average RP per day over time. I think the only players higher are those who have specifically focused on grinding RP, like x-psycho in the pinned comment 5900! Thanks for watching 👍👍
I don't know about that races and stunt races are still some of the best way to make rp expesally when on double or triple rp and races have been in the game forever. The absulute best way to make RP is cargo and that also has been in the game since Ceos came out in 2015.
I'm currently legitimately ranked 1404 in GTAO, with a second character who's ranked 300+, so had I not created that character and just stuck to my primary one, then instead of rank 1400+, I'd probably be 1700-1800. I also went on a break from GTAO and played RDO exclusively, my character there is 600+, so had I not played RDO as well, my primary GTAO character would have to be at least 2500ish. So honestly If someone told me they were 3000 or dare I say even 4000 with a normal K/D ratio, I'd believe them. I think the reason people have issues with ranks in the thousands is due to there being so many illegitimate ranked modded accounts.
Rdr2 was just incredible. I get why they could keep it going as long as GTAO, but it's such a shame as the gameplay is superb.
I have been playing for YEARS. still try and get on for an hour a day. I have 15,431 hours in GTA. Used to grind a lot a play a LOT more and stream. I am level 921 on my main account and 481 on my alt character. 9 years of playing. So ya... all legit and never have taken xp or money drops. Never see any legit players over level 500 really except my 1 friend who is level 1120 ish and they've gamed with me all 9 years
I think burnout sets in at a few hundred, you've done everything and got everything, so unless you can make your own fun, you drop off. For me it's heists and vip work for low levels. Had a few people help me in GTA and even more in Rdr2, so you have to pay it forward.

Honestly, it depends on what you are doing. I know when it is a double money and RP on CEO Special Cargo Crates you can jump up in a number of levels. I remember leveled up multiple times while helping other people deliver their crates. If you want a decent amount of RP simply sell a small bunch of crates.
I'm 1100-1200 not sure. I mostly do online races. My legit racing record is about 10000-4500.

I’m rank 1050 With 70 days in the game 120k players killed, for every kill in tdm you get 100rp per kill, since January 2023 Rockstar has started Community series first week of the event is Triple money and Rp every kill is 300Rp and if you win the tdm you get 21k rp per 10min, if the deathmatch is set on free for all, you get 50-55k rp per 10 minutes, let’s add to that the average of 50 players minimum killed in those 10minutes you’re walking off with 80k rp in 10minutes minimum, Comunity series are every week first week is triple then the next three weeks double, and then new ones are put on triple, most of Rng players that started in 2013 are all close to 2000 or above that.
Good point about death matches. I know racing can let you level up quickly, but I'd not considered death matches, PVP has always been my weak spot, I'm all about the missions and heists. Thanks for watching 👍

I've played since just after rooftop rumble got nerfed. Recently though with the privilege of a 2nd Xbox & GTA character it's made a hell of a difference ranking up. Still only recently pipped 1k though. Always grinding on the double or triple RP stuff.✌️👍

Playing the double money weekly events does really help to achieve the higher levels very quickly
When I was doing the special cargo business to be getting lots of RP I was doing the 2 crates method at a time and I have made about 68 million money from the crates business and I have 3 small warehouses

I find it funny how modders make it obvious they modded their level. it’s often something like “420”, “666”, “1,000”. They never mix it up, showing how generic they all are. Like a box of wheat cakes
If you really wanted to get away with it and have a bit of a flex, you'd go for level 450ish with a 5 kd. (and not have whitewalls on all your cars)

In my first 3 years of playing online I got to level 500. Mostly due to double money and rp. My account now is 540. My other is 300 my other is 200.

i'm a little over Leval 500 and that took me a little over 5 years to get there even grinding rp
I’m at 1300, leveled up 500 tanks in the past year. I’ve been grinding trying to reach as high as I can before GTA 6 comes out. My goal is 1500 before the end of the year. I project I can reach 1700, but with peyote plants during Halloween, I can easily reach 1800 or 1900 by 2025.
im currently level 154 from doing grinding sessions when I feel like grinding on gta online on the weekends so I can get the properties fully maxed out when they go on sale, cause when properties go on sale thats the best time to buy them in the game but past couple days havent seen any good properties that are worth buying cause I already got them when they went on sale before, so im just grinding away to my goal in game which is 30,000,000$ doing solo all by myself currently sitting at 12,456,321$ in the game so ive been making progress, but I do take breaks from playing gta online so I dont get burnt out playing it.
100% on buying properties and upgrades in the sale. The only one I haven't maxed is documents but I've no intention of ever doing sales from that. Only bought it so I can do max nightclub sales. Thanks 😁

Yeah, he actually saw this video and answered a few comments for people, really cool guy. If memory serves, he was at around 5900 when I did the video, so even though it slows down as you get higher. I think he might just about do it before GTA6 drops.

This is pretty accurate. Between the multiple accounts I've played from scratch abd being a day 1 player, the total between all of them rank wise is around 1500 and change. When I played, I'd play a lot, have around 4000+ sad hours but not all was grinding for rank/money/etc. 4-5 hours after work on weekdays was the average, more on weekends with friends during winter months.
Haven't played a lot within the past year, just logged on whenever a new car or DLC drops. Content has been stale and the average online enjoyer is fairly toxic, so no reason to stick around.
Edit: I just checked my rank 702 character and it's at 3388 hours (141 days, 4 hours) alone, so I've probably underestimated.
I will say, Ps5 lobbies aren't too bad at the moment. It got a bit spicy when it first went on ps plus, but seems to have calmed down. I'd love for them to focus on. Making the Og heists soloable. There are decent mission there, but completing with randoms can be a pain. Thanks for watching.
When I started playing GTA online I would wonder what it took to get to level 8,000 but the more I played the more I realized that those ridiculously high RP levels were modded accounts and 99.99% of the time, they are the ones griefing other players. It use to bother me but now, not as much. Griefers are losers who are clearly over compensating for what's happening IRL. Great Video BTW @PerengerinGaming

Tbh anything in the thousands people are gonna suspect you’re modding or cheating. I remember when I first got next gen on Xbox one and I’d get messages every week atleast 4 people would ask if I was a modder for being 1337 (ofc I did cheat for my level with mod menus but I never lied to people or tried to scam them, I only warned them about people who would and to be careful about trusting people who say they are modders or hackers on last gen)
As a legit level 1400 I can say the only thing u didn’t take into account is that when the game 1st came out there wasn’t any 2x or 3x RP events so if u just grinded those u could easily be in the level 2000 range by now playing less than 9hrs a day. I know a few legit 2000s and they mainly race so that’s the best way to rank up in my opinion (if ur good and actually place top 3 most of the time)
Yeah, I had that thought when I was running the figures, if I could get official data it would be better but I'm at the mercy of reddit. I reckon I could get a new character to level 100 in a couple of reasonable days now (well 23 hours is what I worked it out at, trying to see if I can do it solo in one session for a Video) in 2013 that would would have taken a heck of a lot longer so, yeah I can accept that. I reference the KTD.. if KTD is anything higher than 2 or 3, I don't even bother with the player regardless of their rank.. I've found that generally speaking, higher KTD rates are modders, aholes and/or try-hards.. the lower the KTD is, the friendlier the player tends to be.. and as Perengerin stated in this video, a player that's legitimately gotten a high level has no interests in pettiness unless specifically for revenge.. good players won't go out of their way to ruin your time..

I was Timmy no grass for a while. I got up to level 271 in 6 months and lost my account. I started over and got to a level 175 in 2 months.

Chop shop was a good update. Casino heist is probably the most fun. Doomsday is good fun but long and you need other players. So if you've been away for a while, there's a fair bit to go at. I'm flicking between this, tlou2 remaster and detroit at the moment.

I'll not reply to all of your comments but, just a few points. First thanks for commenting, I do read and listen to them, so they are all helpful. The video itself covers exactly what the thumbnail and title suggest, so I can't agree on the clickbait comment. If you look at my older videos, they were all about being bad at the game, and some of my replies talk about the same, so I have never claimed to be a 'GTA King' as you put it, I'm just a dude that likes the game and likes making videos, in some I talk about what I am good at, in others I talk about how I learned to get better, so we'll have to agree to disagree on that one too. At no point have I criticised or bullied high ranks. I've had many comments on this video from legit high rank players and have had some good conversations with lots of them giving tips on how they got there. A few people with modded accounts have dived into the conversation too, and that has all been civil and constructive, so I definitely don't accept the bullying part. Ultimately, I just don't think my channel is for you, and that's fine, it would be boring if we all liked the same things. As the real @DarkViperAU would say - 'I wish you all the best' - P

I am level 1168 just from grinding money and jobs. I started in 2017 and am about to hit 7,000 hours. The highest legit level I've ever seen is the You Tuber Rellikain. He was a level grinder the same way other people grind money. He had a day job and got to something like level 4,400 or so before losing the will to live and giving up. I think his videos are still up but he hasn't done any GTA stuff in over a year so you'd need to search his library. He had a peyote plant method, but despite what other people have posted the number of event weeks where the plants were available is very small so you can't use it as anything else other than an opportunistic way to level up fast for a rare week at a day. Most of the day one players with UA-cam channels are between 1,200 and 1,400 or so. YTuber TJLever might be above 2,000 by now. I think he hit a billion in cash before the Professional, maybe around 2018/19?

great Video, I got level 1000 in 2 years, and I also was thinking 10 years of GTA legit level would be from 1700 to 3000 depends on how often they play and what they play because double xp and on was adding too, i am now Level 1451 and after level 1000 I didnt play like before like 5 houres up to 13/14 houres gta xD nowadays just 1-3 days in a week with 1 to 5 houres :D but i have to say if u a good racer and get many 1 / 2 place u should be already level 800 - 1150 even with 2,5 houres twice in the week xD

I've only played for 8 months. I'm lvl 378. Bought some shark cards to buy cars, mostly do races and when I'm attacked in free mode I slowly reach for my remote and turn off the TV. Fun is over.
PVP has grown on me. Used to hate it because I was so bad, I'm a bit better now and I actually don't mind if someone has a pop at me, it can be fun if they're good.

Love the Toreador! Big fan of older cars in the game. I'm decent at sniping, awful at RnG, handy with helis and terrible with jets. But races, I can pretty much only win if I have the best car available AND everyone else is rubbish. 👍

Im mid 300s and i used to do the Madrazo Helicopter glitch to XP grind.
My account I've had since xbox 360 and created my character 10/1/2013 and have something like 560 days played. I'm only 966, I've only met 1 person who's played more time than me. Realistically unless you're constantly grinding businesses you're not gonna be much higher than 1000. Or if you abuse some sort of XP glitch like Peter Griffen.
I was an active RP grinder from pretty much day 1 up untill today and in about 10 000 hours of gametime i was able to hit level 2000 back in 2020. I knew a person who was level 4700 legit around that time but retired now. Im pretty sure the highest legit rank at the moment is a german guy sitting at rank 6500. So if he doesnt pick up the next gta title, he might actually be the first legit player to hit it

It's just about the only advantage of Console. Yeah there are still god mode glitches, but it's nowhere near as bad as it was on PC for years.

I’ve played non stop for 5 years like Timmy no grass. Grinded 14 characters from zero . Highest rank two of them have got to is 350 before they were banned. Or banished to badsport for 3+ years. I had a Couple 200+ ranks . Got a 150 the rest are below 100.
There’s some legit 600 players but the majority of high levels you see are trash. I always select the lowest ranking randoms to join my heists.
Heists can be a minefield, over my time I've had high level legends who show you all the tricks, high level a$$ hats who troll you by AFKing. I find you're usually safe in the early hundreds, so level 100-175 - at this level people have experience and can handle themselves. Above all I think that R* need to be clearer about what 'stealth' and 'silent and sneaky' mean. IE in *BOLD* after the description *don't go in guns-a-blazing to a casino SnS when you're armed only with pea shooters and harsh language!*

And I know what it’s like starting new characters and constantly being kicked from heists spending hours in the clouds. Never judge people on their rank. Cause my favourite thing to do is go around killing the highest levels with my level 25 character. I know they mad 😂

Every week Rockstar will place 2xRP, 3xRP or extremely rarely 4xRP on specific events
I started playing GTA online in 2015 I have taken advantage of the extra RP events and I am an legitimate 1349
In the last set of figures I worked it out based on the best RP per hour I could find. It's a bit of an assumption, but I think it's safe to assume that player was using double and triple RP to get such a high figure. Without official data the best we can do is trawl through what we can find and extrapolate data from there. That said, your level and time played fits pretty well for a 'Sally', ie a regular player who knows what they are doing. Thanks for watching and commenting 😎👍

Yeah, a lot of my friends are around 1500, and like you say, they are not messing with others, we keep to our own private lobbies (even more so now that you can do sales in private lobbies) and help each other grind. One of them even has like almost a billion dollars cause he just would grind out heists and such over and over and over for years.
A billion is serious dedication, I try to keep at around $350 million, drop to 300 after each DLC, and then build back up. I could probably stop the grind altogether and still have enough to buy everything that will released before GTA6, but where would be the fun in that 😆
@@perengerin Yea, he's been playing since launch on the PS3 and has everything, buys everything soon as it comes out... so the only way really for him to spend his money would be to go into public lobbies and start spamming the Orbital Cannon on cooldown. Which, is not something he has any interest in doing. Though, lately he's been playing a lot less, work has kept him busy, as he's the owner of a furniture company (if I understand correctly) so works a lot of hours, plus family.

I also started playing on the Xbox 360, and then I migrated to the Xbox one being a level 419, and then I migrated to the Xbox series being a level 1,200 and now I'm a level 1,506 legit and I stopped playing since July

Currently my main character is 990...hit it the other day ..this is good info for me cause I honestly do not want to hit 1000 until I finally get my ass in gear an get a PS 5 ..something just doesn't feel right about hitting a 1000 in the dying days of GTA 5 on PS 4.....yeah long over due for some upgrading.
You'll be in for a treat, it's so much better on PS5. Graphical improvements are only marginal, but it's so much less laggy and 60 fps is mint! Hope you manage to pick one up soon!

From what I've seen in the comments, legit 1000+ players seem to do a lot of death matches and got big RP in the early days. So as you say, it's definitely doable. Tbanks for watching.
