Thanks a lot, this the first song I learned how to play when I started playing bass (took me a long time, 'cause it's a bit tricky). I'm really looking forward to be able to play it on my drumset as well. You don't know how excited I am.
Wish you wouldn’t out Ringo down. where did you hear that he’s the best drummer in the Beatles? George Martin? He admitted he’s not flashy because the other two were the ones that had all the attention. He is exactly what the Beatles needed both in personality and skill level
Apparently when asked if Ringo was the best drummer in the world John replied “He’s not even the best drummer in the Beatles” - suggesting that the other band members might do a better job. It’s a fun joke, but whether you think Ringo was an amazing drummer or not he was perfect for the Beatles! 👌
@@imirrelevant513 Can you provide a link to that interview? I'm thinking you can't, because it doesn't exist. The only UA-cam videos about that quote are about the fact that Lennon never said it.
@@msalzberg4962 Your are absolutely right. John (despite his caustic sense of humor) would have never said that about Ringo. How would he said that and then have Ringo drum in some of his solo albums? (as did George and as did Paul). Here is a link that demythifies that quote (attributing it to a joker)... www.radiox.co.uk/artists/beatles/did-john-lennon-say-ringo-wasnt-even-best-drummer/
+Richard B. Davis Haha! I think John said it in an interview when asked if Ringo was the best drummer in the world. He replied “He’s not even the best drummer in the band”.
Richard B. Davis NOBODY jokes about Ringo anymore - especially with the release of the solo'd Abbey Road tracks ' and this is the most trivialized explanation of this song I've seen.
@@gillripper1 Paul is an OK drummer who learned from this guy named Ringo that he knew somewhat; and the only reason he played on those two songs from the White Album was he was being a total nit and Ringo had had enough, said "piss off, Paul" and went on vacation.
Ringo was monstrous

It’s just a (fairly well known) joke. I absolutely agree with you, Ringo fit The Beatles like no one else could and has a great style and groove.
sorry but did you say that Ringo wasn't the best drummer in the Beatles??? ah... were there other drummers?

@@LearnSomeDrums Actually, John never said that. A comedian joked that John said that.
@@msalzberg4962 you can find the interview on youtube. he did say that

Not the best drummer in the Beatles ??? Explain ???

John never said it, the 'joke' was cracked by British comedian Jasper Carrot in 1984.
