Waiting for a velociraptor to pop outta the tall grasses lol
love the content, keep it up, crocs need you guys for there conservation, and to show people they are just cool creatures that deserve our respect
Your videos are so fun Thank you for taking the time to make them for us.
Bless u for helping the big tortoise. Ur doing an amazing job.
Another great video guys
You should make some more grass free area around the ponds so they can get out of it but it will still look good and u can still see what it does in winter it's looking so good thought I know they are sooo happy and loving it
Your set up is top notch. My Aldabras like some grasses a lot more than others you might try some low growing Bermuda grass. I have had my two for 17 years and they are challenging but great pets.
You guys seriously need to do a video with Clint’s Reptiles and/or Chandler’s Wild Life. 🦎🐍🐢🐊
Hi from England, haven’t finished watching you video but already can tell it’s gonna be great
Ryan sporting a huge smile while feeding the strawberries. Nice to see how much you enjoy doing it.
Hi guys,
Grass:
The tortoises will always eat the boundaries first because they explore to lay out their territory. After the edges are all eaten, the center of the enclosure may have tougher, older, and less desirable grass. You can address this with simple 4x4s laid at right angles to the boundaries to create a maze like effect which can give you a huge increase to the distance the tortoises must travel to make a “lap” and much more young fresh grass to eat.
Channel:
You “Will” find your channel grows faster if you answer a significant number of the comments while small to “prove” you care about your subscribers and listen to what they say.
Diet:
Does one grass species give the tortoises enough variety to thrive on? A lot of other channels supplement tortoise diets with a good pellet they broadcast to encourage foraging. These pellets are scientifically developed to provide the daily recommended requirements for a happy growing tortoise. 😄😄😄
Hey guys. Fabulous new video. Great to see such an awesome setup for tortoises 🐢. Thanks for update. 👍
Please show us the new crocodile ponds you have built at the new facility. I believe you can see them in the background of this video. We've been waiting years to see them.
The greenhouse has grown in nicely. It's weird to think it was once all just dirt.
Put like a 1m by 2m rock slab in each enclosure , it'll be a nice open area and also they trim their beacks while eating in it
Keep it coming! I love seeing the updates
Amazing guys I’d be happy livin in there such a well thought out setup they don’t need for anything and how amazing it is that the shell is starting to heal I wouldn’t of thought he would come back from that u guys r amazing just love ur channel and wish more people new about it cause they sure r missin out :)
Love the tortoise updates!! Thank you!!
💖🐢💖🐢💖🐢💖
Thanks again guys - you are GREAT!!!
This is such an amazing video thank you for sharing your experience i can never get enough ❤
I´m sure the tortoises likes the grass for the most part though. That place is like tortoise heaven. Stoked to see so nice habitats for them. Keep up the great work guys, much love from Sweden.
This is such an amazing video, I love it
Could u do 1/3 mulch n 2/3 grass for them?? That will give them some were to escape the grass n some were for u to feed em etc.. xxx
Hi from France nice video guys keep the good work going.
Get a couple small goats. You can stake them out in one pen for a few days and move them around. They will fix your grass problems and they won't bother your tortoises
Just put down slate to make an open area. Bonus it keeps their claws and beaks grinded down and acts as a bask.
Keep up the great work,They are looking really healthy and happy :)
This was such a cool video keep it up your crushing this UA-cam thing in an amazing educational not click bate or every video starting with getting a new pet
Terrific
To answer the title: YEEEEEEEESSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢
You need to put more structure with different niches for them to live. like their natural habitat
It might have been a better idea to plant dwarf herb plant species seeds in the greenhouse rather than grass.
They are all so cute!
Do you guys have red ear sliders? Great video as always.
Kyle - can you do a video on bio security and how you achieve it for the different animals in your collection? Thanks.
I mean, you could just get a goat or two and let it in there when needed. Only issue is they'd eat everything lol
why dont ya put native plants on the enclousures?
Yeah, like spineless cactus and highbiscuits.
We have (an old) greenhouse too. It gets like 42 degrees Celsius in there even when opening windows. We are thinking about introducing reptiles for control of bugs.... good idea?
I’ve seen other channels with combinations of tortoises and vegetarian lizards that get along great. Some smaller bug eating lizards not likely to hurt the tortoises would work great. 😃
What type of grass did you plant?
Are there any tortoises that can live in central Texas outdoors? Summer highs can hit 110+ and winter lows OCCASIONALLY hit the mid 20s.
Hi Troy. Houston here. Two things. You need permanent water supply available year round. You also need permanent microclimates for summer to avoid heat and winter to avoid the cold. Winter may require electricity for the heat. Summer should be ok with sun shelter and moisture enough to allow for digging and plants.
@@ItstheoutputsTHANKS! Any suggestions on tortoise?
I think to start out you may want a Redfoot tortoise. They are beautiful and can live longer than you. They are easy to care for as well as not too big to move inside during the winter if you want. You can even buy a readymade habitat. Do some research and see what you think.
damn that's a lot of grass. I'd definitely cut that down or take some of it out if I were you. especially for the smaller tortoises.
Curious for the croc enclosures at the new facility. There is a sneek peak in the background. What crocodilian do you guys think is the most intresting from prehostoric times.
Hey Kyle and Ryan silly question when are we going to be seeing your car collection Kyle just wondering also how is your big monitor lizard
how many times a week you feed the redfoot tortoise
Just ad paving stones in the middle for now to give them an open area for feedings
What is the material you used to build the walls of the enclosures themselves?
i think the tortoises go ride the robotmower
Why couldn't you just curate or raise the grass (like a crop) using a weed whacker and raking?
Yes! You could make areas with different kinds of grass and transplant to other enclosures.
R u Guys a couple?
Roses are red
the sky is blue
the grass is green.
Lizards and crocodiles are more interesting then tortoises.
