Scary & Historical Photos from The Past You Must See !

- Historical photos already have an air of eeriness to them, even if the tone of the image is a happy one. It's the black and white, sepia feel to them, and the sometimes torn and damaged look; the sense that they've literally gone through the test of time. These historical photos are actually scary, and the contents of the images are pretty damn hair-raising.
The spy smiled because he was taught to say cheese during photos in school
Your comment lightened my mood ❤
@@androidmaster3369 😊😊😁
n3wbee LMAO
My thought, that spy were smiling because he knew that he will enter the commie heaven and would have make an everlasting friendship, fraternity, camaderie with the big shots of his ideological faction..
Hold up I'm the spy

The mummified head of the possessed nun was real creepy.
I would rather call it fucked up since who cuts off someone´s head and box it as a trophy?
+Marlene Lawson How are the eyes so perfectly preserved? Weird.
I know I was wondering that myself how the eyes are so perfectly preserved. Its creepy looking at it alone lol.

People crawling into tight holes and crevasses creeps me out. The thought of getting stuck is scary!
AQ
EXACTLY
@@humansrtrash324 That is actually a true story , He was a cave explorer that got stuck in a tight space upside down the rescuers couldn't get him out so they stayed with him till he passed. They then sealed up the entrance where he got stuck.
.
I love tight holes as long they don't stink
@Doggo Thinks Still there, buried in cement.
All those Bison heads--- thats just SAD
yes :’-(
***** yes it was a slaughter. But there was no reason to kill so many. I understand they needed food but not like that.It truly sickens me that we have not grown and changed from the way we were so long ago.
***** We are a stupid species aren't we? I agree with you though - it may be to late. Not the change - never to late to change but to late for that change to save us or even get an results- yep to late for that.
+Christy Ganter ho dik youn haary hun ))
Ayub Khan what does that translate to in english- googles translation was quite rude.
The people who show up to watch a person being publicly guillotined are a ghoulish lot.
+ftsjr ; It does bring a certain amount of relief to know that the fear they caused would not return. I believe in the efficacious use of a single bullet to the back of the skull, done without a lot of fuss and bother and burial in a nameless grave.
+ftsjr This execution was actually filmed (you can find it on UA-cam). The filming (which was concealed and illegal) led to the abandonment of public executions of France.
What else were they going to do, watch UA-cam?

ftsjr rightttt
The Russian spy died but he died smiling which is sad but still kind of happy because he actually smiled for the picture even though he knew he was going to die. Just my opinion.
Same
Maybe he smiled because he knew he was dying for his country and that gave him a sense of pride and there's nothing like pissing your enemy off........
U have a nice skill of finding positivity in everything ...😄😄
Who knows he was really a spy or just another man posing for camera
The Dragon Wolf yes
the nun freaked me out 😨😱
Right after i watched the movie
Hahaha there was a cursed nun in real life
Me too
Who that's scary🙄
Suddenly I was shocked
1:53 that photo is just terrifying! It give me shivers
The twin shot made me pause and take a good look! Twice ;)
Lady Page i see what you did there ;)
me too. this video is a hoax.
look in the water I think that is her sister.
AGWOLF 299 Really!
+AGWOLF 299
it is the twin sister
Re the girl visiting her twin:
Truth: This image, along with many others, is a picture used in the book series "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" to help tell the story, usually edited to help the effect.
But I'm still thankful for your posts, I still learn new stuff, even through your stuff-ups, because when I share it on FB, friends point out to me what's true and what's false :)
Video: look closer
Me:*shiver*... i don't want to...
we all die. everything we have is just a loan till then.
True
What thought provoking words. True. 👍
And there's a life hereafter where we will be accountable for what we do in this world
I know that we are all die but who know when we die we can be evil or be a haunting to human?🤷😂
2:25 - back in the 19th century, cameras would take a lot of time to take a photo. people would have to pose for a minute for the photo to be completely taken. many parents wanted photos of their children, like their newborns. however, they couldn’t stay still for a minute, so photographers had their mother hold them in the photo to keep them in place, and often the mothers would cover themselves with a sheet or simply look away
Exactly. After the photo was taken, the photographer darkened the background and framed the photo so you couldn't tell mom was there.
The head of the nun looks exactly like the old woman/witch from Dragon Me to Hell. Enjoyed the video.
FYI the image at 2:54 is by my favorite photographer , Francesca Woodman. She knew how to create ambience before it was a “thing”. Look her up.
Nun was crazy and very creepy.... The back ground music and the slow motion made all the necessary reason to increase my heart beat at 2.40am
The picture of the children and a person covered it's common in old pictures. The mothers trying to keep stand up her children without showing herself in the picture.
+Angyliv I was going to say that but you beat me to it :)
+Angyliv
I was going to say a servant of lower status in a very bourgeois family. I imagine she breastfed all the kids and took care of them tenderly but she has no right to be remembered. (You can't hold people from imagining like you can't force a horse to drink, lol).
I don't know why I keep looking at that stuff after all the real things I've seen.

Condition of that union soldier !!! 😫😨😰😓
The ones with the head-covered woman aren't so scary; at the time having a mother hold her child for a photo was common in order to keep the child still and calm through the long exposure time. In order for it just seem like the baby was the only one in the picture, mom would sit under a sheet or blanket, hidden but still a soothing presence.
poltive The baby in the picture is dead.
poltive The child is dead. In victorian times the only time you were photographed was when you died as it was very expensive.
Paul L what???god,i didn"t know that...in those times the families cannot take pictures of their own or their borning sons???
nuno filipe It's sad but true, here's a link sfglobe.com/?id=17572
Paul L god......it makes me creepy.I understand that was a way for those families keep their deceased ones in their memories,but....god,i dont think i could do that if it was my son or daughter....my god
1:09 is from Mrs. Peregrine's home for peculiar children
Omg i was gonna say the same thing. That book is amazing
Leslie Sykes Right?
Toastiepawz heck yeah
Toastiepawz omg ikr i love those books i hope they make a book 3 soon
Love those books
thumbnail was from Ms. Peregrine's home for peculiar children 😂
exactly the reason why I clicked.
"Look closer"
Me: oh hell nah *looks away at my phonr for a few seconds*
The 'twins' picture is an obvious fake. The reflection is too big and neither of the reflected images match. Likewise the 'hand on the shoulder' is very badly created with some parts of the supposed ghost being in front of the fence with some parts behind it. Scale is also a problem with this one. Other images I saw up to the point I left it at about 1 minute in were just dull and/or inconclusive and conjured nothing without the backstory and the music. Clickbait nonsense.
The nun face scared me and I had to shut my eyes until it went away :D
mavis cruit If you had to close your eyes, how would you know when it went away ?
I peeked a couple of times :D
mavis cruit Giggle.
I love how your scared then you just put a smily face :D xD

carbonaceousGakanje LOVE THAT MOVIE!
2:30 pictures like these are actually common, especially during the victorian period. The women covered in cloth and holding a baby or a toddler in their lap is usually the nanny or the mother of the child, trying to keep them still for the photo taking, which at that time can take a couple of minutes.
Why didn't the mother just join-in in the picture? Because the subjects of the photo's like those are supposed to be just the children. It's just that toddlers, being the children they are have a difficult time keeping still, so the mothers hold them still to help.
Even so, I do agree that the picture still looks sorta creepy
still scary in the 19th century, they took a photo with their family/beloved ones that are *DEAD* and the children are placed in the bed and looks like they were sleeping. For the adults, the eyes were drawed in they're eyelids so it looks like they were alive.
The girl by the pond is very simple dodge and print method....
Yeah, you can see her reflection is in a different pose from her.
LOL
Who scare but love to watch creepy video?
You are just increadible man......AMAZING
Awesome video. Thumbs up!!

+VampireLilyHellsing , I started out watching russian dash cam videos which one the whole is more interesting than this video.
+Valerius D Cretinous comment.
vampirelilyhellsing Idk but I'm with you there I was listening to music and I ended up here
THAT NUN SCARED THE SQUAT OUT OF ME!!! I swear I was NOT prepared for that
Start out watching unexplained disappearances , and ended up here !! Never fails !
There's nothing spooky about the picture at 2:30. That was a way of taking photos of your children without being in the photo yourself. But you had to hold a young child, so covering up was the only option before Photoshop.
4:46 Omg The Nun. Can I ask you guys???? Is The Nun is a true story?
the story was a made up one by the so called ''Ghosthunters'' to make people intreseted with there work, so no it's not a real story, and the other conjuring mpvies are made up or missrepresented. seriuosly look att the real annabel doll.
That poor nun and that poor prisoner of war. I hope he was nursed back to health and survived to live a good life.
THE POOR FREAKING SOLDIER
2:06 really!?!? Who the hell took this photo?,
"oh look theres a child n mother falling from a platform attatched to a burning building, ill just take a photo!"

2:10 Fire Escape Collapse, also known as Fire on Marlborough Street (1975), is a black-and-white photograph by Stanley Forman which received the Pulitzer Prize for Spot News Photography in 1976.
Nice paintings
I don’t know why this music gave me relaxed

lol the tree with a house growing on it is a temple. Silly fellows!
good job man
The sound track and the photos are very grotesque!! I will go back to this video and pay more attention
i am so sad for those to be killed
Did anyone trying to out-smart any "Look closer" things?
That lady's foot from the ashes almost gave me a heart attack
The last 2 were terrifying!
i must be a slow reader or your long descriptions wern't on screen long enough.
ok....so where is the scary part? ive seen much much worse on the streets of Houston texas
Why are we so intrigued by the scary and unexplained and land up watching it late in the evening? .... Alone!
The 3 children on the strange couch is an example of hidden mother photographs which were common. Photos took a long time to take and children moved so they were sat on their mother's lap so they held still.
Uploader makes a big deal out of nothing.
+scarletfluerr Stop watching his videos then.
+scarletfluerr this video sucks
+chad haire So's your face.

same...
Watched this before going to bed. Unpleasant dreams💀👻
In 1:11 thats the picture in the book of Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children!
The dead soviet soldier posed just shows how badass the Finnish are. Also the union soldier looks dead! Was that picture taken after he died or while he was alive? He looks like a friggin skeleton!
I think he was alive! Unbelievably so but if he was dead then wouldn't be any more shocking than any of the WW11 victims as they all looked skeletal
+Alysha D when talking about World War Two you should probably say two, 2 or II (capital i's) because that looks like you're talking about world war eleven which hasn't happened. Just a tip :)
+dezielynne well you got the jist and if you check history books or take a class that is how they write it in many places. Why do you care?? Lol
+dezielynne you should seriously do some research before making ignorant comments especially with a history major...go google it and you'll see WW1 & WW11 written that way..if someone seriously thinks it says WW eleven they've never seen a history book. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_War_II
+Alysha D I care cause it confused and I never saw it written like that
1:10 that picture is in my book. I dont know what it's called in english but i know how it's called in german: "die insel der besonderen kinder"
Now it time to watch a Disney movie.

Background Music is very Scary. I like it...
..way too fast. A must re-do...slower. Eliminate print..
voice over, please?
What exactly is so "terrifying" about 1:33??? The grammar in the video is more terrifying and unbelievable than anything else.
Look at the top of the stairs on the right
At minute 2.36,the figure behind the "curtain/vest" is actually either the mother or the nunny of the kids. It's a photo from the victorian age. To take a photo in those years meant to pose for around half minute, but kids couldn't stay still for too much so photographers opted to hide their moms so that they could stay still.
the stories are true! for exemple:the girl who visited her dad twin is from book that I reading now
It amazes me how so many videos get posted relating to history and digging up "facts" about these photos, when the ones making them can't even write a proper sentence. The only research they should be doing, is proper grammar.
You already uploaded this wtf
Wow first comment on this video!!!
The twin sister photo is really well done. RIP all the kids and families that died from that horrible crap.
the pic with the nun's head makes me cringe
