Appreciate this upload. Not only do we get GKR calling out the gross incompetence of this 3 hour and 50 minute rain delay but we see a game suspension announcement while they're calling out the league.

I'm a Yankee fan and I know Gary Keith and Ron really well and SNY for my crosstown New York rivals, Mets. These guys are better than my Michael Kay and YESNetwork for Yankees games.

i wasted 4 hours of my life sitting there in the rain because there was absolutely 0 communication going on with the fans. I cant even attend the 12:35 game tomorrow since it's mothers day and i bet you a lot of people made plans on sunday. not only did i waste 4 hours (plus another 3 for travel time) , but now I cant attend the following game and cant get a refund.

@@369Alien only if you bought ur tickets thru the nationals then you can exchange for another day. I bought mine thru seatgeek and couldn’t refund/exchange. Had to sell my tickets for 18 bucks a piece while i paid 95….

Seeing "Free parking will only be honored for the first game" on the scoreboard is such a slap in the face to the fans. MLB and their clubs needs to show fans a bit more appreciation. The fans just had what should have been a nice day at the park totally spoiled (after paying through the nose, mind you), and chances are they have been soured on the experience of watching an MLB game. Throw in free parking for the whole next day, some free concessions, and a gift certificate to the team's merch store.
The guys who ran the tarp out on the field were amazingly fast and smooth. Impressive
Braves Vs Nats in 2017 had a 3-hour 5 min rain delay with no rain. So this is not the first time there has been a crazy outcome to a rain delay in Washington.
Didn't suspend the game soon enough. Haven't seen an infield that bad while they are still playing. Only see it get that bad when it downpours and they struggle to get the tarp on.

Reminds me of a Mets v Brewers game back in 2021. deGrom v Burnes. The game never started due to rain and Steve Cohen tweeted all night about how they will start the game soon.....then it was cancelled 3 hours later and he unceremoniously went "whoops" .
Pathetic each time.
I went to that fiasco with a friend. Honestly if deGrom wasn't scheduled to play that night, they wouldn't have kept the crowd waiting for that long.

Those fans need vouchers, and even reimbursement for their time. Fans waited FOUR HOURS in the stands with nothing going on. Absolutely absurd

These long rain delays have been going on for decades. I follow baseball on my app I haven't watched games since the pandemic short season. Baseball with new rules owners still giving decade deals paying a small fortune to go to the ball park. I could care less sports don't matter as much as when I was a kid.

lets be honest- look at who is playing. Both teams will lose at least 90 games this year. MLB probably thought it was a double A game, with the National roster being Double A talent and the Mutts, well, a bar league rec softball team
