Welcome to We The People Outdoors.
On this episode, myself, Mike Buck travel to one of Ohio's early cemeteries to explore those that were laid to rest there. One stone in specific brings to life a horrific story of Frances Maria Buel who was murdered by her stepfather at only 16 years of age. Join me in exploring this cemetery and learning the history of the tragedy that lead to the death of Maria.

Watching from New Zealand, first time watching and really enjoyed, i used to deliver roofing iron all over south island NZ, use to find little quaint cemeteries everywhere, some only a family plot in the middle of the bush, un tended for years, almost forgotten, but i use to say their names so they were never forgotten
I would do that as well, there are some pretty old cemeteries, some of them might not have anyone alive to remember them, the least we could do is clean up the head stone a little and like you said say their name.
That's beautiful TrophyNZ1, I'm a kiwi sister, nice to meet you
Thanks for watching and hello from NZ. I’m hoping to make it their one day to take advantage of the trout fishing! Beautiful country!
@@wethepeopleoutdoors thank you, fishing is awesome, also Salmon in tje canals up around Lake Tekapo, just up the road
I really enjoyed this one Mike! The story was very interesting. Keep 'em coming!
Thanks for watching buddy! Appreciate it!
Amazing story
Thanks for watching Gail! Appreciate it!
A man after my own heart. My husband and I often used to visit cemeteries. Lots of histories to ponder. I have some great still photos of now-defunct graveyards, including a hidden one with many Native American tombstones. It may be that some of the "missing" headstones in your cemetary were wooden, as not everyone could afford a stone.
That’s really neat Laurel! Where my wife grew up near Pittsburgh there are a bunch of unmarked Chinese graves for some workers who died in an accident in the early 1800s. It’s s sad because it’s not kept up and just a few stones in the middle of the woods.
Nice video thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching Arnie! Appreciate it as always!
Better than the history channel!!!
Awesome video babe!
Thanks sugar. Woof woof.
Omgosh, what a monster he was!!! May God rest her soul.
Thanks for watching Mary! Tragic story for sure!
As a Flyers Fan from the UK, should I subscribe to a Pittsburgh Penguins fans channel... Oh OK then ... really interesting video !
Lol the only reason I have the shirt is because I got it with a free case of beer! I only wear it because I don’t mind if it gets destroyed! I’m a Buffalo Bills fan but don’t follow hockey as closely.
@@wethepeopleoutdoors Never been to the States but I chose Philly as my Sports city..... Like the Bills though. Mcdermott is a former Eagle!! Best of luck to the Bills this season. Would not mind them winning the Superbowl.
I’m hoping it’s their year! Been exciting watching them the past few years. I was too young for their run in the early 90’s to remember good football.
@@wethepeopleoutdoors Sadly I remember "Wide Right" all too well (Never liked the Giants)
My 5tth greatgrandfather was Riverius Bidwell buried there.
That’s really neat Diane! Are you local to the area?
Cool name
