this is the best "new world" fan video of Rolfe & Rebecca - hands down! and i've watched almost ALL of them!
This is seriously so beautiful. I keep rewatching it. I'm so glad she chose Rolfe in the end. I fell in love with her and John Smith in the beginning, but after what he did to her...I just could not beleive he did that to her. And Rolfe was so kind and good and patient with her. I'm so glad she realized he was the one she was meant to be with :) Great vid, though. I seriously love it. You did a beautiful job.
@mikeleesarajean I agree! The filmmakers admit they took some liberties. But for once I'm glad. They wanted to make a movie about love & what it really means to value it. I loved how John Rolfe was portrayed as a man who didn't have a motive to be with her. He was simply a person with a heart of gold. This is one of the most selfless & compassionate male characters I've ever seen onscreen! And I loved Pocahontas's transition into womenhood. Learning the difference between infatuation & love.
This is such a pretty song...can't stop listening. For some reason Ella Cara Deloria's "Waterlily" goes through my head, and the Waterlily-Sacred Horse-Lowanla triangle. Of course, Waterlily and Sacred Horse's relationship ends for very different reasons, but I think the sentiment fits.
I love!! It's been so long since I've seen this movie...I think I need to give it another shot now.
@AnniPink5 the actress did an excellent job. her portrayal of just how deeply rebecca loves is amazing. its touching to see someone love so uninhibitedly, so completely.
PERFECT song.
Really awesome job on this video. You picked the perfect song and did a really great job on the editing.
My only wish is that I wish it included a clip of when she sees John Smith for the first time after many years, and realizes he isnt the man she thought he was, and re-joins her husband. I loved that scene.
one of my fave vids ever-great song too!
5 stars! CB was incredible as John Rolfe--wish he had more screen time! =)))
Absolutely beautiful.
Thanks so much for the comments on the vid guys!:)
I love their relationship too! John Rolfe really is a great husband. Great job on with making the vid!
Aaaw, I just saw this movie for the first time and I really liked that Bale played Rolfe..because he did it very well.. :) And you choosed the right song to this sad love story. :')
beautiful song! paired with the vid it made me cry!
You did a great job making this clip, this song is perfect!
this movie reminds me of time when i onced loved someone deeply. we were separated by circumstances. I dont love anymore.
Q'orianka you fullfilled every peruvian girl´s dream with just the fact of being with Collin Farrell and Christian Bale. Nice job!!!. And awesome video, this is so sweet
such a sweet movie :)))))
This is soooo adorable!!!! i love them together... =]
Wonderful. Very wonderful.
I always picture this song when I think of them lol
Awww, this is beautiful. And the song could not be more perfect for them!
Lovely song choice:) I love this video. Well done!
perfect song choice! great job on the editing :)
Loved it. Just finish watching
Just to say this now, she was actually playing the correct age. What everyone needs to remember is that Pochahontas herself was only of 20-21 years of age when she passed away. She was only around 11-12 when she saved John Smith's life. Meaning that in 1609, she would have been the age that this young woman is playing. Two years after the film first begins which is in 1607. People need to quit looking at ages and look completely on how much talent this actress gives to the screen. She is also beautiful. I like to think that the real Rebecca Rolfe was very much like her. We will never know for sure. My point here is that Pochahontas was only 6-7 years older when time of her death took place. She was growing up when all of this was happening. I think it is fair to say that being 14 years old for this role is actually a very appropriate choice for this role. If she had been any younger or been like 25 playing this role then I would have bee. Questioning that a lot. The only that is creepy to consider here is that because thr actress is a mimor still, kissing ans all of that is really not allowed due to her being so much younger than Bale and the man who plays Smith. Cannot remember his name. Anyway, looking at it from the perspective of knowing that it is a film and not actual real life is what is important. Because it was real of course once. The acting is amazing. Score is. Scenery. Shots. Such a beautiful picture.
I love this movie and this video is great
hope to see christian bale more in a romantic movies or even romantic comedy xp
i love him in this movie, he played such a loving and caring character...
Wonderful love story
I haven't seen the movie yet but your video is beautiful!
O im peruvian too!! But people say I look like pocahontas lol. But I love Q'orianka and I didnt know she was peruvian lol. Shes definitely my idol!
Agreed
awwww so cute
i hope to see christian bale in romantic movies or even romantic comedy xp
he already potrays so many serious characters,,i love him in this movie cause we often see him play such a romantic and loving character...
LUCKY GIRL
i so want this movie and marie antoinette with kirsten dunst
Thanks so much!:)
Thanks!:)
Also, another detail, mainly for historical points to be taken seriously here... people back then... everything, their whole world was nothing like ours today. Being 14 amd kissing John Smith and or John Rolfe is not considered for then. It would be much more acceptible then. People married so fast and grew up within the blink of an eye then...... great film.
i realy wanna see this movie! I can't find it anywhere!!!!!!!!!
@Trinicoffee Well, if you look at the Big Picture, you could say the same about EVERY woman prior to the last, what, 70 years or so. All Women didn't really have a choice or a say in the matter of who they would marry before then. In the 17th (time period in film), 18th, 19th centuries and and prior. As a woman, I still liked the romantic idea of the movie and the emoting that was exchanged between the characters, not to mention the beautiful cinematography. Beautiful movie!
At the beginning of the movie she lives a romance with Smith (Farrel) but at the end she get married with Rolfe (Bale).
Smart girl ;-) I'd have take the same decission.
everything was great and amazing before i got to know that Q'orianka Kilcher was just 14 years old when she shot this!!
This is not to take away from her acting skills which are brilliant by the way, but it just feels odd knowing that she was so young and doing these scenes with bale and farrell
She's half peruvian on her father's side....and now we are both who has her as her idol xD
Oh hey AnniePink5. I hear you. just that every time I meet someone I really like, I run away. Scared of the 'Love' thing. but yea ur prob right in what you say.
😔💙💙💙
hey, if you have the film - would you be able to upload it to youtube??? that'd be super awesome!!!
You're welcome.:)
Im a peruvian girl, who's madly in love with Christian Bale (i know that every girl in the whole world loves him) but well she's also peruvian (a half) but well, we love her, she's a friggin idol among girls to be with such sexy cuties like them
💜💜💜🥺🙏🏼🥺🙏🏼🥺🤦🏻♀️💯💔
Not too young to be Pocahontas, but too young to be making out with Colin Farrell and Christian Bale, I agree
sorry to bug lol but why does she leave smith? i thought their romance was for real/strong
what do u mean peruvian?
@AyejayyHunayy
i heard they - totally ruins the story sry!- they never were together (smith n pochahiontas) he like reffered to her as his daughter or sumthin.. thers a vid on youtube bout it
...and then she died
@iliketosnuggle123 not to rebecca.. and i guess thats all that matters :)
any native american here?
I know, eh? I'd do Farrel, but marry Bale. :P
wow, are you serious?
Dude... that's why it's called FICTION! Fiction isn't REAL!
She to young for that part
ok folks.... firstly i must say that i am a fan of christian bale and the gorgeous collin farell.... but this movie is a lie and complete fantasy and not even close to what really happened to pocahontas......which is disrespectful and sad ....pocahontas did not have a choice to love....she was forced into marriage and was raped.....
Thanks!:)
