Kirstie wrote all of the songs on her solo album. They lyrics on all of her songs are very personal. Some believe that the album is a bit too overly-produced, but I actually enjoyed the album a lot. Break A Little from the same album is a mini-masterpiece. It was the release of this album and her acclaimed stint on Broadway shortly thereafter that really caused Kirstie to come out of her shell and has given us the highly self-confident shining star we have today!
Kirstie nailed her performance Live "Seasons of Love" on the Capitol Fourth show. Scott's "I Should Tell Your Momma on You" definitely should be on your list.
Since you seem to be doing solo stuff for all the PTX members I'll recommend a coupe for Scott: - "Lose Us" with Rozzi where he shows off his higher range - "I Should Tell Ya Momma On You" where he shows his bass range
I love her solo album. It seems that most of the songs she writes involve the complexities and ups-and-downs of relationships (probably drawn from her experiences), including the ones she wrote for PTX to perform. If you hear a PTX original song that is heavily talking about the dynamics of relationships, there's a good chance that Kirstin wrote or co-wrote it.
I have always been surprised that neither Kirstin or Superfruit got much radio play. I can see why they might overlook Pentatonix as an a cappella band (big mistake) but both Kirstin and Superfruit have great funky and pop vibes along with terrific songs. Thanks for reacting to the queen!
I think when this album came out lots of the fans didn't know what to think about grown up Kirstin. They won the Singoff when she was only nineteen and she came across even younger sometimes. Most songs she sang the lead on with Pentatonix had more of a girly vibe. I really think though of everyone in the group's solo work, this is most chart friendly.
Thanks for doing this! I agree with a lot of other commentators that she doesn't get enough love in general (though that's starting to change), but this album is great and I almost never see people react to it. So again, thanks for doing it! Break a Little is also awesome!
Kirstin is a dope lyricist no cap. I know you’re reacting to The Lucky Ones and she wrote or co-wrote at least 4 of the songs, my favorite being Exit Signs which I hope you react to soon 😁 (hint hint 😂)
Kirsten is the most underrated and overlooked member of ptx. She gets no love from the so called pentaholixs. Its real sad, even matt the new member gets way more love. This whole album she wrote is pure fire. She is so talented.
@@DisfunktionalTVyeah i think she is amazing but i never hear anything about her. Her full album is amazing but nobody even talks about it. She is the after thought of the group from a majority of the fans. Just my opinion.
@rizeagle33 You must not pay much real attention to us “so called” pentaholics, we love Kirstin, she is freak’n AMAZING and incredibly talented (and we even know how to spell her name)
@@lauriedaiken4426 um except for the fact all her shit gets none of the views or support that super fruit or ptx does. I stand by what i say. Sorry not sorry
@@lauriedaiken4426 i mean even he said it in the video. How many years old is this video and it has a fraction of the views of everybody else. All i ever hear is how great scott and mitch are and hell i even hear mitch get credit for shit she does. Its sad really but its true.
This song and Break a Little are both fire but young ppl can't handle deep meaning songs. NOt talking about booty calls. They can't see good music when they hear it.

This is the first time I heard this. I like it. Really good.

Bad Weather and Break A Little are also from her album. The Pentatonix song Rather Be features a Kirstin solo.

Check out Mitch and Scott's group Superfruit, especially their cover of "Rise" (Katy Perry)
I agree. That gives me chills every time I hear it, no matter how many times.
Lots of emotions on this one.. Powerful song .. Kirstie don’t mess around…💯🔥💜

I just checked and she wrote the lyrics. She has been doing a lot of the original songs lately. She is very talented.
This sounds like it just came out! I never knew this was in her repertoire, but it's 🔥.🙂
Her whole album has a similar style. I really like all the songs.
She is so amazing! Sooo underrated! It is an awesome!
Love it! Love Kirstie
