That's good questions.
As far as Linux/Unix role is concerned in ETL Testing , It's a must have skill because if we have source systems as flat file , we have use any of the scripting language either Linux or Python or any other language . additionally most of the infrastructure like application , database servers are hosted on Linux systems hence you may need to use Linux command very often.
