Oh how I missed the "Lord have mercy" line! Feel like there is little less of it lately, and I adore it so much! :) Always so pleasant to visit DLP with you, Sam!
When we dined here, my 10 yr old son went up to the chef without me knowing and asked for a cheese free pizza! They happily made him his own special (large) pizza and brought it to our table for him. Can't ask for more than that!
Nice waiter cameo there 😂 That mac and cheese looks pretty good! I always think mac and cheese looks a little questionable but that one with the melty cheese on top looks tasty.
I love Downtown but I think that you made a good point: I love it because I travel with a child and a picky eater husband! If I was traveling solo I would say that my favorite one is Agrabah. The food at Downtown is ok, not the best but not bad either. I do enjoy the variety with different sections, we can all eat what we like the most. I believe that's the reason of its popularity between families.
Hi we met that evening when we arrived at the restaurant, we had a great dinner thank you for giving advices in your videos it led me to that restaurant and meeting you😊
Just recently came back from DLP and found it quite good. Hqve a lot going on so was a nice respite from all of that if i am honest. And was cool to see crushs coaster with lights on!
Hey Sam another great video I wish I could go back to Disneyland Paris but we were supposed to go in 2021 but cos of covid we couldn’t and I want go back so badly love your vids tho x
Just got back after my trip to Disneyland Paris! We actually walked past you in studios twice on our last day haha but was too shy to say hey. Ate here for the first time and enjoyed it but I did find the hype to not be what I experienced, though I would go again. Also you can eat the pot that grout comes in lol I discovered that when I thought I broke it hahah
Yes I definitely found the Asian section lacking but I find that in a lot of buffets. We’ve done Downtown a couple of times and I think the last time we went although good it didn’t feel as good as the likes of PYMs or Royal Banquet
We ate here two weeks ago. I thought it was going to be my favourite restaurant of the holiday but it was my least. Food is good but nothing special. I agree in what you said. I personally wouldn't rush to go back here.
Oh Sam, I loved this buffet restaurant!!! My favorite actually! We were there on 8th January. At the end of the night the chef came out and he took some time to go through some dishes and explained the recipes a bit. A lovely guy! My favorite dishes were definitely the green curry & coconut soup (I would have had a whole bucket if I could) and the Fagottini pasta with white creamy truffle sauce - to die for!!! Not sure why yours were rather underwhelming, maybe I had a better batch with more liquid creamy sauce. Yours looked dry. The cornflakes battered salmon bites were nice, too. Mine were not dry, maybe you got unlucky again with your batch. The dessert section is amazing, everything was so good! Thor‘s Hammer is actually a whole meal by itself, so rich. 😂 after all, I think the price is very good considering the amount and quality.
I love a good buffet….but breakfast buffets are my favourite…especially at Cheyenne. My favourite savoury buffet is at the characters dining at Plaza Gardens…. Lots at this one ( DTNY) I wouldn’t eat and I’m not a fussy eater at all….lots I would eat,so it’s not the best value in my book…. That 1st plate looked lush though… Desserts is what I save my room for mainly….I LOVE desserts…😊 I’m always so hungry with these videos….👍🇬🇧
Great vlog as always Sam! We went to Downtown in 2022. Enjoyed it but think we were alittle tired and buffeted out tbh by the time we ate there. So looking forward to eating there again x
Hi Sam (we met at the Hunter's grill in December :D), there is an "Asian Sauce"(I remember because I thought the name was funny) on the left next to the salmon bites. you can even see a glimpse of it in your video at 10:18. It makes the bites much tastier! :)
I went to Downtown on my birthday in november and I had a similar experience. The food was alright, but it was nothing special and not very memorable. The only thing that I distictly remember was Thor's hammer, that was my favourite desert as well! I found the mini-burgers quite dry btw. I also agree about what you said about the atmosphere, it is nog very 'gezellig' as we would say in Dutch, and the tables really are too close together. I much prefer Billy Bob's or Agrabah, if you want to eat at a buffet. But Chez Remy and Walt's are my absolute favourite places to eat!
It looks so nice there Sam, so many choices & good food. And I didn't realise that you actually have starters & deserts from all the different cuisine's too, thought it was just mains? The atmosphere seems really warm & welcoming also...more than any other hotel restaurant dining? I love that I've been able to feel that from just watching your vlog, very cool. Was so interesting hearing your thoughts ...I'm not really a big foodie & enjoy more basic so it'd probably be perfect for me! thank you. x
Sam is such a sweetness.. she makes u smile everytime. Im a lil concerned tho... because i read hours of reviews.. and this must be the best buffet( except royal banquet) regarding taste and quality... several other disney hotel buffets get a very low rating = seqoia cheyenne and santa fe .. but listening to you this downtown buffet isnt very good if i pay 120 for 3 peeps: i expect it to be good sorry.... im in doubt now.. i wanted to go there, because i cant go to the royal banquet, since its only possible to book during a stay at the disneyhotel.
If you cannot get a booking for this restaurant can yoh just turn up and queue ?? If so what's the wait time like ? Just gone to book as soon as booking came available and gone already !! 😮😢
Good looks nice. I’m the same and don’t like dry food, I like moisture too. Haven’t eaten there but have been to the 3 course restaurant but I was only impressed by my starter, I had lasagne as my main and the pasta wasn’t cooked enough and missed not having cream in the tiramisu 🤣
Definitely my favorite buffet but getting a reservation is such a nightmare when you've got AP's and stay off site most of the time. Even when having the app ready at midnight when reservations for your desired day should open 2 months in advance it's basically impossible and already fully booked. I always keep checking the day itself to see if there are any cancellations but so far we've only gotten in once when we were staying in a Disney hotel and could book over 6 months ahead.
I totally understand the prices, since all those castmembers should be paid a fair salary (they don't pay them enough tho), but all those prices in disneyland paris are starting to be way too expensive for me
Always enjoyed the Manhatten restaurant, without the kids is our treat! What's your favorite hotel buffet restaurant after the Disney Hotel as you can't book there unless you're staying there!?
You can book the Royal Banquet for lunch as long as you're staying in a Disney hotel :) I find Chuck Wagon at Cheyenne to be quite underrated and always enjoy eating there x
You were talking about " lacking".. what i noticed: every breakfast in disneyhotels are english breakfasts .as if everybody going to disney is british or american.. i think thats a fail.. that eggs bacon sausages bs all the time..people have different preferences.
Oh how I missed the "Lord have mercy" line! Feel like there is little less of it lately, and I adore it so much! :) Always so pleasant to visit DLP with you, Sam!
Haha aww thank you so much! :)

That is SO lovely to read! Amazing service :)
Im staying there in May and already Downtown is fully booked for the whole time we are there. Book well in advance!
You can try a walk up, maybe you are lucky. Or ask your Disney hotel reception, they made it possible for us, but it was a late time though.
Would love to see more Asian section as well! But love the vlog. Can't wait to try it.
I liked eating here purely for the theming. I’m easily bought by a good theme!
Hmmm the buffet options looked delicious! Always loved this place
That was our waiter too. He was amazing 🤩
I’m in the video at 0:15😂
This buffet is definitly on my to-try list 😊
Thanks Sam, I love your restaurant review and I'm hungry now!
Haha thanks for watching as always :)
Nice waiter cameo there 😂 That mac and cheese looks pretty good! I always think mac and cheese looks a little questionable but that one with the melty cheese on top looks tasty.
It was surpassingly good :)
Thanks for sharing, Sam! Been binging your videos as we prepare for our stay at Hotel New York + first visit to France/DLP! 💗
Aww glad you're enjoying the vlogs :) Hope you have a wonderful first visit!
I love Downtown but I think that you made a good point: I love it because I travel with a child and a picky eater husband! If I was traveling solo I would say that my favorite one is Agrabah. Was so lovely to meet you :) Glad you enjoyed!
Enjoying your videos SO much! You are referring to your top 5 buffet restaurants in your video. What are your top 5 buffet restaurants in DLP?
Yes Sam what are you top 5….👍🇬🇧
Very cool
Thanks and Welcome to the Cotswolds
last time I ate there I tried the dumplings in the basket from the asian part and It tasted much better than they look and i could eat it all day
We'll be staying at this hotel & eat at Downtown within 25 days. Cannot wait!!!
Have an amazing time! :)
Just recently came back from DLP and found it quite good. Hqve a lot going on so was a nice respite from all of that if i am honest. And was cool to see crushs coaster with lights on!
We are booked for December. Looking forward to it 👍🏻 Buffets are usually a good option with three sprogs
Hey Sam another great video I wish I could go back to Disneyland Paris but we were supposed to go in 2021 but cos of covid we couldn’t and I want go back so badly love your vids tho x
This one was our fave on our last trip, booked it twice for the upcoming trip in June! 🙈
Love it!

You can eat the flower pot on groot too
Ahh you're right!! Next time! :)

That's fair x

WeAAayyyy hi Sam 👋🏿 ❤
Great vlog as always Sam! We went to Downtown in 2022. Enjoyed it but think we were alittle tired and buffeted out tbh by the time we ate there. So looking forward to eating there again x
Thank you :) Hope you're less tired on your next visit! x

Oh thanks so much for letting me know! Will give it a try with that sauce next time I eat there, if they still have the salmon bites :)

Agreed about the burgers being dry! Thank you for the new word - gezellig! I also prefer Agrabah/Billy Bob's to Downtown x

Yeah, it's a very friendly warm environment :) Hope you enjoy it whenever you try it x
We tryouts a few times to get a reservation don’t have any luck maybe tis year but the food looks very delicious thanks for sharing your vlog ❤
Thanks for watching :)
Hi Sam!! Love your videos. Which would be your favorite buffet in Disneyland Paris?
Some of my faves are Agrabah Cafe, Chuck Wagon, Pym and Royal Banquet, I think! Hard to pick just one!
Can I book this restaurant if I have a half board Disney dining plan?
Shouldn’t be watching this at breakfast, I’m now starving 😂
I like the food here but it is a bit too cramped for me.
I have Royal Banquet in December and I can't wait.
Hope you have an amazing time :)
If you have paid for half board throughout your stay and staying at a different hotel can you book to eat in any hotel restaurant?
Sam is such a sweetness.. she makes u smile everytime. Aw that's sad to hear! Haven't been to Manhattan in almost a year, maybe it was a bad evening, maybe quality has gone down? Will try it again soon
Definitely my favorite buffet but getting a reservation is such a nightmare when you've got AP's and stay off site most of the time. Even when having the app ready at midnight when reservations for your desired day should open 2 months in advance it's basically impossible and already fully booked. i've booked pyms kitchen, and plaza gardens but what's better pyms kitchen or downtown can't go to both.
By far the best buffet at DLP
Just booked this, does anyone know what time the fireworks start in DLP , haven’t been in a few years and coming in April
sam what is your favorite restaurant in disneyland what do you recommend and also thanks for your nice videos you make always enjoy them
Currently, Rosalie, Manhattan and Walt's - probably. Buffet-wise, I enjoy Agrabah Cafe a lot :)
I think the price it is quite reasonable compare to other buffet prices....
It’s the most expensive non-character buffet at Disneyland Paris x
I totally understand the prices, since all those castmembers should be paid a fair salary (they don't pay them enough tho), but all those prices in disneyland paris are starting to be way too expensive for me
Did they have any gluten free options there or at any of the Disney Paris locations ?
Yes, you just have to ask for the allergy menu x
I had a reservation today for downtown only I became sick
Maybe next time
Hope you feel better soon!
What would be your top 5 restaurants in Disneyland ? I read this one was the best so Im surprised by your review
Thanks for your vote for Chuckwagon. We've only ever had breakfast there, have to try it next time we visit which won't be too long 😊
What Time did you going at restaurant ?
I thought pyms out of all was the most underwhelming
You were talking about " lacking".. what i noticed: every breakfast in disneyhotels are english breakfasts .as if everybody going to disney is british or american.. i think thats a fail.. that eggs bacon sausages bs all the time..people have different preferences.
Of buffets you've done they all seem to be better than food at plaza as said previously hardly ate anthing
Sorry the background noise is so off-putting. Definitely couldn't ear there.
CAPE COD IS BETTER..
