What I will always remember about DJ is in one game JF1 looked concussed and DJ was the guy who was telling him to get off the field and get checked out. That’s a good person and a hell of a teammate.

I really hate the way these guys thought Justin Fields wasn’t good enough… When it obviously wasn’t all his fault… It’s not animosity, it’s shortsightedness, Justin Fields is incredibly talented end of this regime could not develop a quarterback as talented as him then why should we trust them with any quarterback? Keenan Allen had 18 catches for 215 yards in a single game last year vs the Vikings. Chase Claypool had 18 catches for 191 yards in 10 games for Chicago. Just by showing up for Caleb Williams pro day in Bears gear, Allen has already done more for them than Claypool did.

Everyone keeps saying we dont have draft capital but we have the draft capital equivalent in veteran players we received from the said draft capital. So when we make the list of players we received in the draft, it will have to include the players we picked up with our draft picks

Can’t wait for the start of this Bears 2024 season for several reasons. Defense will be top 10 at minimum if everyone stays healthy. Bears also are stacked on offense and it will be a SHOW every Sunday.
And finally, it’ll be so damn interesting to see how Caleb does, because if he starts off slow and Bears go 2-4 the first 6 weeks, I’m curious to see what everyone who thinks he’s this generational QB will say. Hopefully he comes out balling, but still don’t know how to feel about everything being handed to a rookie !

Dj Moore also didn't think too highly of other receivers around him when you asked him about Keenan Allen's addition. He sounded like he wanted to say I finally have another threat next to me. No shade to Mooney, but dj doesn't seem to think he was on an NFL level. Glad we got Allen as an upgrade over Mooney.

@@AdamB34 nah DJ moore's play on the field showed how big of a gap mooney is from being even close to a #1 reciever. Moony is a 3rd or depth guy on a SB winning roster. Fields could win a SB as a starting QB. He would still be the starting QB if carolina won 3 more games, and they had 8 losses by 7 points or less. We only had 5 losses that were within 7 points.
He will ball in Pittsburgh, and week 4 at the latest will be the starter with a good chance to actually win the job. He's just a straight up better version of kenny pickett, and the steelers made the playoffs with him. its not like the pick can become a 2nd or 1st rounder, the ceiling is a 4th round pick and the steelers wouldnt ride him on the bench if he was better over a 4th vs 6th round pick.

In those interviews, when asked about working with Williams, he replied. As of now, Tyson is our starting QB, and we have all the confidence in him. Then, he was asked again, and he replied, "Whoever comes in will have to beat out Tyson, but we are comfortable going into the season with Tyson.

There is no number 1 WR, on pretty much every play at least two are on the field, and they don’t play each others preferred spot, Allen likes the slot, DJ likes the X and Y. Allen is more short yardage, DJ is more intermediate. Allen probably has more catches, DJ probably has more yards. Could still use a 50/50 guy, and true deep threat. Kmet is their intermediate interior pass catcher, DJ is the outside guy, Everett is short outside, and plays HBack, but can also go deep interior. As it stands they just need a guy who can kill teams deep outside and they can attack every level of the Field. As it stands they are dangerous, but could be almost unstoppable with a deep threat.

Something feels so wrong about giving away a young talented cheap experienced capable QB who nearly had your team winning 10 games last season for nothing to the Steelers. The narratives being either that you do not want a competition with the new incoming rookie or that it would be a poisonous situation for the locker room. I guess in our modern times, competing and paying your dues are just unthinkable. I remember for instance Joe Montana coexisting with Steve Young. What happens if an injury happens half way through the season to the rookie QB, would you not want as good as possible ready to step in? You get the feeling that if Fields was a much worse QB he could have been kept as the backup and that the rush and necessity to get him out of door is proof that he was really a good enough QB. It's like we cannot have him around, the rest of the team believes in him, believes he can lead there, we can't have him around. At end of season most people were thinking the Bears can win 10 games or more next season after improving via draft and free agency. Now I am hearing that with Fields gone and with the new QB and with all the improvements to the offense, we should maybe hope they can win 9 or 10 games, that we should be patient and develop and properly nurture the rookie. Like Keyshawn Johnson says, something about all this just does not sit right. I hope it all turns out well for Poles for it all blows up in his face it will be epic.
