Yes, I instantly thought that this looked like Zapier for AI. Zapier is a major tool for API automations. It works with any app that has an API, so it has about 7k+ integrations to tie various apps together through APIs, Webhooks, and other connectivity systems. Zapier is much more complex and focused toward API integrations, while Lindy appears to be a more simple AI-focused automation tool. Different tools for different purposes. If you want to connect Discord and UA-cam, then Zapier would be your choice right now. You can customize most anything to happen automatically when certain conditions are met in Discord or on UA-cam.

Hi Matt, I would really like to thank you to keep on covering the latest tools I appreciate this one specifically because it helps with so many everyday tasks for a business.🎉 Cool stuff, keep going strong ❤
This has always bothered me for some reason. You give your card for a trial and then you cancel before the 7 days - how hard is it? Theres a ton of ways to set reminders and its easy to cancel. Where is the difficulty? Maybe too much work? If this has a possibility to change your biz or other time consuming tasks, whats the harm in trying and possibly discovering value in it? But that is not worth putting a card in and cancelling in 6 days? Sorry, not a personal attack - just an observation on how individuals figure this to be a bad thing.

Have you tried Dify? I'm looking at both right now. I get the impression N8N is a lot more powerful (in Dify, not a ton of integrations, and it looks, if I'm not mistaken, like the end-user can't even upload files apart from images), but Dify seems much more affordable; they have a pretty generous free option, and the $60 option looks like it could handle most SAAS apps that I would be interested in creating at, apparently, any scale (not including LLM calls, ofc--it's bring your own API key, but so is N8N). I'm pretty inexperienced with development and have never deployed a SAAS, so I'm interested in something that won't cause me to scramble and sweat bullets in the event of any quick growth or contraction of subscriptions; I don't want to accidentally financially screw myself or my app. I like that both are open-source and make self-hosting an option, but I really have no idea what I'm doing with devops. And sounds like N8N's open-source version is more limited than the hosted platform?
N8N's Pro plan charges ~$67 for 10k executions. So at 30 executions/day that could add up to like $6/user. That might be fine for personal use, but that's a super expensive middleman cut if you're using it as the backend for a SAAS app 🫤 And from what I've heard, Zapier and Make are even more expensive--by a lot

I have known about this platform for about a month now and have been hoping to use to build a fully virtual team for my digital agency startup. Will see what happens.
Great vid but unless im being stupid (possible) cant seem to find any way to get embed code for a Lindy and publish white label on my website which I really want to do. More interested in creating assets for clients rather than personally for myself. Any ideas? Thanks
What do you mean you cannot do it with chatgpt? With GPTs you can add any skills you want, including calendars, emails and whatever. I did use it, for example I have a GPT, which can summarize my thoughts, save them to my database, search previous summaries, edit them, save again etc. You probably just don't know how to use it, but yes, GPT can do all of it via API. It just doesn't have this beautiful flow editor, you need to write all the skills in json.
Very fair point! For people who are a but less advanced Lindy is definitely easier. But you are indeed right you can custom make it in json for a custom GPT.
That looks very cool. Too bad the costs are so high right now. I need to train a chatbot with information to make it a more focused expert on my open source project so it can answer tricky questions and walk users through troubleshooting. As long as I can get users to support the cost without charging them a dollar per question through a pay wall, it could serve our purposes. Maybe there’s some way that paying users of an AI service could indirectly subsidize the free tier’s limited usage per day…. And of course it needs to be accessible from our Discord, if possible, and that “webhooks” plugin could be just the thing. Much to explore and contemplate!
A decent effort to bring another agentic workflow product to the table, but I honestly think the API exposure Flowise now offers, will enable dynamic workflow construction using Instruct models. This will almost certainly dismiss much of the manual legwork still inherent in these no/low code platforms.
The biggest problem with tools like this is, you will become dependent on it and just trust it is doing its job correctly. It will have hallucination problems and it will screw something up when you least expect it.
AI hallucination is an issue. Depends on whether the training data is Human produced content or AI interpreted content. Nice comment bud. Made me think :)
Re your comment about not being a dev and custom api calls, Im not either but they are very easy; especially if you use the OpenAI Library and OpenRouter... literally just fill in the blanks from there.
So I am just experimenting with Lindy. I made a very basic news scraper that checks BBS and CNN and emails me headline summaries. For just 3 mails this has cost 400 credits!!!! For a couple very simple tasks. So expanding this to hourly news updates and maybe 5 URL would cost a fortune. Something may not be right. UPDATE: Lindy CS was helpful in explaining that it makes a difference which AI you are using and it's better to use actions instead.
Question, can you two separate ai bots be trained to work together? If that doesn't already happen. Or why don't they just build a memory saver? Or train a ai to remember and one to create, like a team. Just asking
Actually I have a question, do I need to have paid subscriptions to ChatGPT and/or Claude to use those models or is Lindy on-charging the chat usage / API calls in some way (apart from the Lindy subscription, I mean)?
What I would like is to have an accounting agent who records my transactions and sets up the correct accounts for those transactions, so I can know all those accounting things but without the tedious work of capturing the data and (obviously) having it handled unofficially, just to have personal control of my finances. I don't know how to implement it, that's the thing. I imagine something like the Cyberpunk transaction system, something that instantly records your outcomes and orders the transaction in the right position when you use your paypal or credit card or whatever. I guess cash would be the only thing that I would have to record manually, at least 'till we can have the IA with us anywhere like in the movie Her.
Was wondering if the Lindy can assess maps and not only find out when an event can fit into your calander but also decide based on average traffic conditions when the best time to send you on a trip would be
If Lindys (Lindies?) are stored as JSON or other text blocks they they should fine tune an LLM to actually create Lindy graphs for you in text based on a prompt. Then you could edit them visually as you need. That would certainly kick up its utility quite a bit, since looking at that game Lindy graph he was trying to make seems like a lot of manual work. Lindy 3.0?
Can you speak to the authentication mechanism between the various services. Do we have to enter our password into Lindy for other services. OR do we login to those other services first and do a passthrough style authentication (login with google, etc)?
So it's a workflow builder UI on top of LLM function calling? Nice, I guess. I've never been much of a fan of flowgramming, but that could just be me being a grumpy old coder who's been doing it so long that I don't like massive changes 😂 So I'll stick to my code approach for the cost of just GPT and yell at Lindy users to get off my lawn 😅
Hm, I can't get it to connect to my app. I'm trying it with Spotify and started by asking what I was playing. It said please connect your Spotify account, I clicked connect, Spotify gave me a confirmation message and I accepted, and Lindy successfully told me which song was playing. But then when I asked it a follow-up question, it said "Error: Forbidden - perhaps check your credentials?". And when I did a new chat, it couldn't even tell me which track was playing anymore, nor did it ask me to connect this time, just gave the same error. The trouble is that I can't find where or how to check my credentials. In my settings page, there's a "Connections" tab, but it just shows an empty list with apparently no way to add anything. In the workflow for this Lindy, I gave it a bunch of Spotify skills, but I cannot find a place where I could give it permissions. Do you (or does anybody else here) know what I'm missing? Thank you.
I am trying to have Lindy generate an image an then posting it on my Ghost blog. The whole automation works and it generates articles based on my sources, the AI agent node says it generates and image, but it does not post an image. Any hints on generating images on Lindy? And has anyone been able to use something else than ChatGPT for this on Lindy? Kinda want to use FLUX/Custom model or OpenRouter.
But does it allow you to send push notifications and like have an interaction once you click on the notifications? Can it observe your time on apps and limit them? Because that's what I want ...
What makes this different or better than Make or Zapier? The mandatory CC for 1 week free trial is a definite turn off as others have also mentioned. We need to try it and compare to others before committing $$$. One week of trial may work for some if they focus on just Lindy for a period of time, but I would guess most of us need to try it in spurt of spare time.
I was with you until the $30/month price reveal, that's $40 CAD yikes... if it isn't this way already, they should've made it so you use your pre-existing chatgpt api key (I'd stick with 4o-mini), then charge between $10 to $20
Was anyone able to run the "meeting note taker" template? Can you confirm it's working. I think there is no money back guarantee, so I want to be sure.
You know, if you hire an assistant, their entire job is to do what you tell them to do, right? Nobody ever said an assistant had to be efficient and a self-starter!

Thank you.
Im going to forward this over to them
I am trying to have Lindy generate an image an then posting it on my Ghost blog.
How is it better versus Agent-zero from Github? Is it really offline?
While this is cool. Sonnet can write a python code that does the same thing for less cost. This is more user friendly and nice though :)
But does it allow you to send push notifications and like have an interaction once you click on the notifications? Can it observe your time on apps and limit them? Because that's what I want ...
You could probably find a way to set this up. Like I said it connects to a lot of appa
Who else thought of the Triple Lindy Dive?
i need something like these to run my companies social media page
prob a good application for this
What makes this different or better than Make or Zapier? The mandatory CC for 1 week free trial is a definite turn off as others have also mentioned. We need to try it and compare to others before committing $$$. One week of trial may work for some if they focus on just Lindy for a period of time, but I would guess most of us need to try it in spurt of spare time.
16:15 Slack, Discord, Docs. What's up with all the #bloatware / #spyware? Has nobody heard of humble IRC and text files these days?
I signed up but only received a week trial rather than the one month
Please mention sponsored videos as sponsored so that we can trust which of your content is genuine
He stated quite unambiguously that this was not sponsored.
You almost had me sold but you can't do Twitter on it. I tried to use the http fetch bit but it doesn't do headers
Damn. Still in development though so maybe soon?
lindy hmmm, as far i know it is not free i mean you will get some credits it would soon be exhausted during testing!
Shows INTRO WEEK now
You missed your calling as the Kermit the Frog voice over.
I think with n8n such agents have been possible for a while.
Самое главное применение это получение наименьшей удельной цены на растворимый кофе с сайта Интернет-магазина.
I see it as a prototype. Once it is purely verbal, no written interface, then you have it. Tell it what the goal is, and off it goes.
Cool
Is it free? How does it have access to the internet and llama3.1 etc doesn't?
What is the cost of each template as in why is it so expensive to run Agents. This platform should be like $5/mth max. Not $30
I was with you until the $30/month price reveal, that's $40 CAD yikes... if it isn't this way already, they should've made it so you use your pre-existing chatgpt api key (I'd stick with 4o-mini), then charge between $10 to $20
Was anyone able to run the "meeting note taker" template? Can you confirm it's working. I think there is no money back guarantee, so I want to be sure.
Would be nice if it was more integrated with Microsoft Office.
Just make an automation to continually send messages to Instagram creators in order to build an affiliate army
I'm Mr. Meeseeks, look at me! I'm Mr. Meeseeks, yesiree! You make a request, the Meeseeks fulfills the request, and then it stops existing.
Can it help create apps?
I def believe so. Going to try and build a discord bot with this.
@@MattVidPro oh that would be a good project
🍋First lemon in the comments.
You know, if you hire an assistant, their entire job is to do what you tell them to do, right? Nobody ever said an assistant had to be efficient and a self-starter!
An n8n conected with an LLM and a chat interface...
Matt, can you do a 'Triple Lindy'?... if you can't you need to go "Back to School". Maybe your too young to get this.
Thank you for the heads up.
It should be interesting to use Lindy to create some bots for the Forecasting Tournaments over at Metaculus.
Here is a great intro into State of the Art AI Forecasting.

I want it to be able to watch my workflow and then build its own flow then tell me when it’s ready then go ahead and do it.
