the fact that alice is stuck in her imagination and won’t get out of it is literally a metaphor for drug abuse ; she keeps coming back to another dimension and doesn’t know weather it’s an actual place or just a dream, her imagination. the cake and the liquid she’s drinking are drugs as well. my girl alice is tripping. take a look at the lyrics of this song and you’ll realise alice’s close ones are worried about her because she suffers from substance abuse and they don’t understand why she doesn’t want them to help or she doesn’t even want to get out of this really dark phase.
