Black Americans are leaving from America in a migration to Africa in seemingly record speed, and Kenya is the pearl in the fish's mouth many are going after. The notion for many is that "we are coming back home". Having been "away" for so long, such a return requires a proper reception. The pains, the deferred dreams and longing for joy, inspired and motivated us to present this social affair that would ensure Healing, Hope and Happiness on this journey towards a new beginning. From welcoming to gifting and honoring to an all-out jubilee of celebration through cultural song and dance.

The honour and respect that we show and give our elderly. Am so happy to see her being happy and loss of words. Because of the appreciation that she has. Welcome home our sweet bibi.( bibi is a swahili word we use for our elderly grandmas)

What a celebration 🎉. So, a certain generation of Kenyans will know this song 😊, the words to the portion of it played at 8:36 are 🎶 Kenya kipenzi chetu hatutaiacha milele daima 🎶 translation "Kenya (is) our beloved, we will never leave it ever"

@@wanguikariuki7673 Yes to everything you said - the nostalgia 😊. I know the luo songs too and enjoyed that they played all the instruments (nyatiti, orutu - fiddle, peke - shaker). I was in my high school traditional music/dance group and went all the way to the nationals one year with a Pokot song.

Whoever came up with this idea was truly inspired. What a great idea to immerse our folks from the diaspora to the authentic culture of black folks. Immersing them in traditional dance with traditional music and instruments is a great way to do it, and to add on traditional attires and outfits. The tears on that Cucu's face tells a lot. This can only get bigger and better. Yes, it's good to go for the Safari's, sample the delicious meals at Kenya's five-star restaurants for a fraction of the cost etc., but this type of experience is priceless and life changing. Keep doing it every year or even often, it is part of answering our president's call to invite everyone to visit "home" 👍

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how another tribe came into being in Kenya. After our Indian tribe. Muhamads; you are the progenitors. Keep up the good work, of bringing our children back home! Tears of joy warm our hearts! 😅🎉😂❤
