For years I wore clothes purely as a utility and had a forced minimalist style cuz I thought that was easiest... thank goodness I've found the space and confidence to look like myself again. My hair is so straight too! I have given up on curling it already, but you may try putting your hair on curlers or even toilet rolls to hold the curls for some time while they cool down.
Also, love the concept of this video. I am too trying to be more confident and how we present ourselves externally is massively related to that.
