Great question! In 1869, the spelling of the city was officially changed from Goldsborough to Goldsboro. The "Ghosts of Goldsborough" Tour (listed here: www.visitgoldsboronc.com/tours) takes its name from the historical spelling to reference that time period. Their tour guides dress from this time period and tell spooky tales of spirits and war from this era!
