To each is own. I personally prefer the new JL and JT. To me that’s a real jeep. This is a nice toy but unless you upgrade literally everything you just break everything
@@SmokinMonkeyOG Idc man the only upgrade I have done was a dana 44. People lose sight that these things are old, things break and go bad. Not the fault of the jeep. I have had a few new jeeps and have had nothing but a horrible experience. Nice to look at, good on the trail for a while, but in the end, junk. But hey if you enjoy your jeep, more power to you.
@whodatisful I’ve had the same bad experience with my old one lol and everyone that I know that has a TJ is constantly repairing it. I guess it’s all the experience you’ve had.
Good video Mike I like them kind of trails that's what we got here in White Rock and they are muddy we've been getting lots of rain catch you next time
Awesome video, great content. Glad to see Big Bird is out and having a blast. A big shout out to Justine for the great shots. Oh hey, when are we going to see Blue Bird out in the trails? Not sending it either but having a blast either way. Thanks again for the fun videos.
The misfire could be the injectors getting hot. There was a service bulletin about this years ago. You need to sheild them from the heat of the engine. There are posts about this on the forums.
I believe MSD makes a decent replacement for the rail if you end up wanting an upgrade. Also FYI if that xterra has the plastic t connector on the firewall heater hose remove it before it breaks, the original hose reaches the firewall connection point without it.
I saw the MSD one, but I wasn’t sure if it was gonna make a big difference on this thing so I just grabbed the one from Delphi. Good tip for the Nissan.
It's just a little more reputable (hopefully) than a parts store rail if you end up in the parts carousel as it may be with quality nowadays. Not sure it gives any noticeable performance upgrades just longevity, unless you're changing spark gap maybe.
Bird Bird tore that last hill up! That's some good driving friend. BTW, how does the 3.6 V6 in your newer Jeep compare to the old inline 6 in Big Bird? Thanks!
When you were first introducing, I was about 2 ask, WHERE WAS THE OTHER MIKE WITH HIS CRV. cause I remembered you saying he was supposed to be out this weekend
That little creek Crossing at the beginning is normally blocked on both sides, so don’t be surprised if you happen to find you can’t get in. I hear that things got a little out of hand down in there a few years back. I see it more and more now in locations where there once was a bridge or the bridge is no longer safe to use . For folks that don’t know, Also consider that if you venture off too far off the side of those old narrow road allowances (farmer and bush lot access roads), youre likely on private property. Many are only shown as roads because that’s how Google maps recognized them. sometimes they’re just a tractor path to the back 100 acres of field or bush.,😅
Mine started doing it on the way to the trail. It’s a week later now and it’s still doing it. I change the entire coil pack still doing it. Time to do the injectors.
Don't remove your decals. Get your new ones and put them on top of the ones on the jeep. After you paint before it dries peel off your decals. If you remove your old decals the new decals Don't really stick to the monster paint. Learned the hard way.
Could've gotten water down inside the sparkplug hole and it would cause it to be like a DEAD MISS, IF YOUR PLUGS AR UP ON TOP OR HIGH ENOUGH TO RETAIN WATER. AFTER IT RUNS A WHILE IT WILL BURN THAT WATER AWAY. I DON'T KNOW BUT THAT'S HOW IT DOES MY 4RUNNER AND IT'S A V6 SOOO YEA. I NEED 2 MAKE ME A SNORKLE
Water is the perfect lubricant, so it is no wonder why mud is so slippery. That is what makes it so fun. Looks like a rat's nest of wires under your hood.
Another cool video Bro! Bird Bird looking good!
Thanks man!
Looks like a blast!
Big bird out here killing it 🙌🏽👍
Man those Tjs were that last of the real jeeps.

Really close to selling mine actually
@SmokinMonkeyOG you gotta do what you gotta do, brother.

Ya lots of rain for us lately too
To prevent mud from covering your side mirrors, you must expand your rear fender flares so they cover more of the tire..
Lmao I cut my plastic ones shorter than the metal ones I have now. I don’t like the look of big fenders I rather have the mud
Nice video, as usual.
Thank you!

Just took it out last week video will be up soon!
@@SmokinMonkeyOG excellent, we'll be watching out for it. Have a great day.
Any good camping spots on that trail?
None out there that I know of

I’ll look into that if it’s still misfiring after I replace the coils. Thanks for the info

The newer one is better on fuel, and feels like it has more power. Still has lots of torque for low speed crawling too
lmfao..... marine biologist. (David Attenborough) Here we have the rare Canadian ocean woodpecker......
Lmao 😂😂
I think those holes àt about the 15:00 mark most of you guys could of gone through in 2wd. The waterfall I know is definitely 4wd.@SmokinMonkeyOG
@RedRabbit4230 you’re right

The green sahara tj is on 35s?
I think so but not sure
How do I find my way to this trail . ? Would love to check it out
Message me on instagram I’ll send you info

What's the blinking check engine light for?
So you know the engine is still there..duh
Misfire
@@vinceimp9581 😂
If it only misfires when you’re off-road, it could just be wet. Mine would do that, I’d soak the coil in wd40 and it’d be good to go

Ti.e for a LS swap lol or 392 hemi..
I’ll sell it before I dump any money into this thing. I’ll hell cat swap the gladiator first

It was running rough even before the trail so I think it’s a bad coil pack but good tip!
Pecker marks from Woody! 😂

It’s not a show rig long as the wires are connected and working correctly it’s fine for this old thing lol

@stephenwest798 don’t bother me, it works
